"So, she's due any day now, huh?" Asked the doctor that replaced Braiden, Carly, Dr. Zane, Iris. Iris was a kind young lady with short blonde hair and brown eyes. I didn't have to worry about her flirting with me since she was a lesbian.

I smiled softly as I looked at the pictures from the ultrasound.

"Yeah. I can't wait to hold my baby girl." I said softly. Iris cooed out an aw.

"If there were more guys like you in the world, Dr. Trafalgar, I think that I would be bisexual at minimum." She said with a laugh. I sighed.

"I think that if there were more guys like me, there would be more lesbians, Iris-ya." I said. Iris burst in to laughter.

"Oh, Law! There you are!" I heard Dr. Giard say. I looked up at him.

"Yes, Dr. Giard-ya? You needed me?" I asked.

"Law, you're off for the rest of the day." He said. My eyebrows pulled together.

"What-" I started.

"You're wife is down in the maternity ward. She's gone in to labor." He said. I leapt from my seat.

"Why didn't they page me down there?!" I quickly clocked out and ran to the maternity ward.

"There you are, Dr. Trafalgar! Mrs. Trafalgar is down this way." Said the receptionist, Genesis.

"Law!" Aka called out when I entered the room. I ran to her side and took her hand in mine.

"I'm here, Aka-ya. I've got you." I said, kissing her hand as she clutched to mine with a bone crushing grip.

"Just on time, Dr. Trafalgar." Said Dr. Alastor D Lilith.

After a full 16 hours, Aka's screams were replaced with the screams of an innocent baby girl.

"A little girl!" Dr. Alastor D Lilith said.

"Lami. My little Lami." Aka gasped. Dr. Alastor D Lilith cleaned the crying baby off and wrapped her in a little pink blanket and placed her in Aka's arms.

"Oh, hello little one. Hello baby girl. Look at you. You're so pretty." Aka panted to our baby. I fell to my knees at the beautiful sight before me. The baby let out a small soft cry.

"Law... look at her. She's so beautiful." Aka said, happy tears rolling down her cheeks. I wrapped my arm around her and my daughter.

"She's gorgeous. Our little Lami-ya." I said. I leaned in and kissed her head. She let out a small squeak as I did. I felt tears rolling down my cheeks.

"Do you want to hold her?" Aka asked me. I looked at her.

"Can I?" I asked. She laughed at me and held our baby girl out to me. I smiled and wrapped my arms around her protectively and held her to my chest, near my heart.

"Hello, my little darling. My little princess." I said softly to her. I stroked her cheeks softly. She let out a small content squeak and went to sleep in my arms. I smiled at her as she did.

"She's so tiny." I said. I took in her baby appearance. Purple hair like her mother's and darkend skin like mine. I chuckled.

"You're such a pretty little girl, Lami-ya. Looks like Daddy-ya is going to be fighting away boys when you get bigger. My precious baby girl, I love you so much." I hummed and kissed her forehead.

"So precious." I heard Aka say.

"She is." I said.

"I was talking about you, ya big dope." I chuckled and gently rocked my daughter. I stared down at the little bundle in my arms.

Her little face twitched and her tiny hands turned in to small fists. A small coo as she twitched. I hushed her softly and gently rocked her. She settled against my chest and went back to sleep. I sighed softly.

In my arms right now was the most precious life I'd ever get the chance to hold. I leaned in close and pressed soft kisses to her cheeks.

"Shhh... Daddy-ya's got you. I'll always protect you, my little Lami-ya." I hummed to her silently.

Time skip

I pushed open the door. It was another late night. This was probably my first time home in days. The winter season was hell with icy roads and inexperienced drivers. Surgeries back to back. Some lived. Others didn't.

"WAAAAAAAH! WAAAAAAAA-AAAAA-AAAAAAH!"

"Shhhh, shhhh, it's okay, baby. Mama's got you." I heard from upstairs. I frowned and set my bag down. I felt bad about leaving Aka to take care of the baby for days alone. I climbed the stairs to the nursery and looked in.

Aka stood there, trying to rock Lami back to sleep, but the baby wouldn't stop crying. Aka's hair was messy, but it was still up in a braid, which meant that she had not yet gone to bed. I looked at my watch. 3:00am. She's been up all day. I stepped inside the nursery.

"Here, I'll take care of her, you go to bed." I said. Aka's head snapped up.

"Law! It's okay, honey, I've got her. You must be exhausted from work, go on to bed." Aka said. I stood before my wife and cupped her cheek. I kissed her forehead.

"Love, please. I can tell by your eyes that you haven't slept in a long time. I'll take care of the baby tonight. You get your rest." I said. She gave me a worried look.

"You're not much better, Law. You need-" I stopped her.

"All I've done is tell people wether their family member is alive or dead in these past few days. You've been taking care of the little life we made together all on your own. I'll get her to sleep then join you in bed. Just go get some rest, my love." I said and kissed her. She sighed, knowing I was right.

"I love you." She said. I gently took Lami from her arms and kissed her again.

"I love you, too, my dear. Now rest." I said. Aka left the room and I cradled my daughter to my chest. Slowly, she began to calm down.

"There you go, baby girl. You just missed Daddy-ya, huh? I'm sorry, baby. I promise I won't be gone for so long again. Daddy-ya will always be here for you, baby girl." I said. I shifted her carefully to where she was on my shoulder. She squawked and cooed and made her little baby noises. I hummed to her and kissed her cheeks.

I carried her in to the bathroom and started up the tub, making sure it was at a safe temperature for the baby before I gently set her down. I wiggled out of my clothing and then removed hers. When the tub was full enough, I held my baby to my chest and sat down in the tub. I relaxed back and held my baby. I gently scooped water with my hand and carefully poured it over her back.

"Aah.. heheh." She cooed. I couldn't help but smile. She kicked her tiny feet and splashed a bit of the water. She giggled a little bit as I chuckled down at her. I picked up her baby soap and gently washed her, being careful to keep the soap out of her eyes as I rinsed it off.

After she was clean, I drained the tub and put her in a clean diaper and clean clothes. She whined at me a little bit and I made a bottle for her. I held her to my chest and fed her. I watched as her tired silver eyes began to slip shut. It seemed like she was trying to stay awake. I smiled and hummed the tune of a song I heard in a Disney movie. Slowly, she fell asleep and I placed her bottle in the fridge. I carefully carried her up to mine and Aka's room.

I smiled when I saw Aka was sound asleep. I lied down on my back with Lami on my chest, still sleeping soundly. I closed my eyes and let myself drift off in to sleep.

I was awoken in the morning by the click of a camera. I opened one eye and saw Aka standing by the desk, holding her camera as she smiled at me.

"Yes, dear?" I asked. She giggled and climbed back in to bed beside me.

"Seeing you sleep with the baby on your chest is the most precious sight in the world. I had to capture it." She said, lying down and resting her cheek on my shoulder, looking down at the sleeping baby girl.

"I love you. Both of you." I said.
