Chapter Five
Allen is shocked. I'm going to be an assassin? He thinks. the meeting went surprising well and his training will start next Monday. He runs around the halls where no one can see him. He squeals in excitement.
Margaret leaves the study and saunters to her bedroom. She opens the door to see Arron inspecting her dresser. He puts down a jewelry box and approaches her. "What are you doing in my room?" She asks. He smiles and replies, "I wanted to see what my future bedroom will look like, also I wanted to surprise you."
She rolls her eyes and pushes past him. "This isn't going to be our bedroom. When we get married, we will live in the east corridor. That is where the ruler's bedroom is." She says as she re organizes her dresser. Arron slides up behind her and grabs her waist. She turns to have their faces almost touching. "I know that." A smile spreads across his face. She blushes, but can't turn away.
He leans in and kisses her. She is shocked at first, but leans herself into it. He pulls her off the dresser and falls onto the bed. She leans her head up and says, "Should we really do this? I don't want to start rumors." He sighs and sits up. She rolls off of him. They sit on the edge. Margaret wraps her arms around his and leans her head on his shoulder. He leans his head on hers and they sit there for awhile.

Margaret wakes up tucked into her sheets. She sits up to stretch. She looks down to see that see is still in her traveling dress. She gets up and changes into a less tight, and more plain dress.
Before she can open her door, someone knocks on it. She opens it and sees John excitedly standing there. "What?" She groggily asks. He smiles and almost yells to her, "I got into the knight recruits. I just had to ask them and they said, 'What experience do you have?', and I told them all about how I was your best friend and they just let me in!" "Really? that quickly?" "I know, right?"
She laughs and asks him, "Have you seen Arron?" "Oh, yeah, I saw him riding in the garden."
She nods and walks out of her room and down the stairs. Stacey sees her from the bottom and yells up, "Hey! Sleepy head! We need you in here!" She gestures to the large doors behind her. Margaret walks down and joins them in a long, empty room with marble pillars and gold accents. It was the ballroom.
A woman runs up to her and asks, "What accents go well with your complexion?" A man also runs up and pulls down a rope to her body length.
"What is going on!?" Margaret yells. Stacey rushes up to her and quiets her. "We are planning the coronation ball." She says. Margaret slaps her away and says, "Already, but...but.." "You will be coronated in a month and married two months after that." Stacey tries to calm her down.
"What about the engagement announcement?" "We have taken care of that. A notice has been posted around the entire kingdom to every town." Margaret brushes her off and turns back. She rushes out and runs to the garden.
She hears a horse and turns around a corner to see Arron with his prized horse, Blackjack . She runs up to him and kisses his lips. He gently moves her off and asks, "What are you doing?" "I needed to clear my head." He smiles at the thought of him being helpful to her.
Arron sits on his horse and drags Margaret on with him. She laughs and says, "Arron Westwood, what are you thinking?" He doesn't reply, but snaps the reins and sends them off. Blackjack zips through the garden out into the city. They pass onlookers and people who wave to them.
The horse keeps running until they make it to a field past the buildings. The city's people follow them and gather around. Arron sits up straight and announces in a booming voice, "People of Chilgrave, Princess Margaret and I are pleased to announce that we are to be married in two months time." The people cheer and yell at them. He turns back and kisses Margaret passionately. They smile at each other before riding back to the castle.
