The omega came back to the pavilion after taking a long bath. He was wearing his off-white hanfu that he frequently tatters as a night dress. He put the towel away and walked to the headboard side of the bed. 

He sat on the farthest side of the bed, there was at least one metre distance between Alpha's body and his knees. He inclined his back against the headboard and slid down a little so that he could gaze over the sleeping body properly. 

He stared at the peaceful sleeping figure with content eyes. His Alpha deserves this peaceful sleep if you ask Jungkook, he deserves all happy springs, all cozy warm winters and each breeze of summer nights. 

Jungkook noticed his Alpha's hair was still tied down in the small pony. His smooth black hairs have turned into dirty browns due to the dried mud in them. 

His hands itched to unravel the mud from his Alpha's hair or at least pull out the rubber from the bun just so he could sleep more peacefully. 

His hand raised subconsciously and was about to smooth the lost strand over his eyes when he stopped himself. His eyes were gaping at that beautiful face without even blinking. He observed the little dust caught up in small stubble around his chin.

He stopped himself from touching the beautiful masterpiece of the moon goddess. He doesn't want to ruin it with his touch. Moreover, he shouldn't touch his Alpha like that.. without his consent. It's purely unethical.

His body slid down a little more and Jungkook laid his head on the corner of the other pillow. His eyes were still stuck on the sleeping figure, he contracted his feet over his chest and kept looking, shamelessly.

However, they were sleeping in the same bed but Jungkook had kept a respectful distance between their bodies. It was the first time when he was spending his night in the same bed as his mate. He couldn't be more grateful to the power of the moon goddess, he was witnessing the most serene view of his life. 

The Royal Alpha wasn't looking like a king anymore, the blankness of his face was absent. His intense eyes had fallen partially shut, furrowed eyebrows were turned into a sheet of calmness. Thin tight lips have curled into plush fullness against the pillow. He looked like a normal man who had come back to his home after a long, tiring night of work.

Jungkook covered his feet with the flares of his skirt and joined his hands under his warm cheeks. He didn't know for how long he had admired the eternal creature in front of him but when his eyes fell asleep he knew he had a smile on his lips.

When the chirping of birds became louder than the people working outside, Jungkook finally opened his eyes. He sat on the bed and looked towards the window.

His gaze was welcomed by the bright rays of the Sun, penetrating the walls of the pavilion and lightening up the whole chamber. He looked to the right side and found the Alpha still asleep in the same position. Not even a strand of his hair was displaced from its previous placement.

Jungkook hurriedly left the bed and looked outside, everyone was up. He felt embarrassment rising up from his spine before going down in the form of goosebumps. Before people start talking, he should leave the pavilion. Alpha could take rest for a day but it's not appropriate to stay together in one chamber when everyone is probably looking for their instructions. 

It wasn't a day of fieldwork as most of the work got finished yesterday, so he did not have to change his clothes. He took his half veil and tied it over his upper cheeks and let its trail fall across his neck and shoulders.

He looked at his Alpha one last time but when he realised that he was still laying on the bed like a log of wood in the forest, he walked out of the pavilion.

He smiled underneath his veil when people greeted him, he greeted back and found some soldiers shifted in their wolf form near the lake. He walked towards them and the ones who were still in their human form bowed to him.

"Your Empress, We are waiting to tell you about our departure." 

"Where are you heading?" Luna asked after receiving their greetings.

"Hunting. His Majesty has ordered us to store some food before the rainy season arrives. Because it seems like this year's rainy season will stay for a long time as compared to the previous year." One of them replied.

Jungkook nodded his head in acknowledgment and couldn't stop himself before proposing," Would you all like it if I accompany you in hunting?"

"We will be more than delighted, Your Empress. But we are going for more than two weeks and I don't think Eclipse will be able to function without you till then." All of them laughed when their Luna giggled at the soldier's remark.

"His Majesty wanted to go along with us but I haven't seen him since yesterday night." Another soldier commented.

Jungkool cleared his throat and tried to reply," Actually, Alpha is sleeping. So, I don't think we should wake him." 

It didn't go unnoticed by Jungkook, how the soldiers' eyes went wide at the mere information. However, they tried to look normal but still their bewildered gazes got caught by the Empress," We really shouldn't. It's rare that Alpha sleeps." 

"Right, I haven't even heard about it until now." The first soldier said.

"Very well then. I bid you farewell, try to be back without major injuries." Jungkopl wished them goodbye and the soldiers accepted that by paying their bows for the last time. Jungkook left them alone to see off their mates and walked behind the lake where a bunch of ladies and their mates were sitting around tree leaves.

"What are we doing here," He announced his presence and stopped them from raising themselves to bow to him," Please be seated." Yet he himself bowed when he noticed the Royal omega seated in between the people with a bunch of tree leaves in his lap.

Jimin smiled at him and patted the ground next to him on his right side because the left one was already occupied by his Yoongi hyung. 

As soon as Jungkook accepted the seat, His highness started talking," We are making disposable bowls and plates from leaves. We can dry them by using sunlight and store them for the rainy season."

Jungkook looked ahead of him and found a heap of leaves along with a stack of Acacia stems. A fluid of gum was oozing out of those stems. 

He took a bunch of green leaves in his lap and followed Jimin's fingers to create a plate and used the gum to stick the leaves over each other. All of them kept making utensils while talking to each other.

"Where is His Majesty, Luna? I haven't seen him since last night." An old lady of Eclipse asked.

"He is sleeping in the pavilion." As soon as Jungkook finished the sentence, his cheeks flushed because all the eyes around him turned toward him in a blink of an eye.

Even the Royal Highness was raising his eyebrows at him.

"Yeah. When I went back to the chamber, Alpha was already sleeping." Jungkook's eyes were serious as he continued his work as if those eyes weren't escalating his heart beats. 

"Oh our poor Luna, you must have passed a cold night yesterday." The old lady replied.

"But you know you could always discard his clothes, I am sure his body would provide as similar warmth as he gives when he held you in bed." Now it was Jungkook's turn to look at the old lady with wide socket eyes. 

His body turned pretty pink when everyone around him laughed and sputtered out in excited giggles. He looked to his left and found the Royal omega laughing too. He sighed a little when his expression matched with his Yoongi hyung.

Maybe it wasn't weird for Eclipsers to discuss the privacy of beds in front of others but back in Lunar it was looked upon with disgust when another wolf talked about these kinds of bizarre things.

Or maybe the old people have less strain on their tongues.

"Look who is talking about warm bodies when her own body is left with nothing but cranky bones. Martha! I have told you to not talk like that in front of young people," Another old lady quipped up from her side and slapped her arm.

"In the humble abode of my Royal Majesty, everyone has the freedom of speech. And God forbid my tongue…I haven't said anything offensive. Have I luna?" Old Martha turned to the luna and let out a wobbly smile when got a shake of head from the Empress in response.

The second old lady who was sitting beside her huffed in response," Still have some shame, old lady!"

"Whom are you called oldie? Me? Tsk ask my mate I still rock him as fast as a mare, it's not my fault that his own horse couldn't stand nowadays." 

Another wave of giggles spread around and Jungkook pulled his veil upwards, he missed his long one so that he could be able to hide his eyes as well. 

"Tell them, Martin! Am I wrong?" The old lady elbowed his mate who was sitting behind her and mewled in response.

"Yes dear, you are right." 

"Yeah yeah, still ordering him around! You are never going to learn, Martha. Who treats his mate as a stressful pillow?" The second old lady strikes back.

"How would you know about the pleasure of bickering and teasing? You are as submissive as these leaves in my lap!" Martha said and before a fight began between the ladies, the Royal highness raised his palm in the air.

"What can we hide from you, Martha? To tell you the truth, I don't even have a clue about pleasures. Kindly enlighten us more." Royal Omega let out a sheer seriousness spread around his features but eyes telling that he was teasing the old lady.

But everyone held their stomachs in laughter when Martha stood up from her seat and started twirling in the middle," Oh my highness! Pleasure starts from eye contact and ends with vibrations of heartbeats. Mating of two souls, Oh My moon goddess! It starts with a kiss and never ends because you always crave more."

His mate held her when she was about to fall after excessive twirling. All of them were laughing at her remarks except one. 

A red hair beta was just staring at his mate whose cheeks had turned pink from laughing too much.

There was a time when Yoongi couldn't even think properly that he had gotten his angel as his mate, as his omega. It took him a lot of time to be able to talk around his mate without stuttering and hesitation. 

It was Hoseok's faith that one day he would be able to feel free around their omega. And it was Jimin's assured expressions around him that made him believe that the omega trusts him and allows his embrace to get vulnerable in his arms. 

His smile was dazzling which occurred on his lips when Jimin inclined against him during the laugh, his hand automatically found his mate's waist to hold him securely. 

He couldn't stop and placed a soft kiss on Jimin's ear. The omega blushed and pulled away to incline on Jungkook this time.

The ladies kept bickering and the work kept going on," Do not need to worry. They are best friends just spicing each other's lives around us." Jimin whispered in Jungkook's ears, who was looking worried for the ladies' health. 

The Empress sighed and shook his head. But then he realized the thing he wanted to ask his hyungnim. But he doesn't think these surroundings are likely to ask the questions. Maybe if he asks quietly, no one will know. Everyone seems busy in their talks already. 

"Hyungnim?" Jungkook whispered.

Jimin looked at him and landed him an ear, sensing the shyness of the omega," Hyungnim, I wanted to ask about mating rings. Are they only worn by omegas or anyone could wear them?"

Anyone who promises their first mating to their mates, could wear them. I am wearing one too, But my mates don't. 

Jimin mind linked his response and smiled when he saw Jungkook's shocked expression.

That doesn't mean that they had someone in their lives before me, they don't wear it because their families don't believe in the tradition, some may have forgotten as well. The mating rings are just the symbols of loyalty, a tradition that was kept in motion from ancient times by many kingdoms. 

Eclipse is one of them. If I am not wrong, His Majesty wears one as well.

Jungkook turned his head sideways and busied himself in between leaves but his red upper cheeks gave his answer away.

Oh… Someone might have already seen it.

Jimin teased with a big knowing smile on his face when he flicked Jungkook's shoulder with his own. 

He wears it on his left leg.

Hmm. The one who carries the knot wears on the left and the one who takes the knot wears it on the right leg.

I-i… just.. wasn't sure. He had a mate before me so…

Yes, he had. But If that ring is still present on his first toe, then it only meant one thing. He hadn't mated any omega yet.

You will be his first. 

Jungkook turned his body fully away from the Royal omega and didn't lift his head until his racing heartbeat calmed down to a normal pace. He felt like a swarm of blush fell over his head that washed over his body for eternity.

He hadn't thought like that, never had assumed himself and his Alpha in an intimate situation. It makes his body weak and unbearably cordial. 

Heartbeats stuttered when he remembered the kiss over his cheeks. Large hands holding his waist, squeezing and pulling him closer. He inhaled deeply when the souvenir of sandalwood scent wafted across his lips again which he had sniffed right over the scent gland of his Alpha. 

It was too much.

His lips pressed together in concern, would he be able to survive the intimacy of his Alpha when he can't even hold his gaze properly.

He stood up from his position abruptly, letting the leaves scattered around him," I am going to take a walk in the fields. I will be back soon, Hyungnim." 

Jimin smiled and nodded his head, leaving the omega sticking around in his puzzling shy thoughts.

It was the evening of the third day when Jungkook started getting worried about the deep slumber of his Alpha. Taehyung has been sleeping in the same position for the past three days. He hadn't moved a muscle let alone his arms in these three days.

He invited the Royal omega to check up on his Alpha as soon as the first thought of uneasiness strikes his soul. 

Jimin was sitting in the middle of the bed, one hand placed on the inner wrist of the Royal Alpha while the other one was placed over Taehyung's forehead. 

Jimin observed the heartbeats, his eyes furrowed in concern as he looked at the omega who was standing at the end of the bed, looking miserable," His heartbeats are synchronised with his pulse, he is just sleeping." 

Jimin looked back at his sleeping brother and pulled back his hand from his forehead and put that on his back, rubbing it up and down. 

"There is no fever either." The Royal highness whispered and looked alarmed when he saw tears gathering in Jungkook's eyes.

He left the bed and hugged the younger omega," I know it is horrible to see your mate like that but Jungkook, at least he is fine. Hmm? Hey, look at me."

Jungkook blinked his eyes to hold his tears back because he swears on the purest thing in the world, it hurts him physically to see his Alpha like that. Laying on the bed like a lifeless body, if he hadn't checked himself, anyone could declare him dead.

"These are the side effects of his habits, Jungkookie. It's not your fault. He and his wolf have been playing with nature for a long time, suppressing their sleep unfailingly, eradicating so much energy without letting any source of fuel inside his body."

"I think the imbalance has finally happened and caused this trouble but he will wake up. You know he is a Royal right? It will be fine." 

Jungkook nodded his head and let his first tear roll down his eyes when the omega left the pavilion. 

He looked at his mate again and sat beside him. He touched his face again, it was normal. But Jungkook starts hating this normal face. He starts missing those glaring eyes and the unwavering gaze that always held him hypnotised in one place. 

He missed his Alpha's hurtful words, his talks and their small conversations. 

Jungkook couldn't stop himself from crying anymore. He felt alone in his Alpha's presence and that felt horribly wrong inside his heart. 

He was better when Alpha was away from him. At least he was imagining him being fine and performing his duties for their people. But this scene in front of him was too painful.

The Eclipsers were worried but they got assured by the Royal highness but still the talks were spreading everywhere. If the people at pack house get to know about this or the neighbouring packs, this place will turn into a crowded herd of wolves even before night.

"Please wake up, Alpha. Please." He rubbed Taehyung's dirty hands in his palms. But it wasn't because they were cold but in the readiness of getting a reaction from his Alpha, Jungkook kept repeating it.

When the fifth night fell over the southern land, In the midst of immense silence only sharp cries of Jungkook were heard. 

The silence was circulated all over the lake, the members of eclipse were seated in their individual tents, wet eyes full of concern and holding sympathy for their Luna. 

The Luna who was trying his best to revive their Alpha from his slumber.

"Please wake up, please, I am begging you." Jungkook didn't wipe his tears this time, he let them fall as his hands were busy shaking his Alpha's body. 

Jimin was standing outside the pavilion, his back pressed against Yoongi's chest. The beta was holding him in one place, he wanted to go inside and do something crazy but his mate was stopping him at any cost.

"I am feeling like the most foolish person on earth. I did want to get you a little rest but on what grounds? If your casual sleep takes so many days then please stay awake. I will not tell you to rest again," Jungkook begged again. He shook Taehyung's body and tried to turn him around on the bed.

With much difficulty he pulled at his shoulder and pushed it backward. The Royal Alpha's body rolled in one swift motion, resting on his back and face finally visible to Jungkook.

The omega immediately cupped his cheeks and started stroking them," Alpha? Alpha, open your eyes. Please. Do that for your people if not me. Everyone is worried about you, don't torture them like this. They don't deserve this." 

The trails of tears vacated Jungkook's cheeks and fell on the sheets. He kept shaking Taehyung's face," I have always wished to see this calmness on your face. My insides had craved for it but if I get to fulfil my wish like this then I will never wish for anything in future."

"Just come back to me, please Alpha."

He rubbed Taehyung's hands and cried into his warm palms, kissing his fingertips," My wolf can't feel the presence of yours. They hadn't met in their wolf forms but he always sensed your wolf's presence around him. Wake up, please." 

Jungkook's body frame was turning cold in fear. His hands started trembling yet he kept rubbing his Alpha's hands, his hopeless eyes staring at Taehyung's closed ones. 

The poor omega sobbed in agony, his wails reaching the guards outside, alerting Jimin and Yoongi as well. 

No one dared to step inside, none of them had the heart to see their Luna in such a broken state. His cries alone sent goosebumps over their spines.

Jungkook wiped his tears and sat on his knees, folding his calves underneath his thighs. The tears came again though but the omega kept staring at his mate," You wanted me to leave, right? I will leave." He nodded to himself and continued," I will leave but please. Please, do not punish me like this." 

"You wanted to reject me, I will accept your rejection, Alpha. I was latching onto you like a leech, it must have been tiresome for you, Hmm? I will rip off this burden from you." Jungkook broke down all over again. 

His lips were turning blue as he said," You will be free again. Just woke up and say one time that you want me to leave."

"Please once again say it to me. I will listen to you this time." Jungkook closed his eyes and prayed. He reached for his Alpha again and held his hands into his trembling ones. His body was shaking in sorrow, not once his tears stopped yet he kept looking at his Alpha from his puffy eyes. 

The pungent smell of rosemary was the first thing that reached Alpha's mind and his body recognized it immediately. His nose twitched, not liking the absence of sweet pine in it. 

He could feel the heaviness all over his body, his mind started functioning but he found it difficult to move his physique properly. 

He heard the cries of his mate, recognized them but he wasn't able to reply.

He remembered how just a moment ago he had entered the pavilion to grab some fresh clothes, he wanted to take a long dive in the lake. Recalling how those intoxicated swirls of sweet pine lured him to the bed. When once his head touched the pillow of the bed and buried his nose into the gushing scent, he was far into the slumber and his body blacked out completely.

He felt trembling hands around his face, around his hands and then the cries again, he couldn't comprehend anything though. 

He heaved a deep inhale, letting his back arc on the bed and shoulders dug into the sheets. He felt the hands leaving his hold, letting out what felt like a growl in response. 

He opened his eyes a little and find the shaking figure of the omega, although the lips of the omega were moving but the voice was muted. 

The Royal Alpha pressed his hands into the sheets and pushed himself up. That's when the voice of the omega entered into his brain with full force.

"No one has ever tormented me like you does! What wrong have I done to you huh? Why? Why? Why? Why hadn't you told me that you sleeps like a lifeless being?! Why I am so unaware of your habits, Alpha? Why?" Jungkook was still crying in sharp hiccups. The Alpha noticed his blue lips at first and then his swollen eyes. 

He gestured him to come closer and Jungkook threw himself in his arms. Doesn't caring when their bodies fall back on the bed, he laid in his Alpha's arms and wept with abrupt breathings.

Taehyung enclosed his small waist into his arms, pulling the shaking frame of the omega more closer. 

"If you can't accept me Alpha, p-please just throw me away. Don't ignore me like this. I felt so alone, so alone." Jungkook was babbling at this point but he needs to let out before his mind go crazy and an explosion happens inside him.

The Royal Alpha caressed his shivering back while releasing calm pheromones all around the pavilion. He was at fault as he will apologise for it. 

"I will never forgive you if you did something like this again. I was so scared. I couldn't b-breathe, something was diminishing…and I was not able to control it," Jungkook breathe out and choked on his tears.

Taehyung raised his hand and let it move towards the nape of the omega, the skin felt cold underneath his palms but he massaged his neck a little to loose the tension of his body. He brings his face closer to his neck and let the omega scent him again. 

But the omega couldn't this time, his body was shaking too much. He tried to rub his nose over the scent gland but in between his hiccups, it was impossible for him to inhale properly. 

The Royal Alpha rolled their bodies on the bed and buried his face into Jungkook's scent gland. The omega arched the neck to the backwards when he left the first lick of the tongue.

It started from the base of his throat and finished just underneath the hidden spot of his ear. The Alpha licked again and again, the tongue lapping at the unmarked skin thoroughly and evenly. 

Jungkook licked his dry lips and closed his eyes, gulping down his escaping hiccups. He doesn't know when his tears stopped, doesn't know when his body stopped trembling, doesn't know when his scent switched from sour to sweet but there was one thing he was sure of is that, the Alpha was still scenting him.

Jungkook's heart reverberated in loud beats, he exhaled shakily and opened his eyes, his fingers joined the dirty brown hair of the Alpha and starts caressing his scalp. 

"I want an explanation along with the first ray of the next sunlight. Or I will not approach you ever again."  Jungkook whispered, body too tired to speak loudly. 

Isn't it what the Royal Alpha wanted from the start? To keep the omega away from him? Then why he didn't like the sentence coming out of the omega's mouth, why he wants to prohibit the use of these sentences? And why he whispered the next thing into Jungkook's ear?

"Apologies are all mine." 

Jungkook's puffy eyes swelled in tears again as he hugged his mate and send a message to the Royal highness before interlacing himself completely into his Alpha.

Jimin's knees buckled to the ground in relief when he received the message *Alpha is awake* but his mate caught him into his arms before his body could land on the ground.

"Alpha is awake," He told to the soldiers," Spread the news all around the pack."
