Several hours later...

Jason: "Time to take the night off."

Jade: "Alright."

Jade drops her stuff with a loud crash.

Jason: "(startled) Jeez that was loud!"

Jade begins to set up camp.

Jade: "Sorry, but my back was killing me!"

Jason: "I'll handle food."

As Jade wraps up putting out bear hides, Jason finishes cooking.

Jason: "I need feedback from this. I always try to improve."

Jason had cooked some bass he fished up just before he helped Jade.

Jade: "(takes a bite) This is great!"

Jason: "Any way you think I can improve that?"

Jade: "I may not be a great judge, but a friend of mine is an amazing cook. If we find him, you two can taste test."

Jason: "Okay."

After the two eat, they lie down on the bear hides.

Jade: "(yawning) Night."

Jason: "(yawning) Night."

Several hours pass while they are asleep.

Jason: "(whispering) I need to take a piss."

Jason gets up and walks to a deeper part of the forest.

Jason: "(relieved) That feels better."

Jason hears noises from camp.

Jason: "Animals?"

Jade: "(in the distance) Here too?!"

Jason: "(puzzled) Here too?"

Jason rushes back to camp to find several black, emotionless creatures surrounding it.

Jason: "What the fuck?!"

Jade smashes one away with her hammer.

Jason: "Jade?! What are these things?!"

Jade: "They're called Impurities. Souls unable to continue on. All you need to do is kill them."

Jason grabs his claws.

Jason: "Why do you know these things? Previous encounters?"

Jade: "Yep."

Jason rips one into two by stabbing the claws through the chest and slicing outward.

Jade: "Nice!"

Jason skewers two of them.

Jason: "Thanks for a warning. It was super helpful."

Jade: "I wasn't expecting them so soon."

Jade smashes another one through a tree.

Jade: "Let's keep this up and go back to sleep."

Jason stabs another one.

Jason: "Efficient plan."

Jason and Jade smash and stab the Impurities like there is no tomorrow.

Jade: "(relieved) There we go."

Jason: "How have I not seen those things before?"

Jade: "I have no fucking clue."

Jason: "I'm going back to sleep."

The two awake next morning.

Jade: "(stretching) That felt nice."

Jason: "You should get ready after breakfast. If we walk the rest of today we'll end up at Somar."

Jade: "(mouth full) Why is Somar in ruins?"

Jason: "Somar was a small trade town that got in the way of the Maknanian Empire."

Jade: "Ouch. (in head) I have a feeling empires tend to do that."

Twenty minutes later...

Jason: "Let's go."

Jade: "We're all set."

The two set off for Somar.
