Outside...

Jay: "(in head) If I we run anywhere, Drake knows where. I need Jake to remove it in whip form to siphon it out of my bloodstream."

Jake sends three soldiers flying in a fiery ball in a single punch.

Jake: "(in head) I need to keep going!"

Jason blocks a few swords with his claws before slitting a few throats with his knife.

Jason: "(excited) This is way too much fun!"

Jade absorbs several sword swings then releases her built up energy that sends a few dozen piling up on each other.

Jade: "(pissed) Just wait until you meet your emperor in hell!"

Jade strikes her broadsword through a pile of a dozen men while snapping their bones to pieces.

Alicia: "(determined) You won't get my blood!"

Alicia pulls out two daggers and gracefully dodges attacks while slicing legs off.

Troy: "See ya!"

Troy slices heads off with his swords, then switches to chakrams that slice even more people in half.

Jay: "(sighing) Hit me with a real challenge Drake."

Jay sends an explosive bullet in the middle of a squad of soldiers that have half of their bodies blown off as screams of agony echo across the forest.

Jade: "Now this is Jay Kros!"

Jason: "(excited) I've never felt so alive!"

Jake: "(in head) Jason must really be having fun."

The six continue to battle, not letting a single soldier past them until they're exhausted.

Jay: "(sweating) They just don't stop!"

A soldier ambushes Jay from behind.

Jay: "(in head) I can't dodge!"

The soldier makes a deep gash in Jay's back.

Jay: "(smirking) Thanks."

Jake: "You're fucking bleeding! Why are you smirking?!"

Jay collapses onto his knee.

Jay: "Can't that whip do something?"

In Makna Palace...

Drake: "I cannot allow this!"

Drake pushes a button...

Jay: "(in pain) Urk!"

Jay begins gasping for air after he uses telekinesis to kill the soldier.

Jade: "(pissed) Looks like Drake is finishing Jay off! Jake!"

Jake switches to whip form and gets some of the whip into the gash.

Jake: "Cover me while I handle Jay !"

Jason uses his bow and lands a head shot at a soldier.

Jason: "Hurry up!"

The whip begins to turn purple...

Jay: "(weakly) T-Thanks..."

Jake: "(focusing) No sweat. Once we're done here, Drake will be nothing more than a head under our names."

Jade and Alicia are back to back.

Jade: "Good to see you not puking at a drop of blood."

Alicia: "(determined) I'm over it, and now is not the time to be puking and waiting for them to kill me!"

Jade: "Well said."

Jade swings her morning star and uses the impaled victims to slam into others.

Alicia: "You messed with the wrong people Drake!"

Alicia pulls out a rapier a stabs a man through the throat.

Troy: "This shouldn't be much longer!"

Troy pulls out twin pistols and puts a few caps in their heads.

Jay: "(in pain) How much longer?"

The whip returns to it's original color.

Jake: "(in pain) Your good."

Jake heals the gash as Jay notices Jake's left arm is now purple.

Jay: "You okay?!"

The color fades.

Jake: "(standing up) This arm was built to handle this shit!"

They continue to fight until the literal last man is standing.

Jay: "(collapsing) Just one..."

Everyone except Jason falls.

Jason: "You're not-"

Jason stabs the last man as he feels a strange needle in his back.

???: "This sample of your blood belongs to me Velour."

Jason turns around to see a man with black wings holding a cylinder filled with his blood.

Jason: "Huh?"

Jake begins to stand upon these words.

Jake: "(grunting) Lucifer..."

Lucifer: "All that remains is the blood in Vaile and Koress."

Lucifer takes blood from an unconscious Troy and Alicia.

Lucifer: "(injecting blood) If you six wish to have a chance to face Drake, meet him in his throne room if you can make it."

Lucifer begins to walk toward Makna.

Lucifer: "It was also quite boring sitting in the palace awaiting my blood, so I decided to come here for some amusement."

Lucifer dashes toward Makna as Jason collapses.

Jason: "(weakly) Piece of... shit..."

Next morning...

Jason: "(shocked) W-Wha?"

Jake is handling everyone's injuries.

Jake: "After this, we're heading for Makna, everyone else has prepared."

Jason: "Your dad is a piece of shit."

Jake: "That's why we need to beat Drake and head for the fifth piece of Reith."

Jason: "I just want to ask, can I go with you guys?"

Jake: "(shocked) H-Huh?"

Jason: "The fights we were getting into made me feel alive, plus you need any and all willing help right?"

Jake: "(smirking) It's fine with me."

Jason: "We're going to be split up at the start, but I'll be able to handle myself."

Jake finishes healing.

Jake: "Let's meet up out front."
