So in middle and elementary school we mostly didn't learn much, but they did teach us about Gustav Freytag. If you don't remember who this is, it's okay, I didn't either until I looked it up. The wonderful mister Freytag was the creator of this old thing;

Honestly, this is a great method to plot your book. Once you've nailed down the basics to your story line, all you have to do is fill this in and it is literally done. BoOm BoOk PlOtEd!

You don't have to use this, obviously, but it has helped so many successful authors to write their books. Keep that in mind...
