⏩Chapter 4⏪
"Shit, shit, shit!", Jimin exclaimed.
His legs were pushing with force. He was pedaling automatically, so rushed. All the movements seemed to be in a haotic manner.
"Get out of my way!", he screamed to the people walking on the street. Of course he dogged them. Just in time. The boy's expression was desperate, his eyes were focused with his gaze jumping everywhere.
All the figures passing seemed to not notice the commotion, everyone minding their own business. Cars with different colours wich mattered to no one were roaring around. The blue and clear sky seemed like it ate all the pufy clouds. With all of these, the air was cold. Sun didn't have any power yet.
"Slow down!". Behind him, Hoseok was running with his soul already leaving his body. "Maybe it was just a prank! How can we know?!", he said breathlessly. The orange haired had a hard time keeping up with the mad man with a evil blue bike. 'Aish, why is he like this'.
"It can't be. My brother won't do that!", Jimin screamed over his shoulder, a second not paying attention to the road ahead him. It took Hoseok a blink of an eye to realise what had happened. The sound of metal falling down and crashing with force, followed by a thud and some cursing...
He ran to the pile of limbs stacked in a mountain over each other.
"Watch were you are going, fucking dumbass!", a strong and hoarse voice filled their ears.
Hoseok quickly went to them and helped Jimin up, receiving a yelp of pain. The brown haired proped himself in the corner of a building, supporting his body with his hands.
"Damn it, are you blind?", a grey haired boy said as the orange haired lifted the bike wich fell on him.
"I'm sorry!", Hoseok said as he helped him up as well. Only just then, the grey haired realised that he had seen this bike somewhere. It seemed to be oddly familiar. He had one like this and lost it weeks ago.'Wait a minute...'
Even with all of this agitation nobody didn't seem to care enough to stop and see what happened. It was like they were in another universe in the same place. More simpler said...were they this invisible?
"C'mon, Hobi! We have to go", Jimin suddenly said limping around and dragging Hoseok by the sleeve. "We can't lose this chance!"
"Yah!- wait!", he said as he was dragged and soon desapeared into the mass of people, leaving the grey haired alone. He was shocked and his arms and legs clearly hurt. This was definitely going to leave a bruise. If not more than that. Quickly, the boy checked the device hanging over his neck. Inspecting it carefully.
"Thank you god, I promise I won't curse so much in the future", he said out loud, not even thinking about the ones around. If they don't care, why should he?
It was hard for him to process what has just hapened.'Well shit...there goes my bike.'
He started limping back to what he considered home. It seemed like the the session of taking pictures around wasn't going to happen today. His arms were hurting too much...

"Soup to table four!", a tall man said walking to a closed door. Sounds of crashing cutlery and bangs were heard, followed by stomping feet on the white floor.Well...almost white.
The door opened revealing an unamused face. "Namjoon cut it out. Nobody's here," He said mad, fixing his apron with care. "It's not funny."
The said man, pouted but then his lips formed a thin line, a smile. On his cheeks appeared dimples. "I like it when you are mad", he made a pause to smile harder. "And I like it when you wear the pink one". The purple haired said as he got closer to the others face and gently touched his apron. "Why are you staying alone in the kitchen, hm? I am here alone, hyung". He looked in his eyes and whispered,"I don't like to stay alone, Prince".
Jin was wordless as his breath remained caught in his throat. Already his face was slowly starting to burn. He laid on the door frame as the other was coming closer...and closer. Soon, their faces were inches apart, none of them breaking eye contact. Namjoon licked his lips with slight lust. As soon as their lips were going to connect-
The entrance door smashed with force agains the glass walls. Sound of fabric and heaved steps were filling the silent restaurant.'You've got to be kidding me ', Jin sighed laudly, same did Namjoon, as he looked down, probably thinking the same thing.
"Oh my god, you guys were smooching again", the grey haired said as he went past them. "Just kiss already"
Yoongi went upstairs on the stairs that were behind the counter, next to the kitchen door, in the back of the restaurant. Jin saw with the corner of his eye how the boy climbed them slower than he should have, scrunching his face. Jin noted to himself to check that later.
"He's back already? I thought he went to take pictures or to the beach again", Jin said as he heard the sound of a closing door. Yoongi already isolated himself in his room. "I hope nothing hapened", he said, eyes still upstairs, in the direction of his room. The brown haired felt something off, his maternal instincts making him forget for moment what he was actually doing with Namjoon.
"Take care at work, will you. Don't hurt yourself by breaking things", Jin pecked him on the cheek, leaving the other surprised.
"I will", he said smiling as he went to take his suitcase from the counter. "See you in the evening, Princess"
"I love-", Jin was about to say but the other was already gone. The brown haired smiled a little sad as be went to make something fast to eat for himself and Yoongi. He will coock properly later, when he makes dinner like always.

"Jimin, calm down", Hoseok said stern while crouching in front of him on the dirt. Jimin was on his knees with his head hung low.
"He called me on my phone...my brother called me on my phone, it was his voice,I heard him, it was the same voice, I swear, I-"
"It's okay", the orange haired put his hands on the others shoulders, looking in his eyes.
"It is not okay! Jesus! Hobi, it is the first sign I get from my brother in years since he went missing! !! You know what that means?! In fucking years! He's all I have left!", his eyes were glassy. "How can you say it is okay!?"
Hoseok was struck with the powerful yet despairing tone. He didn't know what to do so he hugged Jimin tight. "It's okay", he said again as he felt him relax slightly, his tensed body close to his.
"He said to meet here...I am sure", Jimin continued but this time softer, his voice being muffled by his friend's shoulder. "He said he was sorry...". Jimin felt the hug tighten.
They stayed for some time like that. Wind was brushing against them and threes were dancing along with it. The sun was up, heating the cold ground. The boys were currently close to one of the exits of the town, near the main forest. Parallel with them was the highway going far to another destination, unknown and unimportant for them. At random moments, few cars were passing in speed.
This was the unusual place, where Jimin and his brother used to spend time in childhood. They would enter the forest too and play around since there weren't any hostile animals there. They would look at the sky and compare clouds with anything. They would go running back home when it was lunch time, lucky for them, their house was close. They would eat the tasty food their mother made and then play again untill evening. They would...
His brother started to act strange, shout at their parents, stay in his room for days or even, leave the house for days, without saying a word. He was ignoring his family. Jimin didn't exist for him anymore and since he didn't have friends, or at least someone close to his age, it wasn't easy. His brother made him cry so many times and Jimin still blames himself. He knew something hapened. His brother couldn't be like that...it was a mask, right?
All of this torture went for years, untill, when they were older, his brother desapeared without trace...On top of that, his parents divorced and he was left to live with his mother. She has loved her husband dearly, same with her kids. But the pain of losing was unbearable, to a point were Jimin would find her staring for hours to a wall or the carpet. He would hear her talking by herself. She began to forget the most important things and the brown haired had to take care of her.
Untill...
His uncle helped. He got her into a hospital for psychotic people and helped Jimin with money and school. When he recently started highschool, he moved out in an apartment in the heart of the city, always being supported by his uncle. Jimin felt like all the peoole around him were leaving, only in painfull ways. He was scared. Of himself.
"It's okay", Hoseok said again.

"Stupid brother"
As he was walking, the boy kicked a random can wich was lying on the street. The dark sky was showering in bright srars. It wasn't very late, but he sincerely prefered to stay in his loved home at that time. Only his angry stomach made him get out. The streets were almost empty and some cars were heard, their engines polluting the air.

Suddenly something got Jimin's attention. The boy stopped on his tracks looking to his right. He was staring at an announcement wrote on a paper and glued on a glass door. The writing was organised and in pink ink?
Jimim had a puzzled expression as his gaze landed on the illuminated sign from above. He took a few steps back to read it. "Eat Jin?", he said loud. "It seems they hire people as waiters, hm", he read the paper again.
He opened the door with a loud creak. As soon as the brown haired stepped inside, the atmosphere changed. Everything looked different. The floor was slightly dirty, the walls lost their white aspect, now were a little yellowish and some of the lights weren't working. Jimin gulped. The red seats were empty...actually, the whole local was empty. He carefully inspected the room. The space behind the counter was dark. The brown haired wished that Hoseok was with him at this moment. After the incident near the exit of the town, he had something else to do, something about his parents. Jimin just hopes everything was alright.
"WELCOME TO 'EAT JIN' RESTAURANT, MY NAME IS JIN, WHAT CAN I GET YOU?". A loud voice, almost like a shout engulfed everything making Jimin jump out of his skin and yelp. A small scream escaped Jin's lips.
"Fuck, you scared me- I mean, good evening, sir! I'm sorry!", Jimin scolded himself for letting those bad words slip so easily.
"I am so sorry for scaring you!", the name identified as Jin said. "Here, have a seat", he said gesturing in front of him. "What can I get you?", Jin smiled.
"Um..I saw that you are hiring people? Are there any other posts available? I would like to-"
"Ah yes we have!", Jin cut the boy quickly, forgetting for a moment what he was about to say. "We need someone as a waiter and someone to work in the kitchen". He displayed another warm smile as he made Jimin sit on a random table, close to the counter. The tall man sat across, in front of the younger.
They found themselves discusing about working hours and paying. Jimin felt weird about the situation and had a strange feeling deep inside. Something isn't right. On the orher side, he was happy. This seemed like a stable job with a decent paying and perfect working hours, without messing his school time.
"So, don't worry, I will be here all the time, I'm living upstairs", the older pointed up with his index finger.
"And I-"
Suddenly, multiple noises were heard. Somebody was climbing down the stairs. Jimin would lie if he said he wasn't scared. He imagined a monster appearing, due to the heavy steps being placed in a ritmic motion. Soon, the sounds diminushed and from the back of the restaurand, behind Jin, came into view a young boy.
"Don't mind me, I need more ice", he failed to notice that Jin wasn't alone. He soon came closer with a pack placed on his left wrist. "Were's the food? Didn't you cook today?". His voice made everything vibrate. The low tone and slightly cracked sounding so contrasting, Jimin was intrigued. Just then Yoongi recognised the stranger, almost dropping the ice pack.
"Don't you see that I am in the middle of doing something important?", Jin turned, glancing over his shoulder. He then pointed to the stranger in front of him. "Go and grab something from the kitchen". 'He always cuts my words, he's incurable...', Jin thought.
In response, the gray haired watched the stranger intensely, making Jimin to want to bury himself.
"Right", Jin said. "Jimin, this is Yoongi. Yoongi, this is Jimin", he gestured. "Now go away, I need to finish".
"Oh, I know him", Yoongi said sharp, pressing harder the ice pack. Suddenly, something clicked in Jimin's head when he saw the camera hanging from the other's neck. 'It can't be...', he tought.
"I'm so sorry!!", Jimin said out of nowhere as he got up and bowed deep in front of Yoongi. The sudden jolt scared Jin a little. "I'm sorry I hit you with the bike this morning! ", he said still bowing.
Yoongi was taken aback by the gesture. Inside. Outside he had the same expressionless face. "Apology accepted", the boy said short. "But that bike of yours...isn't yours actually".
"How dramatic...", Jin thought sarcastically.
Jimin lift himself with a confused face.
"It's mine kid"
And for the second time, everything clicked in his head, the last o piece of the puzzle being placed in it's spot. He remembered the argument between the boys from the beach. How Hoseok took the bike and both of them were using it. It happened weeks ago. And now, the more he was looking at both of them, the more he was remembering.
"I am so sorry, we were still looking for the owner. I will bring it to you tomorrow! As soon as I can!"
"No need to worry", Jin said as he giggled. "You're hired, congrats". He smiled sweetly. "Your program starts from tomorrow". He got up, going to the kitchen. "I'm making you something, don't worry about money, consider it as a gift. Why don't you guys chat a little". He closed the door as he left them alone.
The atmosphere between them was weird and a little tensioned. 'Great, now he's making food for the one who hit me'. Yoongi thought as he sat on Jin's chair. Jimin's eyes widened when he saw the purple bruises forming on the others arms. They weren't many, but they seemed rather painful.
"I'm really sorry for hitting you. I wasn't paying attention"
"Pay next time", he said as he put the ice pack on the table and took the camera, turing it on. It was a method of his to make time pass when he was feeling uncomfortable. Yoongi would scroll around, looking at old pictures he took.

'Picture taken 1 year ago', Yoongi read on the screen.
"Is photography your hobby?", Jimin asked trying to spark a conversation.
"Obviously", the other said short, not lifting his gaze.
He continued asking him basic questions but didn't get anything. So he decided to approach him in other manner.
"Do you belive in cameras?", the brown haired broke the silence.
"What do you mean?", Yoongi was confused at first but it sparked his interest without his acknowledge. Just like lightning up a match.
"I don't think they-", he couldn't finish as Jin appeared from nowhere with a plate full of food wich made Jimin drool over. It's smell was incredible, making his stomach ache from hunger.
"Do you know the beachside from the west side of the city? We'll meet there to give me the bike. Tomorrow at 6:00 pm sharp", Yoongi said as he left to his room, leaving the younger to eat in an awkward silence while Jin was staring and smiling at him, complimenting himself about how good and tasty his food is.

In a dark room, filled with cigarette smoke, a man with a treathening attitude was sitting in a black chair. One hand holding the deathly cigar, the other holding a phone to his ear.

"Boss, it seems like he contacted his little brother this morning and told his location. They didn't meet. When his little brother reached the meeting place, he was already gone. Again, his older brother left no trace behind"
"Were was he seen the last time?", his baritone voice made the walls shredder.
"The older one? At the exit of the town"
"And his little brother?", his hand held thight the phone.
"Today, in the centre of the town. He was with someone, boss, but it wasn't our target.
"Why didn't you get him! Why am I still paying you!", he screamed angry. "Do you want your family in hell?"
"No! I will do my best this time"
"Hope so", he exaled the white smoke. "If you don't want your child in your wardrobe, in pieces".
On the other line, the man made a pause, followed by a gulp.
"So, this time, you better bring him as a trap for that fucker who dared to steal from me. Got it? Oh and...what was his little brother's name?"
"Park Jimin, sir"
"Good, you know what to do"
"Yes, boss"
And the line went dead.
