"Good morning baby" Reba said kissing his cheek.Narvel rolled I've with his back facing her.She gave him a puzzled look and leaned over his more to capture his lips, but that didn't work."What wrong Narvel" Reba asked.He turned to lay on his back. "It's what you said in the car." He replied. Reba made a face in disbelief "Narvel, are you serious?""I'm very serious Reba that hurt" he said getting up. Reba grabbed his arm and pulled him back down."Narvel it was a joke.Its your baby and I wouldn't keep you from her." She said."Well it wasn't funny" he said."Look, I'm sorry." She said."Here will this help?" She asked taking his hand and putting on the spot where the baby was kicking.He quickly removed his from hand from her belly "it's not that simple Reba" he said and felt the room."What the hell Narvel?!" She yelled after him.He had already mad his way down stairs "What's going on with you two" Jackie asked pouring Narvel a cup of coffee"The stupid joke she made in the car." He said"It got to you that bad?" She asked."Yes, I was like she was telling me I can be with the baby, but only sometimes." She replied."Honey, Reba needs you and if your going to act like this over a joke just imagine what it will be like when she's cranky and up all night with the baby." Jackie said."I know that, but this is the only way I can bond with the baby" He said. Little did he know that Reba was listening to very word he said."You are bonding with her.Reba loves you and smiled when your around, somehow babies can feel that and their happy too." She said."It took Shelby a year to open up to me and it killed me. I really don't want that to happen with this baby" he told his mother in law."I think it'll be just fine." Jackie said."And plus if it happens again then just take Reba's place and you play the mom.She'll warm up to you." Jackie advised.

Reba came walking into the kitchen. Before she could sit down Narvel grabs her hand and wraps his arms around her neck."I thought you hated me." She said."Baby, I could never hate you. I just did like what you said. I over reacted I'm sorry" he said rubbing her back.She gave in and wrapped her arms around his waist. "I'm sorry if the joke hurt you." She said tearing up. "It's okay I over reacted" he said then kissed the top of her head.Jackie smiled at her daughter and went back to cooking.Reba pulled just enough so she could cupped his face and say"I love you so much" and kiss him. He sets his hands on both sides of her belly.She placed her hands on his and kissed him back. The baby moved when their lips parted."She loves you" Reba said looking into his eyes."I hope so." He smiled"It wouldn't be fair if she didn't." He replied she nodded her head and laughed."I know so, Mama have I showed you the game that Narvel and Lylah made up on the plane yesterday?" Reba asked her mother."No I don't think you have." Jackie answered giggling ."Babe that game only works if she is kickin" lNarvel said."She is kicking." Reba replied pointing to a place on her stomach.Narvel started playing the game with his daughter and l three of them started laughing.She stopped kicking and Jackie poked out her bottom lip."She must be tired from you two bickering all day." "We haven't been fighting that much have we" Reba asked."Well no but we haven't been exactly communicating either." Narvel said."Oh" Reba said looking sad."But we're good now right?" He said cheerfully."are you hungry?" He added on."Yes, and when I am not hungry" Reba replied.It was like Jackie read her mind. She set a huge plate of bacon, eggs, biscuits, and sausage down in front of Reba."Mama you know me too well" Reba said with a mouth full of food.Jackie laughed and poured Narvel some more coffee. He looked a little disappointed that he didn't get such a big breakfast.jackie smirked and set his food down In front him. "Thanks Mom" he said.She smiled at him and pinched his cheek."What the plan for today honey" Narvel asked turning to reba."I'm not sure?" She said taking another big bite."How bout we visit with Pake and Pecos Pete" Narvel asked."How bout we visit with Pake and Pecos Pete" Narvel asked. "I can't believe he is going to be too soon" Jackie said."Me either! I remember when he was born!" Reba said excitedly. "He is going be so happy to see you both" Jackie said."We're so happy to see him to." Narvel replied. "Thanks for breakfast Mama" Reba said getting up and putting her dishwasher."I got it." Jackie said washing the dish.Reba threw her hands up and went to get dressed.

Narvel met Reba upstairs. When he got into their room, he wrapped he is arms around Reba from behind her and kissed her cheek ."What was that for?" She asked turning around and wrapping her arms around his neck."Can't a guys hug his gorgeous wife when he wants to?" He asked."I guess." She said kissing him."How did I get blessed enough to have the best wife on this planet" He asked.She blushed and looked down."She is going to be so lucky." Reba said putting one hand on her stomach."What do mean she is going to lucky, shes already lucky" he said.She smiled up at him and kissed him softly, saying something that words couldn't."She already has the best Mama in the world" Narvel said."You'll love her even if she hates you right?" Reba asked."I'll love her so much she'll be forced to love me back." He replied.Reba laughed and he said"but I won't love her more then I love you" "About the same?" He said."Yea."she agreed."Are you ready to go" Reba asked."Yep." He replied."Then let's go." She said grabbing his hand."Mama do you want to come with us?" Reba asked when they got downstairs."No I saw him the other day, you two go." She said."You sure" Narvlel asked."Yep." She said washing dishes."Okay we'll see you later" Reba said."Y'all have fun." She said as they walked out the door.

"I'm kinda surprised she didn't want to come. She never passes on a chance to see her grand babies" Narvel said."I think she wanted us to have some down time."she said."With us around, she needs it"He replied.Reba laughed and hit his shoulder."Ouch that hurt" Narvel whined.She raised her eyebrow and poked out her lip."Sorry." "Lair" He said laughing."Your right." She said.She rubbed his should where she hit him and said "better?" "You know what will really make it better?he asked.She shook her head."A kiss." He turns his head making his lips collide with hers.She pulled away."That wasn't fair." She whined."If I asked for a real kiss, I wouldn't have I gotten it" Narvel said.She glared at him and turned her head to focus out her window of the car."That's what I thought" He said proudly. "Mmhmm" she sassed."What" he asked."Oh nothin." She replied."Tell me" he begged."Smartass." She said."Stubborn" he responded.They burst out in laughter and finally arrived at Pake's house.

"Do you think he will remember me" Reba asked nervously."I'm sure he will, if I remember correctly your his favorite aunt." Narvel said."I'm the fun Aunt" Reba replied excitedly."I reckon."Narvel said."Thanks darlin" she said get out of the car.

They walked up to the door hand in hand."Ready?" Narvel asked ."Yep." She replied knocking.Pake opened the door with Pecos in this arms."Hey buddy."Reba said tickling Pecos. He defiantly remembered her. He reached out forger and she took him, bouncing him on her hip."Be bo ba" Pecos said in the cutest way. "Awe" she cooed. They baby kicked hard against his leg. "Oh" she said surprised.Pecos gave her a funny look."What was that buddy" She asked and he started to get nervous.The look on his face was priceless. He climbed further up on her when the baby kicked again, not so hard this time. "That's your cousin Lylah " Reba said.He started looking around for a person."No buddy she's in here." Reba said pointing to her stomach."He is so confused" Pake said laughing.He buried his head in her neck."Awe buddy." She cooed running his back."She don't like me" Pecos said crying into her neck."Awe buddy she was just sayin 'hey'." Reba comforted."She wants to play with you so much that she is trying to get out of aunt Ba's tummy" Pake said.Pecos started smiling and giggling. "I wanna play with her." He said. "Hang on buddy I'll teach you in a second" she said walking inside and sitting on the couch. She set him in her lap facing her. She took his hands in hers and placed them on her stomach.When Lylah starts kicking and he starts laughing. Reba would move his hands to different parts of her belly and Pecos would laugh even more.She stopped kicking and Pecos poked his lip out. "She's just sleeping, she had to much dum playing." Reba said in a way he would understand."Wake up her Aunt Ba" he yelled."She's tired buddy." Pake said. "I don't care" he said."Let her sleep and she will play with you later." Pake said trying to calm him down."Can I play with you while she sleeps" Reba asked, she always was good with children.He nodded his head in agreement."Wanna show me your new action toys?" She asked.Pecos walked over to his giant toy box and pulled one out. He walk back over to Reba was sitting on the floor and he sat right on top of her belly."Oh be careful buddy." She said lifting him up quickly."What" he asked confused."You'll squish the baby" she explained."How" he asked sitting infront of Reba leaning back on her belly. "Well, she's tiny but she's growin.She's a lot smaller than you so when ya sit on her ya squish her." Reba explained as best she could."When I can meet her" he asked."In a couple of months, she's got to grow a little more." She said."I want to meet her now" He said not understanding."Bub, she's not big enough to come out and meet you." Narvel said sitting behind Reba on the couch."Ohh, but yet she hits" he said and everyone started laughing "Yep she sure does." Reba said."Do you love her" Pake asked his son.Pecos shook his head and hugged Reba's belly. "Awe." She cooed putting her hands on his back."She loves you too buddy" Reba said with tears in her eyes."Why ya cryin Ba?" He asked."I'm happy that you love her" Reba said."I love you too." He said kissing Reba's cheek."Thank you buddy, Are you going Lylah's protector?" She asked.He nodded and kissed her stomach.

Eventually Pecos fell asleep on Reba.
