Naked
Chapter 15
Paragraph 21, line 2
The blue light shined brighter than usual. It felt like all the streetlights were converging and falling together at Jeon, complimenting the blue light passed by the moon. His features highlighted under the beautiful night sky, whose blue and pink were mixing to form a darker shade.
Though they were still not over their fight or the crying moment she had shared with him, they were on better terms now. And just so, he had asked Seol to join him for a movie night. She hesitated, but she agreed.
They were supposed to meet at the bridge, and she hadn't reached yet. Six thirty, they had decided and it was fifteen minutes past it. As for what he knew, she was punctual, not that he was suspicious that she won't arrive but he was.
Staring at the deep river below the bridge, he kept on shifting his weight from one hip to the other.
Thinking of all the good things he could, just trying to provide himself with some optimism.
His mind was clouded with her. When she danced in rain, when she 'indirectly' complimented his body. When she pointed him out during that one lecture. When she just looked at him, turning several knots in his stomach, giving him that giddy feeling.
He liked it, how she was so simple yet so charming for him. Her voice, calm and soothing, he wanted to hear his name again and again from her mouth, same word but the emotions he felt were not natural.
Everytime he complimented her she would say "Oh" then look away and after that she'd thank him. A red tint always making it's way to her cheeks.
He found that cute.
She cried while watching emotional movies and laughed like crazy when watching some classic comedy. She was a great fan of Shakespeare, she'd usually quote him while taking about love. She watched horror movies with a poker face but he knew internally she died.
She wouldn't sleep in dark, she needed a small ray of light in the room or else she'll keep on wondering if its just a coat hanging on a chair or is it some kind of shadow of a ghost.
And how they had fought over ghosts-in-the-21st-century, the moment was hysterical yet they both were stubborn.
His eyes wandered off to the water, it reminded him of her eyes, pure and delicate.
Seol, he mused, meant snow. She was beautiful, just like a crystal and dependable just like humans depend on water for living.
He admired her.
He noticed a middle aged man passing flyers to the people passing by. The old man's hand reached out to hand one to him, too. He mumbled a small 'thank-you' before grabbing the paper and readin g it, since he had nothing else to do.
Who makes you smile?
Seol.
His mind was flooded with memories of Seol clumsily falling.
Who do you think can make you feel home?
Seol.
She was warm and comforting. She was patient while listening to him but impatient when she was angry.
Who makes you regret the most?
Seol.
He remembered the fight they had. How he had noticed hatred in her eyes when she asked him to leave. How he made her cry. How he ended up making her feel uncomfortable.
Who makes you feel your worth?
Seol.
She never once demotivated him. Whatever step he took, if he was right she encouraged him and if he was wrong she'd honestly tell him and make him understand.
Who do you think you love?
Seol.
"Jeon!" He heard that familiar voice, the voice he wanted to call his name. His head moved swiftly to look at her running towards him with a bright smile on her face. When she reached him, she jumped to hug him tightly, his body jerked backwards as he caught her in his hands, his face still shocked from what he had just discovered.
It was a night perfect for a date, but, unfortunately, it wasn't one. But that was not the problem. What he felt, was. His heart beat was rapid, all the footsteps around him sounded like the thunder that follows rain. His view squinted into void and his pupils dilated to focus at the only person in his arms. His legs came to a halt after taking a few steps back.
"Noona." He smiled, though that did not reach his eyes, hugging her back. Petting her hair slowly, he inhaled the scent of her shampoo.
Everything shot back to normal as she parted away from him, lessening the proximity between them.
"Let's go?" She smiled brightly at him, pulling him forward as she stepped ahead.
He walked behind her, being pulled by her, sloppily with heavy steps. His legs almost gave in as the information or the emotion, he just felt, hammered on his soft heart.
"Noona?" She turned around to face him. His eyes were glued to the ground, eyebrows drawn together. He lifted his head up and there she noticed small dots of tear on the brink of his eyes.
One of them falling down to travel his beautiful face.
"Why- what- Jeon? Why are you-"
"I love you."

"Tell me just once! What did you do to my father? Like do you know some kind of- ARE YOU A SORCEROR?!" He pulled his phone away from his ear, almost threw it, due to the shrillness of her voice.
"Of course not, noona! I just had some talk with him, and then we were good." He smiled, his eyes closing to praise himself for the accomplishment he made.
Surely enough Inaya was busy, but she wasn't happy with the fact that Jungkook hadn't told her anything about the time he shared with her father. And cherry on top, her father called him son. Conjectures kept aside, she was happy that they both were fine together, but then bringing her suspicions back how was that even possible?
She ended up in the publishers office, frustrated because Jungkook was hiding the reason from her, and began to complete her final writings before posting the short story.
"Jeon Jungkook, for the last time. You're sure you didn't hit my father on his head or maybe he tripped while walking?" He laughed vigorously at her continuous attempts, wishing for her small weird attempts to go on for hours.
"Noona, are you crazy? Why will I hit him? And if he tripped, wouldn't he be having a doctor on visit?" She nodded incautiously, reasoning on her own if his words would be true enough or not. When she couldn't find a reply to what he said she hung up the call, pulling her hair, causing an employee to stare at her with concern.
The week following her birthday was filled with thrills. Jungkook had made sure to give her something everyday, as an admiration gift he had said. It started with chocolates, then it was an expensive quill, which she for sure loved. Next day he gifted her with a stuffed teddy, her another source of happiness, she had always loved stuffed toys.
Then came a home barbeque, which he managed to put himself, with a classic look and some classic music. Next day he presented her with a book collection of her favourite writer and then yesterday he gave her an antique watch, that seemed to be really ancient and she got a royal feeling from it, he said that it was his grandmother's.
After hours of working, her first instinct was to sip on coffee while listening to some music. As she entered back in her cabin and plopped herself on the office chair, balancing the cup of coffee in her hand, it creaked soundly, agitating her nerves but then she noticed a huge bouquet placed on her table.
"Who?" She pushed her back away from the hard material of the chair, kicking herself near the table.
Roses.
For m'lady.
Happy two years♡
Her eyes widened as she read the small card placed in the middle of those hundred roses. Her reaction was a little off, because she was too shocked and instantly she switched on her phone to look at the date.
On, finally, noticing the date she cursed herself for not remembering the day. Quickly she pushed her toes in her shoes, she grabbed her purse from the table. On her way to get up and rush out, but before she could, a small peck was placed on her cheek and she remembered her body crashing into a harder one.
