A/N: Super short chapter, sorry about that, I promise, when the action builds up, so will the chapters. You just have to give this book a try! Also, there will be no "author's note" at the end so the suspense can settle! That's right, suspense!

"You," says Pro. Lidian Sage, or Sage. "Are very, unique. Out of the ordinary. You, you are a, a leopard." She looks at me as if she expects some reaction out of me. I mean, like, cool, I'm a leopard, but why is that special?

Sage sees the obvious confusion in my eyes and opens her mouth, and says, "The leopard is a sly animal. Lonesome and fearless, and very rare." She smiles a wispy smile, caught away in faerie mist.

I watch as the next student, a black haired girl comes up. She doesn't seem like a wildcat. At least I don't think so. "I'm a wildcat," says the girl, and my eyes widen. What?!

"Ahhhh. Wildcats. I know exactly what you are. Another rare, rare changer, a black, a black panther." Sage stares deeply into the girl's golden orange eyes, and for some reason, they seem oddly familiar to me.

I shudder. I'm not sure I like this girl. After all, her eyes are creepy. Not a lot of people have golden orange eyes. Her aura is definitely mixed, and a lot of her aura feels stubborn and dark as night.

So I look at the girl, mesmerized as she stalks toward me. "What are you, even?" she challenges.

"A leopard. A gold rare one." I defend, purposely adding "A rare one".

"No leopard is like you. Shy and defenseless. I am destined for greatness." she boasts. "I am a black panther." I have no reply to the girl's rudeness.

That's when a boy walks by. And turns out to be my lifesaver. "Oh, and just so you know, panthers are leopards with black pigmentation." The boy winks at me, and I stare at him. At his brown hair, with a circle or white on top, his black but kind eyes.

"Thank you," I mouth to the boy, and he nods.
