(I am trying so hard to make this detailed by not stereotypical to these fanfics so I'm sorry if it does become a touch cliche 😓)
Perci looked at the dress the Aphrodite campers decided that was hers. The party was in an hour and she was supposed to meet with the rest of the seven at the Empire State Building 10 minutes before it began. She knew she had long since given up trying to get the gods appreciation so why start now?
After threading through her limited clothing that was at camp, she decided on a combination she liked. If the gods weren't going to treat her with respect, why should she do any different?
(outfit pictured above if you are so intrigued but it's not important: dress on left, own choice on right)
Thor walked into the living quarters of Avengers Tower. Most of the teams members were there either eating, watching TV or in most cases, both.
"My friends, I must depart now for a- err, event. I should be back within a day or two."
Most of them nodded barely straying their attention from what they were doing.
Sam looked up curious to where Thor would be going.
"Damn man, you're wearing your fancy armour. This must be one special date." The others looked up at this, wondering what could be so interesting. A few of them ooo'd in agreement, and some *cough*Clint*cough* were implying something a bit too close to the truth for Thor. Though he understood his role, he was still uncomfortable with the task set upon him, and the implication they were setting wasn't making him feel any better about the situation.
"There is an event I must attend as the Prince of Asgard. There is expected to be no fight but it is a ceremony, therefore my, as you said, fancy armour." The Avengers hummed in agreement, happy with the answer they were given.
"Either way have fun man." Sam called out as Thor ventured to the balcony. He stopped exiting on the window after Tony explained that it would be better to just spend the extra 3 seconds to go outside before flying off.
With that, Thor began his short flight to Olympus. This night was going to be quite eventful.

Perci called Blackjack to pick her up. She wasn't sure how the rest of the seven were getting there but they were probably going by their respective horses. The flight was short and she accounted for donut shop time so she arrived just as the others were getting there.
"Perci. Wow, okay." Annabeth said, stunned at her obvious rejection of the gods wishes. All the rest of the group were wearing tuxedos and dresses. Perci smiled uncomfortably, shrugging her shoulders hoping the night would get a move on.
"Hang on why does she get to wear whatever she wants and I have to wear a tie- oomph" Leo doubled over after Pipers punch to his gut. "Damn it Pipes."
"Perci you look lovely. You remind me of your Dad." Perci nodded at Piper's compliment and turned to enter the building. They did get a few weird looks, being some young adults entering the Empire State Building dressed to the teeth, but the mortals mainly shrugged and moved on.
As Perci strode forward, the rest of the seven following behind, she went straight to the guard with a clipboard by the elevator.
"500th floor please." Perci firmly stated to the guard.
"Names plea-" He stopped as he glanced up at Perci's unimpressed face. His face flickered to horrified before resuming his collected expression. "Oh, I'm so sorry. Right this way Miss."
They all entered the elevator, Perci holding onto the bar on the side a little too hard. They stood in silence as they went up, the music covering the awkward moment, however to their dismay not making any of them feel at ease.
------ (it's line appreciation day. show appreciation to your local lines)
Thor was standing with his father and Loki to the side of the hall. There was the god of music, Apollo, performing but no one seemed to be that interested. The entire hall, made of marble, was a beautiful sight to see. It was nice seeing something that wasn't solid gold. There was fabric draped along the walls in swooping arches, and everyone was dressed to impress.
Though the party was meant to signify the two Parthenon's coming together and uniting, they were each standing stiffly to each side. The Asgardians brought Thor, Loki, Odin, Lady Sif, Balder, Fandral, Hogun and Volstagg as well as a small group of guards. The attendance for the Greek side definitely outnumbered the Asgardians, so they were a bit calmer about the situation. All in all this last 10 minutes have made it clear that tonight was going to be uninteresting.
"A union my ass." Thor snorted into his drink quietly at Loki's muttering, Odin instead choosing to hit him 'lightly' on the shoulder.
This continued on for another 5 minutes until the Greek side became quiet, only murmuring while casting their gaze at the stairs. A Satyr walked to the middle of the top step and cleared his throat.
"Now some of the other special guests this evening. Jason Grace, son of Jupiter with Piper McLean, daughter of Aphrodite." A couple walked down the stairs. It took a moment but Thor realised that these were the legendary members of the Seven, sacrificing everything to save the world. Sure he and the Avengers did it a few times, but all of them were adults having had a chance to live.
"Hazel Levesque, daughter of Pluto with Frank Zhang, son of Mars." The next couple walked down the stairs, shy from the attention.
"Leo Valdez, son of Hephaestus with Calypso." The boy out his hands up smiling and laughing, the girl trying to pull his arms down; Thor smiled at their antics.
"Annabeth Chase, daughter of Athena." The lone woman moved down quickly, moving to gather with the rest of the seven.
"Perseus Jackson, daughter of Poseidon."
"It's Perci." A voice came from the corridor above the stairs. The voice was identified as a woman appeared at the top of the stairs. Muttering in the crowd began, some about her achievements, but mostly about her choice in clothes.
Thor sighed. He wished he had the balls to stand up to Odin. One day.
------ (this is the last line this chapter I promise)
Perci stood at the top of the stairs. She knew that she would stand out being the only one in casual wear, but the stares were making her as uncomfortable as the clothes were comfortable. She indelicately walked down the stairs, making echoing stomps in the almost silence. As she reached the bottom and turned to her friends she turned back to leave one parting message.
"Oh gods, don't stop for me."-a pause- "literally I guess."
