Brothers

"Are you sure you're ready Capri?" Dad asked, as everyone else flipped on their safety goggles. I gulped and flipped my own on and wiggled my hand in the glove one more time. We had been over the process several times already but I was so nervous, every time they told me, it felt like it was the first time.

"Y-yeah. I am. I got this. We got this. We can do it." I reassured myself. Dad nodded and began the count down.

"Everyone ready?" Dad asked. They all nodded. Each of their hands glowed and they all put their hands together and opened the portal. "On the count of 3 Capri! 1... 2... 3... Now Capri!" Dad shouted. I focused all my magic and held the portal open. My left eye glowed brighter blue then it ever had in my entire life. Within like 3 seconds, 9 body's fell through the portal, a baffled mess. "Shut it down!" I nodded and took a deep breath and unfocused my magic. And then the portal closed soon after. And the moment the portal closed, I felt really dizzy. I shook my head and followed all the Gasters lead.

"We... We did it. Kiddo we did it! We found them!" Dadfell exclaimed, and scooped me up and spun me around. I laughed. Then Dadfell tossed me to Dadswap.

"We did it! They are all here! And they are all okay!" Dadswap announced. Then all the Gasters burst into tears and rushed to their sons, untangling them and everything. Meanwhile I was super dizzy, and decided it would be best if I wait for the reunion to be over. My brothers have dads that they've been separated from for years. So I made my way upstairs and got myself a glass of water. Then about half way through my glass, I hear shouting.

"CAPRI!"

"KIDDO!"

"DEAREST!"

"CAPRICORN!"

"LITTLE ONE!"

"Well that break is over." I sighed, and then rushed back down stairs. "You called?" I asked, still holding my water in my hand. "All at once might I add."

I waved at the boys, who were all pretty shocked and then walked towards Dad.

"Hold on. What in the name of Asgore is going on here?" Classic Sans asked. I looked to the Gasters and waited for them to start explaining.

"ITS A HUMAN!!"
I dropped the glass, which shattered in that moment. I felt myself being thrown against the wall... Again. And again. And Again. I Until I was dropped on the ground.

"That is no way to treat your sister!" Dad announced.

"Sister?! You expect us to believe that Thing, is our sister?!" Papyrusfell asked. Dadfell glared at his Papyrus. And he was shut up... For the most part.

"Are you okay, Dearest?" Dadswap asked. I nodded and got to my feet.

"After the first three times, you kinda get used to it..." I replied. Dadfell laughed at my comment.

"You sure? No broken bones?" Dad asked. I rolled my eyes.

"Honestly, you guys really have to stop worrying about my bones! I have skin and muscle that make it hard for them
to break, first of all. And second of all, I can take care of myself! Not only have I learned to cope with magical abilities, which by the way, I didn't even know I had, but on top of that, I'm a 12 year old waitress making maximum wage at Antoinette's!" I exclaimed. The Gasters were taken a back by my sudden outburst, but in the moment, I was overwhelmed and stressed. I pressed my fingers to my temples. I was starting to feel dizzy again.

"Capri. Are you sure your Okay?" OuterDad asked. I squinted my eyes, gulped and shook my head. What was going on with me.

"My head really hurts." I replied. I reopened my eyes. The Gasters looked at me concerned. "What? What's wrong?" I asked.

"You're eyes. They are super bright " Dad replied. I raised an eyebrow.

"What?" I asked. Dadswap handed me his phone so I could see my reflection. Dad was right. Both my eyes were neon colors of their original hues. "Well... That's odd." I remarked. I shook my head. No change. "And strangely satisfying..." I continued. I looked to Dad for assistance.

"I've never seen anything like that happen to you before, Capri." Dad replied.

"You and me both." I replied.

"I don't recall you having ever opening a portal and making life form come through it at the same time." Souldad explained.

"Except for when I first got here." I reasoned.

"Yes, but that was a small portal, and a small life form." Dad responded.

"But you don't know the after effects! What if this just happens after I do something like this? What if it just fades out?" I asked. Then I felt something whirling around in the pit of my stomach. I groaned and held my stomach with one arm. "Well this couldn't get anymore pleasant." I remarked sarcastically.

"Headache, stomach pains, sounds to me like that portal opening really drained ya, Kiddo." Dadfell announced.

"Ya, think?" I asked.

"Capricorn, just try to calm down, okay?" OuterDad asked. I drew in a deep breath, and nodded.

"Alright. I'm calm." I replied after a few moments. The Gasters looked at me funny. "What? I swear!" I laughed with a shoulder shrug. Then one of my brothers stepped forward, I recognized him immediately as Sans from Underswap. He was only a few inches shorter then me, and was dressed in blue and silver armor, as he had been in the picture Dadswap showed me, a few weeks back. He looked at me, really taking in my appearance, I could tell just by his eyes. After a few moments of observation, Sans grabbed my hand and looked at it closely, comparing it to his own. I guess flesh and muscles were new concepts for him. He looked to his brother, Papyrus, with a smile. Underswap Papyrus wore an orange hoodie, green shorts, and white sneakers. Sans looked back to me and without another moments hesitation, wrapped me in a tight embrace. At first I was shocked. I looked to my other brothers, who were just as shocked as I was. Finally, I decided that it was safe (in the least) to hug Sans back. "Hey Swap, I gonna take a wild guess here." I announced, causally.

"How did you know?!" Dadswap exclaimed. I laughed.

"He retains a lot of your traits. Acceptance, Kindness, Enthusiasm... Plus he's just Huggable." I replied. "You're surprisingly warm for a skeleton." I announced to Sans.

"You're surprisingly human-like for our sister." Sans replied. I nodded.

"Touché" I replied. Finally, Sans let go of me and grabbed my hand and dragged my to Underswap Papyrus. I turned my head to Dadswap and smiled. "Watch this," I mouth to Dadswap with a wink, then turned back to Papyrus, "You both must be Underswap Sans and Papyrus. It's very nice to finally meet you. I've heard quite a bit about you guys. Well... I guess a bit is an understatement... It's more like... Practically everyday. You should know that your father really cares a lot about you. I should know, I'm the one that hears about it 24/7." I announced. I turned my head to the direction of all the Gasters. "Actually," I stepped back a few steps, and looked to each of my brothers."I hear it from all of your fathers. Even if their to shy," I stated looking to OuterDad and Souldad, "strong," I paused, looking to Dadfell, "busy," I paused again, looking to Dad, "or say it out loud every day, no matter who's watching," I paused, looking to Dadswap. "I hear it, see it, heck, I breathe it for crying out loud. The point is...," I paused and looked to my brothers, but held out a hand to the Gasters, "They care about you all an awful lot, and have regretted ever leaving you all. And now comes the part where they are probably going to kill me, but they were so scared that you'd never forgive them for lying to you, they almost didn't have me do this." I explained. My brothers looked to their fathers in awe. I gave it a few moments before I continued. "They were also scared for my well being, they told me that we didn't have to do this. That you might not accept me. That you'd much rather capture me, or whatever it is that you may do with humans in your timeline. But, I could tell they missed you all way to much for me not to do this. Now I'm going to make this perfectly clear to all of you okay. I don't care if you don't like me, or if you'd rather break one of your bones, or whatever the saying is where your from, then be my siblings. This isn't for me. It's for our fathers. So do me this one favor and just..." I trailed off, and started to cry. I couldn't believe I was saying this to my own brothers. "J-just tolerate me, dang it." I hiccuped. I let the tears stream down my face and closed my eyes to keep from crying even more. Then I felt an embrace. Then another. And another. Soon enough, I was unable to move due to all the embraces around me. I opened my eyes and looked around all of my brothers, all 9 of them, surrounded me and were hugging me (Some putting in more effort then others). I smiled. "Th-thank you." I hiccuped.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
From that day on I learned two things. One, that my brothers could always tolerate me, and two that they had soft spots for tears.
