Chapter-1

Warning:

1. This is a very dark story so be warned as it will contain disturbing scenes.

2. This story will not contain a love story. I mostly write slice of life feel-good love stories so I understand the expectations of my friends' and don't want to disappoint and mislead them.

3. The main character is many times crueler than the worst of villains. So please keep in mind that this is the origin story of an anti-heroine or a villainess.

4. Again, this fic will contain many disturbing scenes. No SMUT or NSFW scenes will be there but the bullying and torture scenes will be brutal.

5. This will not be a subtle story. The characters will be larger than life, the situations will be larger than life. It may contain too much drama and it won't be realistic. I mostly try to create healing stories based on realistic situations (even if the hero is CEO, I try my best to keep the story grounded), but this story will be dramatic, theatrical, basically an all out story.

6. This is basically a story of a woman written for women. While males can also enjoy it, but this is the story of feminist vengeance against patriarchy. So if you are uncomfortable with that subject, please let me know.

=================

Nitya Bagchi was washing the utensils in the cold winter night. The water was freezing and she was sitting in open space. The weather was frigid and her hands were unusually slow. Tears were streaming down her cheeks so she wiped them up with the back of her palm but due to her hand full of soap, the soapwater got into her eyes causing her eyes to burn. Still she kept on washing the utensils.

Then a middle-aged woman came out in the open space, with one hand on her waist and the other hand holding a burning tong. She stood above Nitya and shouted, "I have to make dinner and the Queen has not yet finished washing the utensils."

"I...I...am d...doing it Kaki," Nitya started to hurry up but a severe pain shot in her arms.

Nitya's Kaki kicked her strongly and said, "You dare answer back to me. Wait, I'll teach you a lesson."

She pulled Nitya by her hair and tore the sleeves of her salwar kurta.

"Kaki, No," Nitya whimpered. There were blisters on her both arms due to severe burning.

Nitya's Kaki stopped in her tracks seeing that. Her eyes went wide. Nitya beseechingly looked at heart thinking finally her father's sister in law felt some pity in the bottom of her heart for this pathetic niece of hers.

"Who did that?" The voice of Nitya's Kaki was motherly and full of concern, then her lips curled into a smirk, "It seems they have done their job sloppily." Saying this, Nitya's Kaki burned her arms with burning tongs. Nitya's screams were loud enough to be heard by the neighbours but they simply turned up the volumes of their TVs.

Nitya's Kaki dragged her through the whole house as her cousin of the same age was giggling and cutting down her books with scissors.

Nitya held her Kaki's feet as her Kaki was dragging her, "Please don't oust me Kaki. Where will I go? I am an orphan, Kaki. I've no one except you. I'll be more quick in housework. I won't give you any chance to complain..."

But her Kaki dragged her to the door and kicked her out of the house. Nitya was shivering outside. She was not afraid of spending the night without a roof over her head. It had happened many times and she knew, Kaki couldn't manage housework without Nitya as the free servant. She was worried about her bloodied salwar.

Six months earlier earlier...

Five second year college students are standing in the college gymnasium.

"You dared to say No to me," the prettiest looking girl amongst them asked. She was tall and her wavy hair, her slender figure, her doe eyes, her button nose already confirmed her status as the queen of the hearts of every guy in her class but her regal demeanor screamed rich parents. She was the only child of the richest family in their small town. Her name was Naira Roy. She was flanked by two lackeys, Nikita Majumdar and Naina Lahiri. All three were famous as Nefarious Na. Nikita belonged to a middle class family but she was a sucker for life way beyond her means. So she used rich kids to get the taste of luxurious living. Naina was a girl who was always smoking or drunk or stoned.

Nitya trembled, "I...I said I won't kiss Anirban. I will only kiss the boy I love, not Anirban."

"Acting all high and mighty," Naira slapped Nitya, "I knew you always had eyes on my Ryan."

"Pay respect to your seniors," Nikita slapped on Nitya's face many times.

The tall boy, the youngest kid of Uber rich parents, Ryan D'Souza, just non-chalantly kept on smoking, his hands on Naira's thighs.

It was true Nitya nursed a crush on Ryan since long but she always knew he was way above her station.

Naira snatched the cigarette from Pranay and the irritation was clearly visible on Ryan's face, but Naira took a long dreg from the cigarette. "Nikita, have you brought what I told you to?"

"Obvio, Naira," Nikita said and opened a gift pack. Inside it was curling iron.

"N...No," Nitya was white with fear.

"OK," Naira said.

"Thank you," Nitya said, her eyes full of gratitude.

"Come with me," Naira took Nitya's tiffin box which Nikita had handed her and with hands on Nitya's shoulders, she took her near the drainage and emptied the contents of tiffin in the drain.

"Eat," Naira said, "Eat. I said."

Nitya began fishing the food from the drain and started eating it. Vomit was coming up her throat but she swallowed it lest it should anger Naira.

After eating the food, Nitya innocently asked, "Can I leave now?"

"Ahh..." Naira said, "My mood has changed now." Getting signal, Nikita and Naina hold Nitya's hands and legs and Anirban closed her mouth and Naira burned her arms with curling iron.

After they were done with her, Nitya was a stone. As they were going to leave, Ryan said, "Wait! Why did you leave me out in your game?"

Everyone smiled. Naira said, "She always looked at you with heart eyes. Go fulfil her wish."

When Ryan was done, Anirban retched and vomited all over himself. It was too much...too much for him to handle. But what could he do? If it was not Nitya, it could very well be him. This was the price for a middle class guy like him to survive.

It continued for six months whenever those cool kids wanted entertainment.

------

Nitya was dragging herself on the road cross-legged because she didn't want anyone to see her bloodies salwar. It was very painful, yes, but even after her dignity stripped so many times, Nitya clutched tightly any shred of self-respect she had. Finally she reached the river. Her arms were burning.

"At least it'll burn less in the river," Nitya jumped into the river.

But Nitya didn't die, not then. When she woke up, she saw a handsome man humming to himself while making tea. His broad shoulders, his toned muscles could make any girl weak in the knees but Nitya was no longer that girl.

As Nitya tried to get up, the boy said, "Hush! Don't you dare wake up! I won't let you hurt yourself."

Nitya's eyes filled with fresh tears. She wanted to die yet she was alive. Even the mercy of death wasn't granted to her.

"I'm Sameer Oberoi," the boy said, And then taking the drops of tears on his fingertips he bowed his forehead to them and said, "I don't know who you are but I'll never let a single tear flow from your eyes now."

And with that Nitya trusted...again.
