The tongue that was gliding over his wound felt like caressing the veins of his heart. It felt like someone was unfolding the pain of his heart and sucking it out of his soul. With each drift of that tongue, Jungkook finds himself melting a little more.

It wasn't because of his close proximity with his Alpha or it wasn't because of the addicting scent of his mate but it was because of the concern that his Alpha showed towards his wound. For Jungkook that only implied one meaning and that is...his Alpha cares.

He matters to someone. Finally.

Jungkook exhales deeply just to inhale back the astonishingly sweet sandalwood scent. His nose travelled to a little left before hovering over the exposed tilt of his Alpha's neck. His heart was thundering at this point and he knew his Alpha could feel it too.

Once that scent reaches his core, his all senses start flooding with dizziness again.

However, the tip of his nose didn't touch his Alpha's neck, too afraid to approach his Alpha this intimately. But he let that scent clouded his mind upto the brim, didn't want to lose this chance. He doesn't know when he turned into a greedy pup?

He closed his eyes momentarily and lost himself in the strong arms of the Royal Alpha.

When the tongue stopped doing its work, Jungkook found himself pulling away slightly. His wolf let out a whimper of disappointment but for Jungkook's relief, it was only for his ears.

He opened his eyes slowly, very slowly. He doesn't know why he was feeling suddenly this nervous to look into his Alpha's eyes. But Jungkook can't help his submissive instincts.

He looked up, his breath falling over the Alpha's chin. Those grey orbs were starting right back at him, Jungkook ducked his head down again in shyness, suddenly feeling bare without his veil.

"You have a sprained ankle." The Royal Alpha stated.

The voice was monotone, devoid of any emotions but that voice vibrated in Jungkook's bones, he could feel. But how did his Alpha know about his ankle injury? How foolish he is, maybe that's why his Alpha is still hoisting him in his arms.

He parted his lips to reply with eyes still cast down. But nothing came out, just like always his tongue was tied. He looked up in misery, trying to convey his answer with his eyes.

Yoongi had always said to him that he is like an open book, everyone can see through his emotions if they try with the least amount of attention. His eyes conveyed the answer and his heart skipped several beats when in response his Alpha raised him a little more into his chest, holding softly.

"We are going back." The Royal Alpha announced before taking steps back towards the shore of the river. Climbing from one stone to another, the Alpha reached towards the coast easily.

Jungkook dipped his neck over Taehyung's, his hands clutching a big portion of his Alpha's wide shoulders when the Royal Alpha started surging over the cliff.

Once again, Jungkook was left speechless. His Alpha was climbing the cliff like he doesn't have any weight in his arms, like he was holding a piece of feather instead of a human body, like he was walking over a smooth road instead of uneven rough rocks.

Both of them reached the pack grounds and suddenly a tinge of awareness fell over Jungkook. He looked around him in perception but to his relief, no one was there, but that doesn't mean no one could see them sooner or later.

He looked up to his Alpha in attention who was walking towards the main packhouse with sheer his usual calm features. He bit his lips in nervousness but decided to voice out his thoughts.

"Alpha," Only a whisper came out but Jungkook was proud of himself.

The Royal Alpha turned his head and Jungkook could melt in those orbs all over again but he bit his tongue and shook his thoughts.

"Alpha, My veil. That cloak mask flows away with the stream." Jungkook said softly. Remembering very well that he needs his veil, he can't roam around with his bare neck like this.

Taehyung stopped in his tracks and looked around. His tight, prominent jaw fascinates Jungkook like he was looking at something metaphysical.

His thoughts were disturbed by the rich voice again.

"My waistcloth, use it as a veil."

The Royal Alpha started walking again and Jungkook looked over his Alpha's shoulder to see that purple silk cloth wrapped around his Alpha's waist like another skin. Their bodies are wet, so are their clothes.

He gulped and dug his fingers around the silk cloth before tucking it out around Alpha's waist. He hugged the alpha properly and drained the excess water from the waistcloth. He jerked the cloth in the air before draping it up to his face and waist. His curves are more distinguished with his wet clothes and he didn't want to be uncomfortable around the others.

The silk cloth was long enough to hide Jungkook. But to be sure, Jungkook stuffed his face into his Alpha's neck and for a moment he felt his Alpha's collarbones went stiff.

He sighed shakily when his nostrils filled with many unfamiliar scents, they were close to the packhouse. His wolf felt distressed, wanting to feel only one scent. And soon his nose touched his Alpha's neck from under the veil.

Jungkook closed his eyes and rested his head over his Alpha's shoulder, avoiding all kinds of commotion around him.

As soon as the Royal King stepped inside the main packhouse's grounds, the crowd of pack members hovered around him. Some of them bowing while some of them are so worried directly asking about their Luna.

"His Majesty?"

"His Majesty? Is Luna alright?"

"Have you got any injury, his Majesty?"

"Should we call the pack healers?"

"Should I bring my magic potion?" A teenager's voice was heard.

"Their clothes are wet, someone get big towels, please!"

"Your Empress?"

"It's time for my onion soup, I will bring that!"

"And my curry leaves!"

"That little pup is now good, his Majesty"

"Our Empress saved him!"

"Is Luna unconscious?"

"His Mawjsthy! Kiss and bring Lwuna back!" This time a kid?

"We should inform the Royal Prince."

Their voices were coming out so worried that Jungkook smiled unconsciously at their kindness. He couldn't see anything as the silk cloth was draped over him but he could sense their worried faces and by instinct, all he wanted was to calm them down.

Taehyung halted when they reached the entrance patio of the main house. He turned around only to find his pack members who were following behind them closely.

"Your Luna is alright. Rest assured." The King announced and the people of the eclipse pack breathed a sigh of relief.

"I am here for a short time to complete some work assigned by the elders. I will be going right after completing it." The Royal Alpha said and this picked up Jungkook's attention too.

"I hope you didn't face any inconvenience but from now on, please bring some Royal guards with you while shifting the pups and use barn net fields so that frightened pups couldn't escape like today." The King requested and nodded in acknowledgement when eclipsers bowed towards him.

"I promise everything is fine. There is no need to worry." The Royal Alpha stated lastly and turned to step inside the main packhouse. He walked upto the stairs before clambering over them with slow steps.

They were in the Royal hallway but Jungkook decided he didn't want to come out from his hidden spot, so he kept sniffing the marvellous scent slowly through his nose.

The Royal Alpha took a turn and that's how they met with the Royal omega who was strolling in the hallway thoughtlessly.

Jimin had finally decided to step out of his room and take a walk around the hallway, he was oblivious to what was going in the pack today. His mind, heart, nothing was working properly so he decided to stay inside.

He furrowed deeply when he sensed his brother's presence around him, turning around with wide swollen eyes there he found his brother in front of him. A gasp left his mouth when he saw he was lifting a body in his arms and the dark red tresses wrapped around Taehyung's biceps made him know who he is.

"Taehyungie?"

"Jungkookie?"

Jimin approached the other with wide eyes," His Majesty here? What happened to Jungkookie? Oh God, you both are dripping. Let's take him to his room first," he turned around instantly when he realised his brother could notice his swollen eyes easily and the purpose of hiding his truth would go in vain.

It didn't take one minute for Jimin to realise what was happening around him, he opened his mind link and questions per questions, talks per talks bombarded his mind. As they reached Jungkook's room, Jimin was well aware of all things.

He walked ahead of the couple, opening the Royal Luna's room swiftly for them.

"Here," He sprawled out a big towel over the bed and gestured to his brother to rest Jungkook there. The Royal Alpha compiled and made the omega in his arms lay on the bed.

Jungkook made himself comfortable against the headboard while his legs were hidden under his wet long skirt. As soon as Jungkook pulled away from the heat of his Alpha's chest, a strong cold breeze swiped around his damp hairs, giving his nose a tingling sensation.

"Luna? Are you okay?" Jimin asked the poor bundle of wet clothes, which was immersed in a lengthy purple silk cloth. Jimin couldn't make out his features apart from his red hairs which are long enough to stick around the pillow.

Jimin looked at his brother who was looking at the omega on the bed with intense eyes.

A nose peeked out first followed by some wobbling lips before a wild sneeze left Jungkook's mouth. Jungkook tried to hold back but two more sneezes left his mouth embarrassingly.

"I am sorry its just--"

Sneeze

"I hav--"

Sneeze

"Okay, calm down. At this rate, you will catch a cold. I am going and I'll be back with soupy herbs. You are going to be fine." Jimin said and unfold the thick blanket before draping it all over Jungkook's shivering body. While the Royal Alpha took a step back, letting Jimin do whatever he needed to do.

"Any injuries, you might be feeling right now?" Jimin asked, his voice was as concerned as a mother.

Jungkook was ready to shake his head but a deep voice interrupted his actions," His left ankle got sprained."

Jimin looked at his brother with wide eyes who was looking as blank as always, he blinked his eyes and looked back at Jungkook again," uh...that's not good. Can you show us, Luna?"

Jimin and Taehyung both are standing around the bed but on opposite sides. Jungkook looked at his Alpha who was already looking at his covered leg. Jimin cleared his throat and said again," we have to examine your leg to see what medicine will work."

Jungkook nodded his head but as naive as he was, he brought both of his legs out of the blanket, showing his feet all bare. Although Jungkook was busy wiping his nose, he was sure he heard a gasp?

He looked up to see what happened but got confused when he saw both the brothers turning sideways, showing their back to Jungkook.

Not to mention his Alpha was bareback. He shook his head frantically and looked at Jimin who had a hand over his mouth.
"Hyungnim wh-"

Hide your right leg under the blanket, right now. Jimin's voice resonated in his mind and as a reflex, he slid his right leg back into the blanket.

Jimin turned around first staring at Jungkook with wide stern eyes and mouthed. What was that? Why did you do that?

What, hyungnim? I don't understand, have I done something wrong?

Now the stern expression in Jimin's eyes turned into disbelief. He opened his mouth to say something but then realisation fell on Jimin's features. It wasn't Jungkook's fault, it was his mother's.

Jimin turned off his mind link and cleared his throat nervously," Our Luna is naive in this, Your Majesty. Seems like mothers are not doing their work properly these days."

Jungkook left all oblivious, speechless and nervous.

Jimin looked down at Jungkook's feet which had become soft pink in a mild swell. "You have twisted your ankle very badly, Luna. Don't worry, His Majesty knows how to heal it until then I will bring your soup." Jimin announced and assured Jungkook with his eyes that he will be fine.

But Jungkook was more than nervous right now and Jimin leaving him alone with his Alpha, almost had him hiding back into his blanket.

Jimin brought a chair and placed it right in front of the bed.

"I'll be back quickly, Your Majesty." He informed, before going towards the door of the room. Although Jimin couldn't see his brother's eyes, he smiled when he made out a little redness around the Royal Alpha's cheeks. The King wouldn't admit it even if Jimin raised hell but he knew the best.

He had known his brother best in the world.

He shook his head and made a mental note in his mind to come back after washing his face properly because his brother can recite him like an open book too.

The werewolf couple was left alone in the room. Jungkook was too nervous and embarrassed to even look up and he also doesn't know the reason behind it. But his instincts were saying to hide himself somewhere where he can avoid the predator gazes of his Alpha.

The Royal Alpha turned around and it wasn't Jungkook's fault when his eyes lingered over Alpha's calm features whose eyes were cast down towards his left leg only.

Taehyung took a seat on the chair, legs wide with a stiff jaw as he looked at the omega who ducked his head down like he wasn't staring at all.

Jungkook shut his eyes when he felt the first mere touch on his leg before it got lifted and placed in the rough palm of his Alpha.

The Royal Alpha studied the swelling properly, stroking his thumb along with his heel he pressed a certain point and Jungkook hissed inaudibly. He doesn't want to voice out his pain, Although when he opened his eyes and looked up, the grey orbs were already at him.

Taehyung pressed another point and this time a pained gasp followed by Jungkook's throat. He was more than aware of the strokes that were inching, closing towards the most swollen part.

Suddenly, the pointing pressure was gone as The Royal Alpha started to examine the sole of his leg.

Jungkool bit his lips and chose to be quiet. Meanwhile, his mind was battling another battle, why hyungnim was suddenly mad at me? Have I done something wrong? Why did Royal Alpha suddenly turn around as soon as my right leg came forward? Should I apologise?

What do you want to apologise about? If I may ask, do you even know the reason for the offence you caused? His wolf's voice was heard in his mind.

However, for the first time, Jungkook wanted to roll his eyes at his wolf, but he couldn't do such mannerism in front of his Alpha.

Where were you? Where were you when I was battling with my heart under the waterfall all alone?

Just like you, I was distracted, Jungkook. Our mate has the same impact on both of us.

Jungkook sighed quietly. Should I ask Alpha?

I think...to the... NO?

Why?

Jungkook literally heard A sigh from his wolf before his wolf agreed. Jungkook brought the blanket around him more closely in nervousness, almost peeking a little bit of his face and mustered up all his strength. His Alpha looks too immersed in his work, maybe he started reading the anatomy of his ankle muscles.

"Alpha," His voice doesn't come out above than a whisper.

The Royal Alpha didn't look up, only averted his eyes towards Jungkook and a shudder went down Jungkook's spine. He looked down immediately.

But he swore on his lifelong training sessions he will not stutter at any cost.

"Have I done something offensive?" He didn't stutter but his voice was very low for human ears but he knew his Alpha will be able to hear him.

He waited for a response but nothing came out. Surely, unsurely Jungkook glanced at the Royal Alpha but found him immersed over his swollen ankle again.

"I am not aware of any offensive proposition I caused just a while ago but I apologise for my actions." There he said it but Jungkook was sure he was close to tears when he didn't get any assured words in response from his Alpha.

Although he got a response that was nowhere near what Jungkook expected.

"You haven't learnt swimming in a river flow, back in Lunar." It wasn't a question but a statement. It could be a degradation too that pointed out Jungkook's lackness.

But it surely spiked up all his attention towards the Alpha's words.

With an increased heartbeat, Jungkook realised maybe his Alpha was generally asking. So he decided to reply.

"You are right, Alpha. Lunar pack doesn't have rivers but has four lakes. I have learnt swimming only in static water as I was not allowed to go outside of my pack." There was a tinge of sadness in his voice but he covered it with his low polite voice.

"A flow of a river decides how deep its waterfall could get. More the speed of the water, more its depth of the waterfall." The Royal Alpha stated, his hands were rotating Jungkook's ankle right now. However, Jungkook wasn't feeling any pain, how could he feel anything when all his attention was on his Alpha's mouth which was speaking out wise words.

"The rivers in Eclipse have wild streams," The Alpha creaked the ankle towards the left and looked towards Jungkook, analysing something but Jungkook was very attentively listening to him," thus their downpours caused deep waterfalls." Another rotation and this time a cracked heard in his ankle but Jungkook was paying no attention to it.

Jungkook felt like he had concurred over something very important, he nodded in realisation. So he asked without hesitation.

"May I learn it now? Here in eclipse." His voice was low and very polite.

With the last tug on the ankle, the Royal Alpha placed his leg back on the silk bed sheets. He stood in his position, all tall and intimidating, having no shame over his exposed features like he was brought up more of a wolf than human, maybe he was.

"You may."

Jungkook bowed in gratefulness and dignity when the Alpha turned and went out of the door.

Alpha wasn't mad at me when he pointed out my mistake, right? Jungkook asked his wolf.

Pabo, he was distracting you from the pain.

Jungkook gasped with wide eyes and looked at his leg. He lifted it and rotated it in clockwise and anticlockwise motions, his wolf was right there was no pain in his ankle anymore.

A sudden crimson shyness spread over his cheeks, he looked down and blushed heavily. His Alpha distracted him so he wouldn't feel any pain. Jungkoom smiled brightly and hid under his blanket, he let out a squeal that was only hearable by his wolf. Or so he thought.

Today was a happy day for Jungkook. He just prayed that little pup wouldn't get any trauma from this.

Moments later, Jimin arrived in his room with two small bowls of soup. He smiled when he found Jungkook sneezing his lungs out. He has already changed his wet clothes which was a good thing.

"Drink it all up. Finish it and I promise you will not sneeze anymore." The Royal omega said and Jungkook compiled. Why wouldn't he? Jimin was the best healer in the world.

Jungkook gulped down the hot soup and sighed in content when the tingling in his nose died down.

Jimin still tucked him in his blanket. Right now he was sitting on the bed while his blanket was cocooned him from all sides.

"Hyungnim? Can you please explain to me now? What has happened before, I swear I don't understand anything?" Jungkook asked his awaiting and concerning question without hesitation.

Jimin sighed and sat on the bed, beside Jungkook. Jimin was looking fresh from before, features now glowing despite his eyes were still sad, Jungkook can see.

"Jungkook-ah I am sorry I become mad at you but I realised it wasn't your fault but your mother's to not aware you of all things." Jimin started.

He cupped Jungkook's chin and smiled," But don't worry, I am way older and wiser than your mother, so let's assume I am one of your guardian parents. And I will let you know about it without any uncertainty."

Jungkook nodded in his head in recognition. He knew his mother never explained anything to him, always kept him as the oblivious one. Even if he asked about many things, all the times his mother silenced him.

Jimin gulped and licked his lips before thinking appropriate words," You don't have to freak out, you see we are not offended by anything, right?"

Jungkook nodded.

"Okay, so I will ask you some questions and you have to give me all the answers honestly." Jimin smiled when he saw Jungkook nodded like a puppy in attention.

"Take out your right leg from the blanket." Jimin instructs and Jungkook does exactly that.

"What knowledge do you have of this ring?" Jimin asked.

Jungkook looked at the dark blue ring in his first toe, a colour that reflects his eye colour, a ring he was wearing from his childhood. But he doesn't know much about it, it was a ring his mother gave him in his childhood and ordered him to wear it.

"My mother gave me this ring after I successfully shifted for the first time."

Jimin nodded like he already knew this information," Did she say something after that?"

"No. Nothing. She just ordered me to never lose it no matter what happens. She said if I lose it she will confine me in the dungeon for my whole life." Jungkook replied timidly.

"Haven't you developed any curiosity regarding it? Anything you might hear from others?"

Jungkook shook his head and said slowly," in my childhood days, I thought my mother gave me this as a gift and threatened me not to lose it because of its high quality price. And after that I just forgot about it, I started carrying it as a habit."

"And I asked many things from my mother back in Lunar which raised my curiosity but she always said an omega's tongue shouldn't be longer than his fangs."

Jimin controlled the anger he was feeling towards the lunatic lady. He cleared his throat and said," No worries, I am here now. I will tell you everything in detail, you just have to promise me that you will listen carefully and will not freak out in the middle."

"I agree, I promise hyungnim."

Jimin smiled and lifted his own right leg before placing it just beside Jungkook's. Jungkook saw how Jimin was wearing special socks which were covering his toes up to his ankle.

Jimin didn't hesitate before discarding his creamy socks and showing his bare fingers to the younger omega.

He was wearing a pale blue ring on the same finger as Jungkook's. This spiked up Jungkook's interest in the above level.

"This is not a normal ring, Luna. This ring is called the Mating ring." Jimin informed and smiled when he saw amazement on Jungkook's face.

"A mating ring was given to all omegas when they shifted successfully for the first time. As after shifting, our bond with our wolf starts increasing as well as the hormones of a werewolf start developing too. Omegas have the most sensitive pheromones."

"This ring was placed on the first toe of the right leg whose veins were connected to the hormonal tissues directly. This ring always helps us to keep our hormones controlled so that we can wait for our mate without developing feelings for other wolves."

Jungkook didn't know this ring had that much importance in his life until now. He eyes his dark blue mating ring again.

"But I have my mate now, does that mean I can remove it now?"

"I'm not finished yet." Jimin objected and Jungkook sealed his lips.

"You are courted by your Alpha but not mated yet. This ring was only removable during the mating of two mates." Jimin paused when he saw the younger's red face but decided to continue," When the omega endures his Alpha's knot for the first time, the base of your finger will start swelling and this ring will be pushed out itself."

Jimin halted in his words when he found Jungkook deep buried in his blanket. He can't even make out the direction of his face.

"Jungkookie, I'm not finished yet either." Jimin smiled at the embarrassed omega and decided to continue nonetheless.

"This ring is as sacred as our body parts, Jungkookie. Flaunting it or showing it, is considered as shameful as bathing in all open." Jimin finishes but Jungkook isn't coming out of his shell so he decides to comfort the omega.

"It's okay, you weren't aware, Luna. I had told His Majesty right there, that it was your mother's fault, not yours. He didn't say anything in my absence, did he?" Jimin asked and smiled when he got to know a big bump shaking his head under the blanket.

"Now you know right, so always protect your ring as you protect yourself." Jimin said and wore his socks back.

Jungkook came out of his blanket but it was hard to make out his features because his face has turned the same colour as his hairs.

Jimin laughed at him. "Stop thinking about it now, bygones are bygones. You learned something new today, wasn't it interesting?" Jimin said and laughed some more at the flustered omega.

Jungkook was embarrassed to the point he couldn't muster any words but he giggled when he saw Jimin smiling to the fullest. At least, his hyungnim was laughing.

I told you so. You will embarrass us, sooner or later.

Huh? As if you know about it.

But I am a wolf. Jungkook can imagine a cheeky grin on his wolf's face.
