Meanwhile...

Jacob: "That'll be $64.95."

Jacob is currently operating a cash register at a video game store and has just served a customer.

Jacob: "I always knew I'd get a job here. I'm too perfect."

One of his co-workers is still trying to get used to Jacob's, "talking to himself," issue.

Jacob: "(awkwardly) S-Sorry."

Meanwhile...

Soldier 1: "This is kind of stupid when you think about it."

Thirteen soldiers are standing by a small, video game store, glass windows allowing one to see in and out. They're holding submachine guns.

Soldier 2: "If we fuck up then the President has to pay for the repairs..."

Soldier 3: "... again."

Soldier 4: "(awkwardly) He's still salty about the school incident."

Meanwhile...

Jacob: "(sighing) God dammit."

Jacob can clearly see the soldiers through the glass.

Jacob: "Don't worry, I'll be right back after I go anime on these fuckers."

Jacob steps outside the front door, utterly confusing his co-workers.

Co-Worker: "What the hell?"

Outside...

Jacob: "Now I'm just trying to figure out why my lucky number is out here."

Jacob equips his armor and drawing a golden rapier out of thin air.

Soldier 5: "Lucky number?"

Jacob points the rapier forward.

Jacob: "It's thirteen, unlike the number of you guys left when I'm done with you."

Bullets begin to fly.

Jacob: "Haven't dealt with those bad boys yet. Guess there's a first time for everything.

Jacob begins to deflect bullets at unnatural speeds as his co-workers watch in awe, unknowingly to the combatants.

Meanwhile...

The boy in the black trench coat and purple eyes is strolling by a road leading straight through the middle of a shopping center.

Boy: "(sighing) At least I've still have my games."

He looks towards a scuffle with the soldiers.

Boy: "(sighing) Not my problem."

He continues to stroll by.

Meanwhile...

Jacob: "For being in the military you've got some shit aim."

Jacob has skewered a soldier's throat and swiftly pulls the blade out.

Soldier 6: "He's fast!"

Jacob slashes the sword sideways towards the soldiers, flinging the blood on their faces.

Jacob: "And defender of all things holy and anime."

Jacob points the blade forward.

Jacob: "You know that you can run away like a bunch of cowards and keep your lives, or die in vain for a dumbass at the top. Your pick."

They reload their guns.

Soldier 7: "W-We choose to fight."

All but three choose to fight.

Jacob: "See? They're the smart ones here."

Jacob prepares another defensive stance.

Meanwhile...

Boy: "Hm?"

The boy can see three soldiers running like a child when their dad jump scares them when they get back from school.

Boy: "What the hell are they running from?"

His eyes glows purple before he begins to teleport a few meters between more teleports towards the runaways.

Meanwhile...

Jacob: "Hey, hey, hey! Calm down a little."

The bullets are heading for Jacob in a more controlled manner.

Soldier 2: "You aren't taking any more lives!"

Jacob only managed to take down another two before they had begun actually aiming.

Jacob: "You've got to hate when your enemies get their shit together."

Jacob just got a bullet to graze his right cheek.

Meanwhile...

Boy: "Tell me who the hell you're fighting or this bullet will do more than pierce your skull."

The boy has pinned all three runaways down in a pile.

Runaway 1: "A-A Catalyst!"

The boy grinds his boot into his chest.

Boy: "A description. I have no idea what a Catalyst is."

Runaway 2: "A-A child wearing g-gold and silver a-armor!"

Gold and silver armor triggers a memory in the boy.

Boy: "A child in that armor?"

Runaway 3: "A-A little older than you..."

The boy gets off them.

Boy: "Now get the hell out of here."

The soldiers run in panic as the boy walks towards the scuffle.

Boy: "(sighing) A child wearing the Original One's armor? That's a story right there."

Meanwhile...

Jacob: "Shit!"

A bullet went through just below Jacob's chest.

Soldier 4: "Talk about a weakness!"

That soldier is about to send a report to higher ups.

Jacob: "(coughing) No!"

In that instant, a bullet enters the soldier's neck and explodes that turns his head into a paste and the device is destroyed.

???: "Guess those cowards weren't lying."

The boy is holding a revolver forward, eyes glowing purple once again.

Soldier 5: "A-Another Creation?"

Jacob: "(smirking) Jay Kros."

Jay looks at Jacob.

Jay: "Seems like it wasn't some kid who got lucky with his getup."

A golden aura surrounds Jay.

Soldier 1: "W-We're screwed!"

Jay teleports next to Jacob.

Jay: "Then what's your name?"

Jacob: "It's Jacob Kramer."

They face the soldiers dead on as Jay holsters his gun and draws two daggers.

Jay: "It's like-"

Jacob: "Jake and the others?"

Two more daggers are drawn and float above Jay as his eyes glow purple.

Jay: "You really do know."

The aura glows brighter as the soldiers open fire and the other two daggers float in the air.

Jacob/ Jay: "Synergy Attack..."

Jay sends the daggers through the bullets as Jacob slices through them.

Jacob/ Jay: "...Future Hope..."

Jay's daggers slice and knocks all of the soldiers into a straight line with the force of the slashes.

Jacob/ Jay: "... Inner Hunter Style!"

Jacob dashes forward, skewering all of the soldiers like a kebab through the heart, even sending his hands through the first few to make sure he got all of them.

Jacob: "(pulling out blade) That's an A in both style and lethality."

Jacob takes off the armor, showing that all of the soldiers now drop to the ground.

Jay: "(smirking) Nice."

Jacob sees his co-workers cheering through the window, even his boss.

Jacob: "(awkwardly) Looks like they were watching that."

Jay begins to walk away.

Jacob: "H-Hey! If you wait for me to finish my shift I can take you to Jake and Jack."

Jay stops walking in the direction he was before and now towards the store.

Jay: "I'm listening."

The two head for the store...
