2005

She walked slowly into the woods and passed by each tree, trying to remember the exact location where she had seen the most beautiful boy ever in her entire... existence. She'd say life but we all know that would be a lie.

She honestly didn't know why she came back here after three years. She couldn't be expecting to see the boy once again, could she?

Maybe she was.

When she finally found where she thought the right spot was, she sat down. Looking up the sky where the tall trees were almost covering the entire sky, she silently wondered what the boy looked like now, she was certain he'd grown atleast a foot tall.

Then her mind wandered to the words he last spoke.

You won't hurt me, right?

She couldn't understand why he was so certain she won't hurt him when moments before, he was crying in fear. She also wasn't sure why he looked at her with wide-awed eyes, almost like he knew what she was.

Maybe he did.

She wasn't exactly sure why he was thinking about the kid. The possibility of seeing him again was low. The kid probably already forgot about her for f*ck's sake!

She shook her head.

"You're here!"

Her head snapped quickly towards the direction of the voice. It couldn't be possibe that....

Before her thoughts were even finished she was tackled to the ground with slightly chubby arms that were wrapped around her waist.

"H-how--"

"I knew you'd be back!" the boy cut her off, then grinned wide at him.

She looked at him and observed the boy's features. He was certainly taller now and lost some of his baby fats and she was sure when he grew up, he'll be a tall guy. His hair color was also turning a darker shade of brown and was curling at the ends. And when she looked closer in his blue eyes, the greenish shade was starting to reveal itself.

He was still so beautiful.

"What do you mean?" she asked confusedly once she realized what the boy said. She didn't even know how he remembered her.

"I waited for you the same day we met when I was eight, last year, and the year before that, and the year before that. But you never came," he stated while counting off on his fingers and then pouted a little, "It's okay though, cause you're here now!"

She was gaping at the boy now, she couldn't believe what she just heard, "That- that's dangerous! Were your parents informed whenever you go here?"

"N-no," he blushed, "I tell them I was going to go play with my friends at the park."

"Harry, don't you ever do that, okay?" she asked him sternly. It was unsafe. Other vampires could've seen him in the woods all alone.

"You know my name!" he giggled.

She smiled at that, she never forget since she heard his mother yelled his name when she was looking for him.

"How about you? What's your name?" Harry asked him.

"Liv," she said before she realized how ironic her nickname was. She was dead. She corrected herself, "Olivia. My name's Olivia."

"Olivia," he repeated then beamed at her, making his dimpled pop out, "I like!"

"Thank you," she laughed, "Now, Harry, why were you waiting for me the past three years?"

"I never get to say goodbye the last time. You were gone so quickly," he pouted.

"I'm sorry, I didn't know it was a big deal," she said almost laughing.

"Ofcourse it was a big deal!" he frowned, looking like an angry kitten, "You're my friend and friends bid their goodbyes!"

She gasped, "I'm your what?"

"My friend." he stated simply.

"Thank you for considering me your friend." she said truthfully.

He beamed like the sun itself, "You're welcome!"

She looked up, noticing that the sky was getting darker and it was already dangerous for an eleven year old boy to be out in the dark night.

"Time to go home, Harry."

"But I just got here," he whined.

"It's not safe for children to be out at this time. Surely you've heard about- about vampires?" she asked, gulping.

He nodded, "But- you're with me and- and- and you'll never hurt me right?"

She just smiled at him.

"I'll wait for the next time we meet again," he stated happily.

"No, Harry," she said, "You won't wait for me again."

"But you're my friend," he sniffled and tears were already threatening to fall from his eyes.

"No, no don't cry baby," she wiped the tears, "Listen to me carefully, Harry. You wont come here in the woods without me, okay love?"

He nodded.

"No, I want you to promise me, Harry." she said, looking straight to his eyea.

"But when will you be here?" he asked.

"Three years," she said, "After three years. I will be here at the same time and same place."

He paused for a moment before he sighed, "Three years' a long time. But, okay. I promise."

That made her smile, "Good boy."

He beamed at her making his dimples appear again. He turned around and started running away from her and out of the woods.

She turned around and started walking but she heard the boy's sweet voice again.

"Olivia!"

She looked back at him running towards her and attaching itself on her waist for a hug. Her heart instantly warmed at that. Figuratively though.

"I'll wait, I promise!" he swore, "Goodbye, Olivia!"

Then he ran away, leaving her watching his tiny figure disappear.

Three years' a long time, she knew that. But waiting to see her tiny friend for three years is nothing compared to centuries of having no one.
