Chapter Twenty Five

Oh hey. How's it going? My favourite song at the moment is OneRepublic's Preacher. Unfortunately, I wont be able to write next week until late Sunday because I am away next week for a camp :) Hope you're enjoying life!

Tears of her own leaked from the emerald orbs as Bella walked into Central Park Zoo the following day. She had to see Silver, check on the wolf guards, and do her duties as an assistant guide and keeper.

However today, she was the Tour Guide.

Abigail had called in sick.

She was never sick.

Bella sighed, as she completed the three tours. Each tour, her mood dropped and dropped, and less people turned up for each tour. She couldn't stand the knowledge that Gail wasn't there, and Bella know it was all her fault. Her informative words for the tour were less and less interesting as it went on, and she ignored half of the questions asked.

Delilah knew something was up, but no matter how many times she repeated the question 'Are you okay?' Bella wouldn't answer to the human. So the wise keeper dropped it, but watched carefully as the young she-wolf walked solemnly around the Zoo, placing the feed in the correct enclosures.

Sister, I have sensed your dark mood from the other side of the Zoo. What is troubling you? Silver's gentle voice echoed in Bella's head as she made her way towards the wolf's enclosure.

The better question is what isn't troubling me. She thought back, as she held the bowl of raw meat in her hands.

What isn't troubling you then?

Nothing.

Well that's helpful. Silver retorted sarcastically. Come to me, dear Bella. We shall discuss what is bothering you.

Bella sighed, walking a little quicker as she headed towards the largest enclosure. Carelessly opening the gate, locking it behind her, she dropped the bowl of meat in the corner and planted her bum on the leafy ground.

Gail knows. She answered, staring up at the dark blue ceiling. Bella watched the dark yellow lights flicker as the rustling in the bushes made her aware of Silver's listening presence.

She knows what? Silver questioned.

She knows of the world of werewolves and vampires. I told Gail when she questioned hers and Jack's date.

Jack is her mate? Silver asked, walking in front of Bella. Her large form was a whole wolf head above Bella's sitting form, so Silver lied down, resting the lumbering head on her crossed paws.

Yeah. Bella told, adjusting herself slightly. She brushed away some of the loose sticks on the ground so she was comfortable before facing the million-dollar wolf. She was suspicious as of how her date was so perfect with him, and her heart conflicted with her head.

The humans may appear oblivious and weak at times, but they're curiosity and sense of the unknown is what makes them deadly to vampires and werewolves alike. Silver spoke carefully. Gail knew something was wrong with the date because it was too perfect, which us werewolves have a tendency of doing when it comes to their human mates. Trying too hard can lead to them being suspicious and that activates their sixth sense.

What do you mean, their 'sixth sense'? Bella questioned, leaning forward slightly.

Well, a sixth sense is basically a subconscious knowing feeling of when a werewolf or vampire is nearby. Silver explained. The humans get this feeling, this sense, when they're walking through a forest in the dark, or even walking down the street and they feel as though they are being watched. It's quite fascinating really, but it is incredibly accurate. Once the feeling is received by them, they become quite wary and some even deadly.

Has this ever happened to you; a human walking past and receiving the sixth sense? Bella asked carefully, aware that she was probably stepping on dangerous territory.

Silver's large wolf shuffled as she lifted her huge head and looked out of the enclosure. She saw the crowd of humans through the thick bush, eagerly peering into the foliage to get a glimpse of her terrorising form.

Watch the brunette teenager at the back. Silver ordered Bella as they both locked their sharp gaze onto her.

The brunette was almost 6ft tall, her wavy brown locks dancing around her shoulders as she looked into Silver's enclosure with her dark brown eyes. Her brown glasses framed her eyes, along with her long lashes and sharp eyebrows. The teenager's dark pink lips pouted as she frowned suddenly.

Bella looked back from the teenager to Silver, whose piercing ice gaze hadn't moved from the brunette. Bella watched as the teenager's bubbly posture suddenly sharpened. The brunette's dark eyes flashed with flecks of gold as she warily looked around her. Her entire aura flipped into one of a deadly human. Her eyes were sharp, her posture widened as she took a defensive stance; ready to run if she felt threatened. The tall man next to her spoke into her ear; no doubt her father asking if she wanted to move on to the next enclosure. The teenager didn't waver from her defensive posture but the quick nod was visible. The man pushed his way through the crowd, his daughter carefully following him; her eyes locking with Silver's briefly as she was lost the human swarm.

"Wow." Bella whispered, looking back at Silver.

Her sense is incredibly strong; no doubt she's felt werewolves and vampires around her before me. Silver spoke sternly. She won't rid herself of the feeling for a while, maybe several hours.

That's incredible! I didn't know humans had that sense. Bella exclaimed, smiling slightly as more humans left and arrived at her enclosure.

It is. Silver whispered, before turning her now gentle gaze onto the blonde in front of her. Now you see why Gail was suspicious. Her sixth sense is just like the brunette teenagers; she knows no matter what you do.

How do I help her?

You just need to give her time. She spoke gingerly. She needs to wrap her mind around the fact that there are two superior races to her, which were told in her dreams, which are real. Wait until she comes to you, you can't force this. Gail will most likely go to Jackson, seeing as they are mates.

Speaking of mates, I have news. Bella spoke, suddenly remembered the words Thalia said to her several weeks ago.

You and Carter? Silver teased slightly, and Bella blushed slightly.

No, not us. We are actually doing well. Bella admitted, looking down at the floor. The leaves crunched under her weight as she shifted from embarrassment; Bella made a mental note to ask for more mulch for Silver's enclosure floor.

Gail and Jack?

No...

Then whom do you speak of? Silver asked, curiosity running through her body.

Princess Thalia of the Wolves and her mate, Leader Elijah Griffin of the Hunters... Bella admitted, and the shock on Silver's face was as noticeable as a black bird in a clear blue sky.

I can already see the problem with that. Silver told Bella, before she can run into explaining how they needed help.

Can you see a solution for them? They have good hearts, and they deserve to be together. Bella pushed, desperate for an answer for her friend.

Silver was silent for a moment, before she sat up onto her hind quarters. Looking down at Bella, you could see the wisdom pooling in the depths of her iridescent blue eyes.

There is a way for them to be together... Silver thought, and Bella's hope spiked. But it won't work until after I am released.

Bella beamed at the wolf, her white teeth glowing in the flickering yellow light. Thank you Silver, this is amazing! I'll tell Thalia as soon as I can.

Silver smiled in her wolf form, her sharp white teeth glinting dangerously. Good. Now, where is my food you put down?

Laughing, Bella reached for the bowl of meat at the locked door, when her phone rang. Silver snarled at the high pitched volume; leaping out of her lying position and bounding into the foliage. Bella heard the snaps of cameras, the bright lights flashing through the bushes as Silver appeared to the public.

Bella, I recommend you hurry before I become deaf and blind! Needing no more motivation for the anger in Silver's voice was plenty, Bella quickly hurried to answer the phone; the chirping stopping once she hit the green button.

"Hello?" She whispered, careful not to upset Silver's sharp hearing anymore. As soon as the high ringtone halted, Silver charged back into the safety behind the greenery. She was still snarling, but it rumbled at the back of her throat like a menacing purr.

"What?!" Bella exclaimed, and the silver wolf's huge head whipped around to eavesdrop on Bella's conversation.

"I'll be back as soon as possible; we need to set the date for the rescue and also need to find out how much the hunters know." Bella ordered, her green eyes flashing as a more dominant side to her was discovered. "Call me as soon as you find the doctor's location."

Hanging up the phone, the blonde teenager looked carefully at the silver wolf. The veterinarian hunter knows that you're Prince Elliot's mate and the future Queen. We need to get the spy's to their position and also get the doctor.

Bella watched as Silver stiffened, her eyes crystallising as they locked with the soft green of the blonde's orbs.

I need to be left alone. Silver spoke quietly in Bella's mind, the lack of emotion within her voice frightening Bella slightly. But nonetheless, she quickly got up and fled the enclosure.

She was walking down the corridors when she heard Silver's howl of anguish.
