-Combat With The Beast

Anna's POV

I started sweating. What should I say? Should I lie? I don't think so. He will easily understand that I am lying. Think Anna, think!

"Tell me Sweet. How did you come here?", he asked again, while looking at my face.

"I... I-I... I...", I trailed off not knowing what to say. His hands tightened around me.

"Sweet. Tell me the truth", he said in a calm voice. I huffed. I looked down at his chest, where I lay my hands.

"I lied to the guards that I asked your permission", I said while drawing patterns on his chest with my finger tips. I peeked at his face through my eye lashes and found him looking deeply at me. I bit my lip feeling scared that he might get angry. I quickly averted my gaze down at my fingers. I felt his fingers under my chin and lift my head up to meet his eyes.

"You should not have lied".

"I know. But I was getting bored sitting in the house. I want to go outside and explore the pack. I want to know the pack things. I don't even know where the pack house is till I came here today. I am sorry that I lied". I bit my lip in the end. His thumb finger removed my lip from my assaulting teeth. He ran his finger on the lip.

"You right. But what if something happens to you. I don't want anything happening to you".

"Bane, there are guards with me already", I tried to reason out.

"I know, but you coming out of the house with me knowing is unacceptable. Don't do that again. Also I am going to change your guards. I should talk with your present guards and their irresponsibility", he said the last lines angrily.

"Bane. Please don't do anything to them. They didn't do anything. Actually it's my mistake. I may have used my Luna position. I know, I am not officially a Luna an-", he cut me off.

"I want you to be my Luna. I want you to be the Luna of my pack. You are the Luna of my pack since I found you. I just officially didn't announce it, cause I don't want other packs to harm you. I have many enemies Sweet. I don't want them harming you because of me". His eyes held so much emotion.

"It's okay Bane. I understand. Don't punish the guards, please", I gave him my puppy face. He huffed and nodded his head.

"Let's go", he said and was about to take me out, but I stopped him.

"You are not wearing anything Bane", I said pointing down at his body and trying hard not to look down at his body, while blushing furiously.

"Wait a minute", he said and I nodded my head. He left to go inside a room and came out with a pair of shorts. His six pack is full on view. Droplets of sweat are running down his chest and I bit my lip in temptation.

I looked up at him and he ran a hand through his hair.

"Fuck!", he hissed and pushed me to the wall as he came near me. He was about to kiss me, when we heard a voice.

"Alpha. What do we do with the dead body?", his beta asked with his head down. Bane cursed under his breathe.

'Is it a new thing that you are asking me now?", he said angrily.

"Sorry Alpha", he said and went inside the glass cabin to the dead body. I was looking curiously at what the Beta was doing, but Bane pulled me by my waist and took me outside. I always get a bad wibe from the Beta. The way he looks at me. The way he handles things always tells me that there is something wrong.

"Come Sweet". We are both outside and walking through the hallway.

"Bane, what are you going to do with the dead body?".

"Burn it", he answered with a cold voice. I just nodded my head.

As we walked outside the way I came in, the guards that brought me here are waiting outside for me. As soon as they saw us, they bowed. Bane growled angrily and I ran my hand on his chest to calm him down.

"Do. Your. Duty. Correctly. Got it?", he warned with red eyes and he held the guard by his shirt and lifted him an inch off the ground. I watched at him in horror. The guard nodded him head furiously with a scared look on his face.

"Bane. Stop it!", I said angrily. He dropped him and the guard adjusted his shirt. Bane pulled me by my waist again and brought me outside.

"I told you that it was not his mistake", I said, but Bane looked like he doesn't care. It's waste to talk with him!

"Let me drop you home", he said while taking me to his car.

"No. I want to see the pack house. I didn't even meet anyone, except Jane". He looked like he was thinking.

"Not today Sweet. Next week definitely", he said like he was promising.

"Okay".

"Good. Now let's go", he said and opened the car door for me. I got in saying a small thank you. On the way

"Bane, can I ask you something?". He looked at me in the eyes.

"Anything". He trained his eyes back to the road.

"Who is that man that you were beating there and why are you givi-".

"My Sweet, ask me anything, but not that. I want to give you happiness, not let you know about the troubles", he said.

"But Ban-".

"No Anna. We are not talking about it", his voice is not angry, but the one that said no more discussion.

I huffed angrily and folded my hands near my chest.

"We are here", he said and I got out of the car and shut the door more forcefully than needed. I walked furiously inside the house. I walked into our room and sat on the bed. Bane came after me.

I looked at him and found his eyes twinkling with amusement. What is it that is amusing him?

"By the way. From today onwards, your security will be doubled", he said and went inside the closet. I am shocked. I got up from the bed and followed him to the closet.

"What? Are you going to built a wall with security?", I asked sarcastically.

"Yeah I will, if I need to", he said arrogantly and turned around to find a shirt to wear. I turned him back to me, at least I tried. He turned back himself.

"I don't want any security. I am a warrior. I have warrior blood in me. I can fight anyone", I said proudly.

"Anyone?", he asked looking at me.

"Yeah. Anyone. I can even fight you and win", I said arrogantly and folded my hands near my chest. Oh no! Did I just say that?

"Really?" he asked and the corner of his lips twitched.

"Umm... Really", I said maintaining a serious face.

"Okay then. Fight me", he said. I looked at him up and down. There is no chance of me winning. Not even a point one percent. But I will not back down. I will fight him.

You have sure lost your mind. My wolf said.

I rolled my eyes at her.

"Okay I will", I said and I took a fighting stance.

"Not in the closet sweet", he said and went outside to the bedroom. I know that the closet may be big, but not big to fight.

"You want to fight in the bed room?", I asked confused.

"Oh I am sure I will take you down in more than three seconds. I just don't want you to get hurt, because if we fight in the closet you may hit yourself to something. Now ready?", he asked. My heart swelled at the concern. My wolf is right now sitting down on the floor with her chin on her paw. I came out of the stance and took a fighting stance. He just stood there looking amused.

I looked at him like I was aiming to his leg, but quickly hit his stomach with my hard fist. He looked unaffected. God! His stomach is so strong! What is it?! Rock or a stomach?! I then tried to hit on his beautiful face, but he took my wrist and I don't know what happened next few minutes, cause now he is pulling my hair, making my head throw back and I am straddling him. His face is in my neck.

What happened?!, I asked myself.

Oh please. Our sexy mate won and you lost, my mate said.

"Oh you do fight well my Sweet", he said while kissing my neck and licking my skin there. I moaned at the touch of his tongue.

"Bane", I moaned his name while closing my eyes. He sniffed my scent.

"You smell divine mate", his voice doubled a little. I opened to stare back into a pair of dark green eyes.

"Bane. We are fighting", I whispered.

"Oh yeah and you lost", he whispered and his minty breathe fanned my face.

"No! I will fight you", I said stubbornly.

"Really? How?", he asked and our faces are still so close.

"I will fight you with my wolf", I blurted out.

Oh no. I won't, my wolf said. I just ignored her.

He raised his eye brow.

"What?".

"We can fight in our wolf forms. I will win", I challenged and told him in a very confident voice.

"Okay", he said while smirking.

I am so stupid!
