The Solution.
"I've bought them as requested, sir." The stuffed animal mutters nervously, drops of sweat somehow rolling down it's face as Mr. Dracule nods his head solemnly.
"Thank you, Kumashi. You may leave." And with that, the toy is shuffling away and hastily exiting the study. "You'll have to excuse that thing, one of Perona's ghosts seem to have possessed a children's toy."
CHILDREN'S TOY?! HAVE YOU SEEN THE SIZE OF THAT THING?!
"Why is it so crept out by you?" Thatch questions calmly, your Myths and Legends teacher rising from his seat and taking a large book from his desk, slowly making his way toward you both.
"It's scared of everything apparently." The raven murmurs as he hands the large book to you, making sure to leave it open on the correct page before he points his pale finger towards a certain paragraph. "Now, the spell you used is complicated as you'll see here."
Poor Thatch is staring up at you both curiously by this point, clearly unable to reach the height of the book to read it's contents also and honestly, that's probably a good thing since there's no massively good news and you'd much rather not be yelled at now that his voice is back.
The roaring was bad enough, thanks.
"It implies that Thatch needs to embrace his biggest wish, the potion has stopped his life for the moment so he cannot go to school and teach classes, he cannot go out and socialize, he cannot continue living as normal and that's because the spell believes he uses these things to distract him from what he really wants." Mr. Dracule explains calmly, Thatch tilting his head to the side in confusion as his brown orbs stare up at the raven. "So, in conclusion, he needs to chase whatever his dream is and he'll turn back into a man...with possibly some side effects."
Side effects?
"What if I don't know what I want?" Thatch asks, drawing in Mr. Dracule's attention and causing the mysterious male to smirk as he takes the book back before trailing over to his desk.
"Most people know full-well what they desire but they simply don't believe it's possible," The golden-eyed man murmurs as he slips a bookmark onto the page before closing the book completely. "I suspect your case is no different."
Suddenly you're extremely grateful that you hadn't taken the potion now, since your wishes are impossible. Honestly, a love affair with your Cookery teacher?
Yeah, you'd be so lucky.
"Charmed to see that you've gotten your voice back by the way," Your teacher adds, the pale man grabbing a box full of supplies as his orbs dart back to the both of you. "That potion was a real pain to make."
Yep, definitely a good thing I fed it to him then!
"Now, I'll be leaving for the week on an expedition. You're welcome to stay here until Thatch turns back into a human but do not bring trouble to my home." The raven calmly voices, carrying his small supply box to the door of his study. "Perona is the loud one whom you've already become acquainted with, she'll assist you if it's needed."
Oh yeah, the girl with the killer ghosts. Great.
"Kyo is my hija, she likes to be left alone and spends most of her time in her room so she'll be easy to find if, for whatever reason, you cannot catch Perona."
Your what now?
"And Kumashi will also be present if he's needed but don't ask him for help with anything magical, he hasn't a clue what he's doing."
Greeeat...
"I recommend you work out what you'd like most in the world, Thatch, and go after it." Mr. Dracule adds lastly before he continues on, strutting out of the room and down the mansion's corridors.
Your furry friend grumbling as he sits himself on the floor, staring down in annoyance at his two front paws. "I can't achieve anything like this, let alone a wish!" Your eyes darken at the male's claim, your hand resting on his back supportively as you kneel down beside him, a heavy feeling weighing in your gut as guilt sinks in.
"We can try!" You state with a slightly forced smile, despite the pain in you chest. You only wanted him to be happy but it seems as though you've only made him miserable. "I promise, I'll do my best to help you! It's the least I can do!"
A deflated sigh passes Thatch's lips as he drags his paws down his furry face, a groan escaping his throat. "If you wanna help, you can start by stopping yourself from feeling so guilty! I pick up on that stuff like this and it brings me down!"
He can...pick up on feelings? Does that mean he knows I like him?!
