Jay: "So this is Nylsio..."

Jay had arrived at Nylsio's graveyard, just like Phiam.

Jay: "Looks like this war took a lot from everywhere."

Jay clenches his chest.

Jay: "I feel the lost far clearer."

Jay let's go.

Jay: "I need to find Jake and Jade so I can beat Drake."

In the Maknanian palace.

Drake: "It's a plan you can't beat Kros."

Lucifer: "I'll be sure to say thanks to Cryo for you."

Back with Jay...

Jay: "I'll book a room at the inn."

Jay stumbles through Nylsio until he comes up to the inn.

Jay: "How much is left?"

Jay finds 10 gold in his pockets.

Jay: "(sighing) Guess I need to earn some."

2 thugs surround Jay.

Thug 1: "Care to gamble your life away?"

Thug 2: "Winner takes all."

Jay: "(sighing) Why are you asking a fourteen year old kid to gamble?"

Thug 2: "To pick on the weak."

Jay thinks for a moment.

Jay: "Just don't blame me when you lose."

The thugs take Jay to a bar table in the next room with four more thugs in the wings.

Thug 3: "Looks like they brought some fresh meat."

Thug 2: "This kid thinks he's confident about victory."

Jay: "(sighing) Just note that you people have no idea of my capabilities."

Thug 4: "I hope you boys don't mind if I deal."

The thugs drag Jay to a poker table.

Jay: "(in head) These guys have no idea..."

One of the thugs deals the cards, landing Jay two kings, and three queens with everyone putting it all in with a total of 180 gold on the line with Jay's coat as well.

Jay: "(in head) A full house, and I got the kings and queens."

Jay keeps a calm look on his face.

Thug 5: "(in head) I've got four of a kind with the eight's. That kid has no chance!"

Thug 2: "My hand may be shit, but my buddies have this in the bag. I fold."

The thug leaves the chair out of sheer confidence in his allies.

Thug 1: "(in head) I've got a flush of hearts, piece of cake."

Thug 6: "I fold. Win guys."

The second thug leaves, leaving behind a useless hand as well.

Thug 3: "(in head) I-I have a flush as well, but..."

Jay keeps a calm look as the two make eye contact.

Thug 3: "(in head, sweating) That stare makes my think twice!"

The thug raises the pot to 195 gold.

Thug 3: "(in head) That'll scare him!"

Jay keeps the look.

Thug 3: "(in head) I CAN'T TAKE THIS!!!"

The thug crumbles under the pressure and folds.

Jay: "(calmly) Then there were two."

Thug 5: "That face won't get to me kid."

Thug 2: "(in head) He had a flush..."

Jay and the thug make eye contact.

Thug 2: "(in head) It's a fifty-fifty shot. He's either bluffing, or he's got the good shit..."

Jay: "(annoyed) If you want to fold then fold, otherwise get the fuck out of here like your friends."

Thug 2: "(shakily) I-I..."

The fourth thug slams his cards to the table.

Thug 2: "I FOLD!!!"

The thug joins the others at a bar stand.

Thug 2: "This isn't that kid's first tangle with poker."

Thug 3: "T-That poker face is perfect."

Back to the game...

Thug 5: "My boys may have fallen to that stare, but I won't let some kid get to me."

The last thug raises to pot to 210 gold.

Thug 5: "There's no way you-"

Jay places all of his weapons on the table.

Jay: "All in."

Thug 4: "T-This kid is going balls deep!"

Thug 5: "H-He's bluffing! Obviously!"

Jay: "(calmly) Am I?"

The thug begins to shake crazily.

Thug 5: "Do I lose no matter what?!"

Jay: "(calmly) Yes."

Thug 5: "I give up!"

The thug smacks his four of a kind down.

Jay: "(calmly) My weapons are named after the deck."

Jay unveils the symbols on playing cards on his four dagger sheaths.

Jay: "Clover, Spade, Heart, Diamond, plus my gun Joker and my nunchucks Ace. Gambling is almost as second nature as bloodshed."

The thug is in despair over the fact that he could've won.

Jay: "I'm going to get my room."

Jay grabs his winnings and goes up to his room.

Jay: "(exhausted) That was easy."

Jay begins to fall asleep.

Jay: "(drowsy) I'll do a search tomorrow."

Jay falls asleep.
