Flashback 1.0

"How are you feeling, Crown Prince?" Yoongi asked Jungkook who was resting on his bed. Prince Jimin just went out of the chamber after making sure that Jungkook has no injuries from falling. Although he had his doubts about the sudden disappearance of Jungkook's injuries as this was not possible to not have any injuries after falling from that much height, Jimin had some idea about it. He might have known who healed Jungkook.

"I'm feeling fine, hyung. Have you heard any news about His Majesty?" Jungkook asked, laying on his bed.

"His Majesty just jumped out of the window in front of your eyes and you start missing your mate already?" Yoongi teased, with a beautiful happy smile on his face.

Jungkook averted his eyes, staring at the edges of that window. Today, he watched a new behaviour of his Alpha where his Alpha protected him, stood for him and punished his mother. The tree of hope was now blooming in branches inside of him.

"It's….. It's not like that." Jungkook replied. But the way his eyes went down in shyness and lips stretched in a small smile, Yoongi understood it.

"I wonder… What was it then." Yoongi wasn't having enough of his teasing.

"Hyung...please." Jungkook raised his eyes and pleaded.

"No, but seriously Crown Prince, I had heard that His Majesty never forgives the sinners but today…  Today I watched their cruelty with my eyes. You won't believe it, but my wolf didn't even raise his head when His Majesty was talking." Yoongi finished.

And Jungkook didn't know what this was. This giddy feeling? The way his chest hypothetically expanded in proudness and cheeks became redder.

After contemplating for some time Jungkook finally replied, "Sorry hyung, your wolf must have been anxious all along." 

"He was anxious until…" Yoongi stopped in the middle and turned his head toward the open window.

Jungkook looked at the said beta in confusion because if he was not wrong he just saw some redness over Yoongi's features.

"Until?"

"Umm. Until… Please don't take it another way." Yoongi seemed hesitant but Jungkook nodded nonetheless.

"My wolf went calm when he sniffed the Royal Prince's peaceful cologne. It was faint but Suga sniffed it when the Royal Prince saved us from His Majesty's wrath. That cologne seemed like lavender, like a little flower that still hasn't bloomed to the fullest."

Jungkook smiled at the blushing male," what can I say? Lavender is indeed the most calming odour." The teasing edges of the sentence made Yoongi look at him in a playful warning.

"I suggest you should take a rest, Crown Prince." Yoongi scoffed lightly and Jungkook just sighed in content.  

"Yeah. I thought so too." 

A smirk widened on Yoongi's face when he saw Jungkook closing his eyes in tiredness. 

"Then you should do it until you can. I don't think the Royal Majesty will let you rest after the courting ceremony." Yoongi laughed when a flying cushion landed on his face.

Jungkook went deeper in his duvet while hiding himself from the utter embarrassment. He peeked a little outside and sighed when Yoongi was already out of his chamber. 

His heart was beating abnormally, just the thought of his Alpha, left him restless.

Flashback ends. 

Jungkook remembered everything clearly. The way Yoongi recognized the Royal Prince's real scent. But why had he said the scent was faint? When mates can smell each other from miles away. 

Are they mates or not?

Because Yoongi is not a Royal then the only possibility that is left behind is them being fated mates.

But he can't understand why Jimin is refusing everything so persistently. Jungkook groaned as he flipped his sword in the air like he wanted to cut the wind into two separate pieces. His attacks hold strength, the way his wrist moves while attacking was utterly fascinating.

Shoulders wide open as he practices with his sword, eyes focussed on the tip of his sword which was shining in the sunlight.

Jungkook was behind the warehouse, practising his skills in sword fighting. He was wearing his simple white soldier trouser with toe length cream hanfu covering his front. His veil was replaced with a medium white cloak mask. But the edges of his red tresses which were peeking out of his cloak, made everyone know about his identity really well.

Yesterday night, Jungkook explained everything to Jimin but still, the Royal Omega was denying any kind of bond with Mr Min. It made him a little doubtful and uncertain, he could be wrong too.

Many things happened the previous day. That was Jungkook's first night in Eclipse where his Alpha was away from the pack. And he managed it thoughtfully.

But as soon as he woke up from his sleep, the urge to see his mate overflowed from his entire being. He couldn't concentrate on anything so to make himself well focussed, here he was, practising like crazy.

Jungkook felt peaceful to relive his hobby of practising again.

He has done stretching, laps, balancing, archery and is now close to finishing his sword practice.

The sweat was flowing from his temple before flowing down and emerging into the cloak mask. His neck and armpits were soaked. Jungkook turned swiftly while turning his sword in the air, his long red hairs flowed with his body until they wrapped around his waist.

After a few moments, he discarded his sword into a scabbard and placed it beside his arrows and bow. He was about to remove his cloak mask when he heard noises behind him.

In reflex, he turned around but found no one but the voice was now more evident. He looked around, the voice was coming from the front of the warehouse. 

He clutched the dagger that was tied around his waist and walked toward the path that took him toward the warehouse. 

He halted in his steps when his wolf felt the scent with full force. His grip over the dagger slipped away.

This can't be…

He clenched his hands over the skirt of his hanfu and ran towards that direction without wasting any moment.

His heart was on the verge to burst when he stopped behind the wall of the warehouse. He was huffing very badly, he won't know how fast he ran, but right now he needs to catch his breath.

He inhaled the scent that was flowing in the air like a pleasant cold wind in the sunlight. The barrier between that scent and him was only the wall of the warehouse's corner.

Jungkook pressed his palm against his chest and inhaled deeply with closed eyes. His nerves start dying down and a peaceful warmth settled inside his heart. A blissful shy smile appeared on his lips because Jungkook knew from whom this scent belonged.

Jungkook didn't know how this could happen and why but when he peeked out from the corner, his soul felt shivers.

There, his Alpha, was practising with his sword. 

Maybe Jungkook was hallucinating but if this was the case then how could he feel that husky sandalwood scent in the depths of his bones. Why the bareback figure in front of his eyes felt so surreal. Why was his mind going dizzy?

Taehyung's exposed back was facing Jungkook, his one hand was holding a fresh claimed sword while the other hand was stretched in the air. The musky hairs under the armpits were creating lines of sweat around his waist. 

His legs held a strong posture, inclining on his one leg, his wrist was playing with the sword so mesmerically. The muscles on his back were contracting and expanding with each tug at the sword. Jungkook traced his eyes over the line of sweat that emerged from the nape hairs of his Alpha and discarded into soft edges of the older's white cotton trousers.

Purple silk cloth was tied around the Royal Alpha's waist that was waving along with each distracting move.

Jungkook blinked his eyes severally when his mind started getting foggy. He focussed his eyes on the stretched arm of his Alpha, no that was a mistake, he averted his eyes to the sword. 

Jungkook felt fascinating how the sword wasn't making any sound but performing each strike with accuracy and speed. Like the sword was talking to the air, luring it in his trap before tearing it apart into the pieces.

Jungkook placed his hands on the wall softly before tilting his head to watch his Alpha longingly.

Every move held power, each blow, each strike was making Jungkook's heart thunder in authority.

His lips parted slightly in fear when the Royal Alpha stopped his movements suddenly. He strikes the sword in the sand, making it stand upside down. Jungkook gulped heavily when the Royal Alpha moved his head frantically to let the sweat drops fall out from his hairs.

He watched with heavy heartbeats as how his Alpha's hands went behind his back and untucked the silk cloth out of his trousers making the edges of his back more visible. He lifts the cloth just to wipe his sweaty neck and ribs.

Jungkook instantly supported his Alpha's decision of practising alone, this is not something for everyone's eyes, he concluded.

Jungkook's eyes caught something else too that made his heart soared and swelled to the point he feared it would come out of his chest. The blue threaded bracelet around his Alpha's wrist was flickering under the sun, Jungkook's eyes cast down and fell on the red threaded bracelet around his own wrist.

A crimson blush scattered over his features, a smile was getting prominent over his lips. 

Do you know one thing?

Jungkook flinched in his position but sighed shakily when he realised it was just his wolf's voice.

You scared me Kookie.

Jungkook mind linked back before eyeing his Alpha again consciously who was wiping his sword right now. 

Do you know one thing? Kookie asked again.

His wolf sounds hesitating, making Jungkook a lot more nervous. 

W-what?

The way you smelled our Alpha. His Majesty can smell us too. 

He can clearly see how you must be drooling behind the corner of the wall.

Jungkook didn't change his facial features for a while. However, after a few moments, his face parted in horror before he lifted his hanfu to bolt out of the warehouse. Jungkook ran like he was running for his life. His face was turning into red coloured strawberries. 

How could you! Couldn't you remind me before?

Ain't my fault. I got distracted.

What will Alpha think of us? Oh God no! Jungkook groaned and dropped on his knees, hiding his face in his hands, not realising that his face was already covered by the cloak mask.

I am thanking the moon goddess that she made me a wolf, feeling this kind of embarrassment must be difficult to survive, right?

Kookie!! Don't forget we are one.

Yeah, but at least I didn't have to show my face after the scandal you like to perform.

I have my veil too.

Oh? Right… but you know…

What is allotted by fate cannot be blotted?

Meant?

Meant until when are you gonna hide under that veil? Now or then, you will do something embarrassing again, I can feel it in my half wagging tail. Jungkook can even hear his wolf's smirk.

Oh, will you please stop talking? 

Jungkook rubbed his fingers over his eyes but stopped when he felt a little weight in his lap. Removing his hands from his face he saw a very little adorable pup rubbing his fluffy head over his stomach.

He gasped lightly before scratching the little pooch under his ear. The little pup flipped over the ground and purred in delight. Jungkook smiled, his previous embarrassing moment vanished when he saw an omega lady standing some fields away from them, holding another child in her lap.

Jungkook hoisted up the little pup and walked towards her, fixing his mask over his face. 

The omega sensed another presence and twirled around. She bowed down when she realised the omega in front of them is their Royal Luna.

"Please stand up," the pup again purred when he heard the soothing sound above his ear, their Luna's voice was indeed softest.

"Are you okay? May I ask if you need any help?" Jungkook asked politely.

The omega seemed a little older than Jungkook," I am grateful, Your Empress. Today is my little one's birthday, he turned 5, it's the day of his first shift too. The one in your arms is my first son, he is six years old, still learning to adapt to the change." 

"He is surely doing well," Jungkook caressed the pup in his arms.

"I hope so, my mate helped me in his shift. He was on his way now and then we will start shifting this one." She said and kissed the messy hairs of her son closely who was holding onto her mother tightly.

Jungkook's eyes warmed up at the duo.  He smiled warmly and said,'' May he shift fearlessly." He gave his blessing.

"Thank you, Luna." 

Suddenly the pup starts thrashing in his mother's hold. He was trying to get out of the hold using his hands and legs, frantically. His mother tried to make him steady but he slipped from her hold and land on the ground.

And Just in front of Jungkook's eyes, the small pup got shifting instantly. He heard his mother's shocked cries. 

Watching the small puffed furs and paws instead of his small hands and fingers, the pup freaked out. The poor pup let out some quiet squeaky screams before he made a run towards the forest with closed eyes.

Jungkook immediately pushed the older pup into his mother's hold and ran behind the smaller one. 

The pup was running with his closed eyes, his wolf was anxious, not knowing what just happened to him. He was running fastly like an arrow just escaped from a bow. 

His mother followed the Royal Empress," Luna!!! Don't go in the deep forest! Son stop!!"

The pup crossed a little cliff but stumbled and rolled to the other side. "Jun!!!" Jungkook heard his mother's cries but he didn't stop, he followed the pup and rolled himself over the cliff.

The omega couldn't get down the cliff as she was holding her other son. She was mind linking his mate to come as quickly as possible, her cheeks were stained with tears.

Jungkook landed on the ground with a thump. He looked around and sniffed the air.

Which direction?

Left and then straight. Fast.

As soon as Jungkook heard his wolf's words. He trotted toward the left, after running for long. He heard wailings and whimpers but in front of Jungkook was nothing but water.

He saw some brown furs and a tail over the opposite side of the water. Without ruining a moment, Jungkook jumped into the water. But the stream of water was flowing to the right very rapidly, gliding the little pup along with the flow. 

Jungkook swam faster to get a hold of the pup but an unbalanced wave came and threw him a little ahead, making the side of his head hit against a rock. Jungkook furrowed his eyebrows in pain but his eyes were still focused on the floating pup.

"Jun!! Luna!!" Jungkook heard voices in the back and a scent of beta came along with it. Maybe the pup's father. But he didn't have the time to look back.

"Waterfall!! There is a waterfall ahead, Luna stop!!" 

Jungkook swam with big strikes like a fish, just one more glide and his arms captured the pup securely. He came up the water to breathe, his hold around the pup got tighter. 

"You are safe, you are safe. Nothing is happening. Just close your eyes." Jungkook said and released his calm omega pheromones to made the pup steady. 

Their bodies were still gliding forward, the waterfall was coming near. And jumping into a waterfall along with a pup is not safe, Jungkook knew that. He looked back and saw the beta was running along the bank of the stream. 

Jungkook holds the pup upside down, measuring his weight with his one hand, his breath was becoming ragged, he calculated the distance between the father and son. He didn't forget that their bodies were floating with the motion of the river too.

"Will you be able to catch him?" The Empress shouted from the middle of the river.

With wide eyes, the Beta soldier nodded his head. "But Luna-"

"In 3!!"

"3..2..1!!!" Jungkook threw the sleeping pup in the air, too widely that it landed into his father's arms perfectly.

Jungkook sighed in relief, the water was making it hard for him to stay focussed. His leg strikes on a rock and with a crack, Jungkook felt pain in his ankle.

He couldn't do anything now, the fall was near. Maybe he will swim back after falling. Or so he thought. He realised the waterfall is a lot more deeper than he thought and the edges contain the shore of stones.

His mask was stuck over his nose and chin, making it hard to breathe. But before he could remove it, another wave came and pushed his body to the edge of the fall.

"LUNA!!!' Jungkook heard the voices of the pack members again.

And the next moment, Jungkook felt freely falling with the flow of water. He closed his eyes tightly cause the water was coming right into his eyes. 

His body sparked with sensations when he felt arms under his back. He felt his body stopped falling too. He opened his eyes with so much difficultly and raised his head. 

His irises blazed blue when got met with his Alpha who was holding him against his chest. The water was falling straight in their foreheads as they were standing beneath the waterfall.

Jungkook blinked rapidly so he could focus properly but the water was continuously falling on their heads.

Taehyung was standing calmly, his eyes were focused over the blue one, like the water wasn't even affecting him.

The flow of the water was strong and it made the Royal Alpha to hold Jungkook closely against his chest. The water was falling over Jungkook's face, letting the cloak mask slid down his skin.

Jungkook's face became bare under his Alpha's gaze, his lips parted to inhale the air that was becoming hard due to the harsh flow. 

Taehyung turned around, now the water was falling on his back and Jungkook got under the hidden edge of the waterfall where the flow was less.

The Royal Alpha was standing on the rock that was placed under the waterfall. His hair was drenched, but his eyes were focused on Jungkook.

Jungkook makes his breaths steady and calmed his racing pressure of blood. He gulped the water droplets that got collected around his lips before looking up at his Alpha.

His Alpha was holding him in a bridal position, he realised. He averted his gaze when he saw his cloak mask was not over his face to hide his crimson features. But the overwhelming scent of his mate and the sparkings around his body made him look up again.

His lips parted, eyes holding vulnerable innocence," Alpha." Jungkook whispered.

Taehyung's eyes travelled down from Jungkook's eyes and situated over his lips. He observed how the omega's upper lip was quivering to say something.

Jungkook had many questions to ask. His Alpha's sudden arrival, the sudden shift of that pup but he didn't know how to form the right words against his Alpha.

Jungkook saw how his hands were clutching around the neck of his Alpha. The rough tanned skin that was drenched in sweat before was now getting washed under the water. 

Jungkook noticed the little piercing the Royal Alpha had over his earlobe, although it was empty, doesn't have any pearl or gem in it but Jungkook envied the jewellery with all his heart.

How lucky that jewellery must be always situated around his Alpha's scent gland. Jungkook didn't know how he mustered up the strength but his cold finger unconsciously touched Taehyung's right earlobe.

Jungkook moved closer to observe the piercing properly, now enchanting with the angle his Alpha pierced it with. In all of that Jungkook forgot that his ears are pierced too. But for Jungkook, his Alpha's every single thing is captivating for him.

Taehyung's eyes were observing everything. 

Jungkook's fingers were all around the Royal Alpha's ear when their eyes met again. Jungkook's body shook when he felt Alpha's warm breath over his cold lips.

He turned his face slowly, swallowing thickly. Their eyes, Jungkook tilted his head to stare at them properly. His hand travelled from ear to his Alpha's jaw, touching it with his pointing finger, just to make sure that this moment is real. Not any hallucination.

But then why? Why couldn't he see any emotion in the Royal Alpha's eyes? 

"Alpha." The word left Jungkook's mouth like worship. His eyes were asking questions but his tongue could only utter one word.

Jungkook watched how his Alpha's eyes averted and situated over the side of his head. With furrowed eyebrows, Jungkook touched the edge of his head. Blood. His fingers were covered with blood after inquiry.

Water was still flowing with its strong flow, Jungkook forgot his injury and made a cover with his hands over his Alpha's head, trying to stop the flow of water.

And just then, he felt himself moving. Taehyung was taking a step ahead and soon Jungkook's body touched the hidden edge of the cliff on which the waterfall was falling from above but wasn't touching their bodies.

Jungkook's heart crumbled when he felt a warm breath over his head. His hands went around the Royal Alpha's neck and held him tightly in his embrace. 

Jungkook sighed with an open mouth when he felt a tongue over his injury, lapping slowly around the wound. He closed his eyes and felt himself melting in his Alpha's hold.

Can he stay like this forever? He can suffer from severe injuries if the healing would be this blissful.
