Chapter two
Lacey:
Once she was a good sixty miles out of the city and she was sure no one would recognise her in this last small town before the open road, she decided to stop for gas.
The car seemed pretty economical and the fuel light had only engaged 15 minutes earlier.
She stepped out of the car and rounded the back to the fuel cap. She left the fuel running for the assistant to manage and went inside to grab some last minute supplies for the long journey ahead.
Deciding on some essential things like plenty of water (just in case the water was off at the ranch) and some light snacks for the road, she paid for her fuel and strolled back towards the direction of what she now called her car.
"Nice ride," a gruff voice commented from behind her. She started at the sound of his voice and dropped one of the water bottles she had been holding.
"Uh, thanks," she replied, wanting the conversation to end promptly. He bent down and picked up the bottle lying now still on the ground.
"You're not from around here are you? Where're you headed?" He carefully picked.
"Nowhere of your concern," she said a little too roughly before opening the drivers door and sliding into the seat.
She started the engine and pulled out of the gas station. Maybe she was a bit too on edge she thought. She just wished she could get there soon so she could complete her mission in peace.

Tyrone:
Tyrone was getting bored and frankly quite hot sitting in the boot. The last stop had been what he thought he successfully counted as 3 hours ago. He hasn't heard the whooshing of another car passing in half that time. The rope binding his hands and feet together was starting to chaff.
He longed for the luxury of his 4 storey estate. He could picture himself now taking a relaxation therapy session in the sauna room. But then he came back to reality and realised what he pictured as being sauna steam was just pit sweats.
He imagined that people would start to notice his absence soon. Or at least he hoped. He wasn't exactly a social person and preferred some alone time over the party scene. The only reason he had been at the casino that night was because he wanted to forget.
Forget the media, the paparazzi, everyone. Especially her. The minute he walked in on his now ex girlfriend getting it on with his brother it was over. He knew she was the flirty type but didn't think she would actually cheat on him.
The anger was too much for him and he was sure he would have easily broken out of his confinement at any second had the car just not pulled into a location and stopped.
It's show time, he thought getting into a good position.
