I opened the door to the house and walked inside. It was 5:30 in the morning. Aka was definately asleep.

It had been a year since that fateful night. Aka had a job at Pheonix Photography. She worked directly under Pheonix, Marco himself. I knew Marco- like Ace- was an executive of the Whitebeard company. He was the exceutive of the photography division.

I was now 28 and Aka was 26.

I peered in to our shared bedroom. Aka was curled up in a ball, halfway under the blankets, sound asleep. I knelt down by her and watched her sleep. Held tight to her chest was the teddy bear I got her for her birthday.

I smirked and kissed her head. I pulled the blankets up over her and stood up. I walked in to the bathroom and got myself a shower before returning to bed.

As I wrapped an arm around Aka's waist, I heard her chuckle.

"Hm?" I hummed. She rolled over and looked at me with her tired silver eyes.

"Remember when we'd meet in that café around this time every day six years ago?" She asked. I smiled and kissed her forehead.

"Yes, I do. Five in the morning was my favorite time of day because of it." I said. She smiled at me tiredly.

"What's you're favorite time of day now?" She asked. I pulled her closer to me.

"Whenever I get to see your beautiful face or hear your sweet voice. Every moment I spend with you is the best of my life." I said. Aka laughed.

"Hm?" I hummed at her.

"You're so cheesey." She said. I smirked seductively at her.

"But you are so turned on by it." I said and kissed her. Her arms wrapped around my neck and she pulled herself closer to me, deepening our kiss. I groaned softly as I felt my lower regions throb. She pulled away with a self-satisfied smirk.

"You're such a tease." I breathed. She giggled at me.

"You're just so easy to tease." She said and gave me a peck on the lips. I smirked.

"Only with you." I said. I threw my leg over her legs and climbed on top of her, kissing her roughly. She moaned against my lips as I ran my hands down her sides. She yelped in surprise when my hands met her bare legs

"Law! Your hands are cold!" She said. I smirked at her.

"Well, it's your fault for not wearing any pants." I said. She pouted at me.

"But they make me feel so restricted!" She said. I chuckled lowly at her and slid my hands back up to the hem of her shirt, sliding my fingers in slowly. She gasped and tightened her grip on my shoulders.

"How about I remove the rest of those restrictions, hm?" I hummed and kissed her.

Ding dong.

I growled in frustration. Aka giggled and kissed me softly, pushing me on to my back.

"You go to sleep. I'll take care of the door." She said. I grumbled.

"Can't we pretend we're not home and just get back to what we were doing?" I grumbled. She giggled at me and pulled the blankets up over my chest.

"Go to sleep, Law. You've had a long day. You need your rest." She said and pulled on a pair of black leggings and headed out of the room. I sighed and smiled softly. I love that woman.

I closed my eyes and started to drift in to sleep.

"CAPTAAAAAAAAIN!" I heard and was abruptly woken by two people leaping on top of me.

"What the hell?" I grumbled.

"Sorry, Law. I tried to stop them." Aka said as I opened my eyes. I was greeted by the faces of two of my old colleagues. Shachi and Penguin.

"What the hell are you two doing here?" I asked as I sat up. They grinned at me.

"We got transferred all the way out here!" Penguin said.

"When we found out we'd be working with you again, we had to come see you!" Shachi said. I blinked.

"I meant what the hell are you doing in my house at this hour? And how did you even find where I lived?" I asked.

"We're assigned to you! Your address was in the file we were given of you." Penguin said. I glared at them.

"What the fu-"

"Bark! Bark! Bark!"

"Inside voice." I heard Aka say.

"Brk." Followed. I looked over and saw Aka standing in the door way with a big white dog.

"... Why is there a dog in my house?" I asked.

"Oh, that's another thing. That's Bepo. We found him starving on the streets not long after you left. He's a good dog, Law. Honest!" Shachi said. I turned my glare back on him.

"Where are you going with this?" I asked.

"Well... Our apartments don't allow pets. But we couldn't just throw him out! Please, Captain? Please take care of him?" Penguin begged. I scowled.

"Oh, I don't see why not!" Aka responded before I could refuse.

"Aka-ya." I said. She looked at me and hugged the dog.

"Oh, come on, Law! I need someone to keep me company when you work your late nights! I'm always so alone and board when I wait for you to come home! Please? He really is a good dog! Right, Bepo?" She asked.

"Brk." Bepo quietly barked.

"He's really playful, he doesn't make messes, in fact we actually trained him to clean up messes! Show him, Bepo!" Shachi called. Bepo walked away from Aka and to my carrier bag that I set on the floor. He picked it up in his mouth and put the bag on my desk, then sat down.

"He's very obedient!" Penguin said.

"I think he's just a good dog. Isn't that right, Bepo? Who's a good dog? Who's a good dog?" Aka said. Bepo took the form of a playing matter and wagged his tail. I sighed.

"Is he house trained?" I asked.

"He is." Penguin replied.

"Fine, he can stay." I said.

"Yay!" Shachi and Penguin cheered.

"Bork!" Bepo cheered with them.

"Inside voice." Aka said.

"Brk!" Bepo said. Aka rubbed his head.

"Good boy." She praised.

Bepo trotted over to me and sat down. I stared at him, then he licked my cheek.

"Awww! He likes you!" Aka cooed. I reached out and petted the dog's head.

"I guess having him around wouldn't be too bad." I said. Bepo's tail began to wag.
