"I'm afraid I can't let you do that, Law."

Aka and I looked up and saw Doflamingo walking towards us with Trebol and a blonde man. I pulled Aka closer to me.

"Uncle." Aka said coldly.

"Aka, dear niece, you have a duty to uphold as a Donquixote." Doflamingo said.

"And what would that be?" Aka asked. Doflamingo grinned.

"Since you're father refused to follow tradition and go through with the marriage arranged for him, you have to be the one to merge Donquixote industries to Hyena Corps." Doflamingo said. I felt my blood run cold. Hyena Corps was a buisness cover for drug dealing. From what I heard, their only son, Bellamy, was a dick to all women and had beaten three wives to death already.

"Your groom is here with me to meet you." Doflamingo said. The blonde man stepped forward, a sick grin on his face. My grip on Aka tightened.

"I never agreed to this, Uncle!" Aka said.

"It doesn't matter if you agreed to it or not. The contract has been signed, your wedding is in a week." He said.

"And if I refuse?" Aka asked. We heard the cock of a gun. I turned my head and found myself staring down the barrel of a pistol being held by a man I recognized as Gladius.

"Then Law dies where he stands. Wouldn't want the man your father died to protect to die from your own selfishness, would you now, Aka?" Doflamingo asked.

"Wait, what does he mean by your father died to protect me?" I asked.

"Oh? You never told him?" He asked.

"Leave him out of this!" Aka snapped.

"Then you will marry Bellamy." Doflamingo said.

"I never signed a contract saying I would!" Aka yelled.

"But I did." Doflamingo said.

"Oh did you, now?" A voice said. A woman with short auburn hair stepped out of the shadows. Doflamingo scowled.

"Who the hell are you?" He asked. The woman held up a police badge. But not any police badge, a Revolutionary Police badge, the highest rank of police.

"Revolutionary Special Agent Caramella. And you, Donquixote Doflamingo, are under arrest for manslaughter, illegal drug dealing, and human trafficking." The woman said. Doflamingo scowled.

"Do you even know who I am?" Doflamingo snapped. The woman cocked an eyebrow.

"You are a creepy businessman that believes himself to be above the law. We have evidence linking you to the murder of Donquixote Rocinante, the human auction house in Sabody, and your DNA is all over the SMILE distributions." The woman said. Doflamingo scowled at the woman.

"And as for you, Bellamy, we have enough evidence prooving that your first three wives' deaths were no accident. You're under arrest for voluntary man slaughter." She said.

"Trebol and Gladius, you two have arrest warrants dating back three years. I'm taking all of you in." She said.

"And what is one little girl going to do to four full grown men?" Bellamy challenged. The Revolutionary woman cocked an eyebrow.

"You think I came alone?" She asked. She suddenly nodded to the shadows. Several people in the same uniforms stepped forward.

"Ginger?" Aka asked a girl with long auburn hair. The girl nodded to Aka.

"Don't think this stops the wedding between my niece and Bellamy." Doflamingo said.

"Actually, Doffy, it does. As of the law put in to action ten years ago, arranged marriage contracts must be signed by the parent or gaurdian of both parties. Neither Aka's mother or father's signatures were on the contract that went through the bureau three days ago, and neither was the signature of her legal gaurdian, Monkey D Garp. The contract is null and void." The woman said.

"Anything else you want to argue?" She asked. Doffy scowled at her.

"In that case, you have the right to remain silent, anything you say can and will be used against you in court. Book 'em." The woman said. The girl Aka recognized, a shorter girl, a Fishman, and a man I recognized as Luffy and Ace's brother, Sabo, put hand cuffs on the men and lead them to seperate cars. The woman turned to us and offered a kind smile.

"I know that you both want to just go home and sleep this off, but I need to bring you in for a witness report. If you would please follow me. And there's no need to worry about your cars, I'll have someone return you here for them when we're done." She said.

"Thank you, Agent Caramella." Aka said.

"Please, call me Dawn." She said. She drove us to the police station and we gave our side of the story before we returned to the parking lot and got in my car.

"Law... I know you want to ask me a question, so ask me." She said.

"Doflamingo said your father died protecting me. I thought Cora-san died while on a police assignment." I said. I heard her sigh.

"You weren't lied to." She said. I glanced at her, then back to the road as I drove.

"Law... You were born in a town called Flevance, right?" She asked.

"I was." I said.

"Law, due to Flevance's main export, white lead, the partials of white lead got in to the citizen's blood stream and began to kill them off with an illness that became... Genetic. Only people from Flevance could have this disease. And their children. You and your sister were the only ones to come out of Flevance alive. Your parents died from the disease. White Lead Disease." She said. I felt my fist clench.

"The same disease that took your sister's life." She said.

"My sister died from cancer." I said.

"That's what doctors told you. Because they didn't want anyone in the world to remember the tragedy of Flevance." She said. There was a brief moment of silence.

"My uncle found out about the disease and you and your sister. He wanted to take the disease and... Turn it in to a biological weapon. My father resisted him and.... And my family paied for it." She said. I glanced at her from the corner of my eyes. She was staring down at her lap. She sighed.

"The police assignment dad was on when he died.... Was you..." She said. I pulled over and looked at her. I waited for her to continue.

"It wasn't long after your sister died... Uncle Doffy found you and was going to kidnap you.... But Dad fought him. It was just long enough for you to get away safely... Then Uncle Doffy killed Dad. He made it look like it wasn't him and thanks to my father's will, I was put in the care of Monkey D Garp and that's how I knew Ace, Sabo, Luffy, Aoi and Ginger." She said.

"And you knew about this?" I asked. She shook her head.

"Not until I was eighteen. Uncle Doffy wanted to talk to me about something and when I got to the mansion, he was in a meeting. I got board waiting in his office and snooped around. He had kept record of what happened in his desk drawer. I was busted by Baby 5. She told me she wouldn't tell Uncle Doffy if I kept my mouth shut." She said. I drew in a deep breath.

"After that, I refused to talk to my uncle and stayed far away from his subordinates or anyone that could be his subordinates. When you first showed up in the café, I thought you were working with him. Then I brought home that picture and Aoi recognized you. I decided to pick up where my father left off and protect you where I could." She said. My shoulders fell.

"I didn't think I'd fall for you. But... Like father like daughter.... I fell for you hard..." She said. I looked at her.

"What did you mean by "like father like daughter" Aka-ya?" I asked.

"The more dad spent time with you, the more he loved you. He wanted to adopt you after he got uncle Doffy off of your tail." She said.

I leaned back in my seat and drove again, heading back to my hotel.

"Law?" Aka asked. I focused on the road.

"Law, please say something." She begged.

"You're stronger than any woman I have met... Lami would have loved you." I said.

"You... You really think so?" She asked. I nodded. I reached over and grabbed her hand with out looking at her.

"Thank you, Aka-ya. For caring about me this much." I said.

"You're.... Not mad?" She asked. I shook my head.

"Even with everything you've been through, losing your family, you still went out of your way for me. This is why I love you, Aka-ya. And I still mean it. Just say the word, and I'll follow you to the ends of the earth." I said. Her hand squeezed mine.

"Law..." She said softly.

"I want to spend my life with you."
