Chapter 6

(Levy POV)

"You have been at this for a few hours, Miss Levy, you should take a break," Freed told me, I looked over at Jet and Droy, who agreed with him.

"But I am close, I am sure of it," I told him and then looked at my translations of the runes to see that something was wrong with them, "What I was so close."

"These runes are a lot more difficult than the ones on the bars, and you need to take a break," Freed told me again, I was going to protest when I was suddenly lifted into the air. I turned my head to see that Gajeel was holding me by the collar of my shirt.

"You need rest, you're going to burn the paper if you keep on staring at it," he told me, "Let's take a walk." I sighed in submission as he carried me off and out of the basement. After we got to the top of the stairs, he put me down and he told me to follow him.

"If you want something to do you can follow me, I need to find something in this place," he told me, obviously trying to get me to do something other than think about the enchantment. He sniffed the ground and started walking in one direction, and I followed him. We started a cycle of walking, stopping, then walking again, until we came to a small door. It was smaller than the basement doorway, not by much, but it was small enough to make it obvious that Gajeel wouldn't fit through it. No matter how small he made himself, he wasn't slim enough to get his shoulders through the door.

"Open the door, in the very back there should be a large bag in there, the one with a golden strap holding it close, that's the one," he told me, I opened the door and entered the room. Along the walls were an assortment of weapons and books. I continued to the back of the room and then I saw the bag Gajeel was talking about. It was a large bag with a golden strap, it also had a small rune like markings under the strap, I guess it was to seal it shut. I grabbed the bag and started to walk back to the door when one of the books caught my eye. I grabbed it and looked at the cover, 'Advance Runes: Sealing,' it said I grabbed the book and continued to walk to Gajeel. When I reached the door, he asked me what the book was for.

"I have been looking at the enchantment the wrong way, it is a sealing enchantment with blocking runes overlaying it," I told him, but he gave me a confused look, I can't wait to tell Freed, this will help us in the enchantments.

(Laxus POV)

'I can't believe it, Gramps hasn't changed a bit,' I thought with amusement as I watched the old man trying to help the best he could. Even though the redhead, Erza I think, was trying to get the man to go back to the guild, and handle his work there, running away from the paperwork as always. I looked around at Natsu and Lucy, she was asleep against the firebrain. Wendy was in her lap while Sting and Rouge were at her sides, protecting her from any harm. Natsu was pretending to sleep, so he could watch the human mages, and make sure that none of them did anything funny. I tried to see if I could recognize any of the others but I couldn't. That Bastard of a Father took me away only a few days after that brown haired girl with the dog showed up. After he changed me into this, I was able to escape, I ran into Natsu and Lucy a few years later. I was trying to be careful not to get spotted by any dragons while I was still getting used to being one myself.

I heard from Gramps in a long distant past that pack dragons don't take kindly to loners in their territory, when I met Lucy, I was attacked by some dragons. I had crashed in a field after a dragon pack had driven me out of their territory. I had stumbled upon them by accident but they weren't any less brutal in driving me out.

Flashback

RWARRRR!!!! I heard the dragons cry, I felt a sharp pain near my Fairy Tail mark, as I started to plummet down. I saw a clearing in the distance and I forced my wings to move towards it. When my wings stopped moving, I began to speed towards the hard ground. I hit the ground and I blacked out.

After what I could only guess was hours, I opened my eyes, I looked at the wreck I had made. I couldn't move my body so I was expecting to die from my wounds, that scratch on my side was starting to really bleed, creating a pool of blood at my side.

'Haha, I didn't even get to see Gramps one last time,' I thought sadly. I closed my eyes and I waited for my slow and painful demise, when I heard footsteps. I opened my eyes to see a girl who was a teenager at the most. She had golden hair; it was a bit darker than mine was when I was still human. She had brown eyes, and she was wearing a black jacket with golden trims over a pink shirt and white pants. I expected her to run as soon as she saw me, but instead without hesitation she ran to me. My hearing was starting to get fuzzy but I think she was calling someone, the last thing I saw was a large red shape, and then I was back into the black void again.

I woke to a soothing sensation on my side, I opened my eyes to see the golden girl again, she had company this time. There were three dragons with her.

'Did she somehow call these dragons to finish me off?' I thought as I looked around. I looked at my side to see that there was a little blue dragon, she was creating a green blue mist from her mouth, it was healing my wound. I looked at the other dragons as well, I tried to look around for others, and an escape route, if I needed to. There was a metal dragon who was staring at me suspiciously with his red eyes. There was a snake looking dragon, he was probably a poison dragon, he looked like the one that bit my leg, just like this dragon was maroon and not green like the one that bit me.

"You don't trust us, Artificial Dragon," I heard someone say, they were talking to me. 'Artificial Dragon' is by far the nicest thing someone has called me, since I had been turned into a dragon. I looked over shocked to see that it was the girl who was talking to me. I was panicking now, because I was severely injured surrounded by dragons and I couldn't get away. Most dragons don't usually let me stick around long enough to see if I was a real dragon or not, but those who do try to kill me even before I can try to explain.

"Don't worry, we won't kill you or attack you, in fact we want you to join our pack," the girl told me. I almost laughed, is this a joke, these real dragons are asking me, a fake, to join their pack. "I am being serious, plus you aren't the first artificial dragon we have, Erik is one too," the girl told me, sensing my disbelief.

I took a sniff of the girl and I noticed that she was completely human. I noticed a small scent of fire that followed her scent, I looked to see that the red dragon that she was with smelt the same as that fire, I don't know much about dragon groups but doesn't that she is that dragon's-

"Do you want to join us, or do you want to start wandering the territories of other dragon packs forever?" she asked me, interrupting my thoughts, I thought for a moment. Being almost killed by other dragons for the rest of my life or having a chance to see Gramps again. I immediately agreed to join them without a second thought

Flashback End

'That was the best decision of my life, other than the fact that we were kidnapped and locked away and used as guinea pigs, it was the best thing to happen to me,' I thought. I secretly lifted up my wings, and I looked at the black Fairy Tail mark on my side. It was surrounded by scars and other 'trophies' from my past life as a lone dragon. It was the last thing I had from my life before becoming a dragon.

When I was a little boy, a few days before Bastard took me from the guild, I sneaked into Gramps office and stamped myself with Fairy Tail's guild mark.  I did this because even as a kid I knew that my dad was up to no good when he started to pack up our things. I stamped myself to show him where my loyalty lays, with Gramps and Fairy Tail, not with him.

After he changed me into a dragon with that lacrima, I was happy to see that the mark remained there. It was like Mavis was saying that no matter what form I took, I was still a member of Fairy Tail. After my escape, I listened to gossip on the road and read any articles of newspaper or magazines that were left behind in travel. I learned what was going on with Fairy Tail after I was taken. I wanted to go back so badly, but I was afraid that they wouldn't recognize me because of what I had become, a dragon. I also was afraid of hurting Gramps; I still didn't have much control of my powers back then and I didn't want to hurt anyone so I stayed away. I would ask Lucy to tell me if anything new had happened to the guild whenever she went to town to get things for herself and Kinana.

Now, it was almost unbelievable, that I was so close to Fairy Tail, so close to coming home.

I wanted to get Laxus's point of view when he was changed into a dragon, remember he was still a little kid when he was changed into a dragon, so I hope that you liked it.

I don't own Fairy Tail
