Reba and Narvel spent 3 more days at Jackie's house.It was filled with laughter and memories which was rare since Clark died.It just wasn't the same without him there and Narvel knew it hurt Reba because he would have loved to have another grandchild.
They were on the plane headed back to Tennessee and Reba hadn't stopped crying."Look,we'll be back down there for Christmas.Thats not that far away."Narvel said trying to comfort her.She seemed to cheer up a little hearing this.He tried to keep her calm,happy, and relaxed, doing this he might increase the chance of the baby being more healthy.
When the plane started to descend Reba was asleep with her head resting on Narvel's shoulder."Reba, wake up." he said shrugging his shoulder to get her attention."hmmm" she grumbled."The plane is landing."he told her as he buckled her up.He chuckled seeing her fall back asleep.When the plane landed and jerked causing Reba to jump awake.Narvel laughed and pulled her close.
Reba called Shelby as soon as they got home.
S-hey mom.
R-Hey baby,I just called to ask you what you thought about the baby.
S-Well...I think that it's your decision and I support what you do.
R-Really?
S-Yeah,I can't stop you from having a kid.
R-Are you sure?
S-Mom!I'm okay with it.
R-Thank you.
S-For what?
R-Being okay with this.It means a lot that you aren't mad now.
S-I wasn't mad before.I was just confused.It'll take some time to get used to it.
R-Your father is calling me so I gotta go.Love ya!
S-Love you too.
Narvel was calling Reba from their bedroom.Reba walked upstairs and saw Narvel in his pj's laying in bed, Reba was already in sweatpants so she climbed in beside him."What do you want to do about the tour?"Narvel asked her."Oh my God I totally forgot!"Reba said flopping back on her pillow."We need to decide something.I don't want you performing anymore due to the high risk and passing out."Narvel said."I guess we'll cancel."Reba said."Alright.I got to make a few phone calls."Narvel said grabbing his phone."I'm going to take a bath then."she replied walking into the bathroom.
Once the water had been drawn she slowly slipped into the steaming bubbles and immediately she felt her muscles relax.A smile spread across her face as she remembered she had nothing to do or stress over.She had time to think about everything she was thankful for.She was thankful for God blessing her with a new baby.She was thankful for her son excepting the newest edition.She was thankful for Narvel.She was thankful for her fame,fortune,and voice.And for her family in Oklahoma...she eventually fell asleep.
