CHAPTER ONE.

i.    a major problem!

THE TWO WINCHESTER brothers, and their male angel friend stood around each other in Bobby Singer's kitchen. They were all arguing over the matter of Crowley, the demon, still alive, and continuing to control his demons. "But I burned the bones." Castiel reassured. "Are you certain?" He seemed very skeptical and hesitant.

"Sounded pretty sure." Dean pointed out. "According to her, Crowley is still waterboarding her kids somewhere."

Castiel, still entirely confused, furrowed his eyebrows. "I do not understand."

"Well he is one crafty son of a bitch." Dean muttered with a sigh.

It took a moment before Castiel replied, "I am an angel. I will look into it immediately." Right after, the male had disappeared into thin air.

"Cas!" Dean yelled out, almost hoping he could bring the angel back to finish their conversation. "Let us know what you find out. . ."

Sharing a look, Sam and Dean then turned around and journeyed into the living room. In the corner of the room, Bobby sat in his reclining chair. "How did Crowley get away? I mean it's not like Cas to make mistakes like that. Unless he meant to. . ." The older of the three pondered aloud. It was clear that Dean did not agree.

"Bobby, this is Cas we're talking about." He paused to glance at his younger brother. "Do you believe this?" Once Sam did not answer, Dean gave him a puzzled look. "Sam?"

The youngest let out a loud sigh in response. "Look, it's probably nothing. It's just- you know what? You're right. I-It's probably nothing."

A KNOCK ON the door sounded throughout the rickety house, which startled the three men who sat inside of it. All of them shared a skeptic glance before Sam was standing up off of the couch. He slowly ventured to the door, but not before he grabbed a handgun off of one of the side tables. As he reached it, Sam positioned the gun against the wood at around the average chest level, and peered into the peep hole.

A woman with long, blonde hair crouched on the un-sturdy, old porch with her hands running through a patch of small dandelions as they swayed with the wind. A yellow aura seemed to cling onto her that the Winchester could not comprehend. "Sam!" Dean called out. The woman's head then turned to face the door, before getting into her feet and sending a small smile to the peephole he was looking through.

Sam shook off his nerves as he threw the door open, keeping the gun stationed against the brown wood.

Her face instantly brightened when the two of them locked eyes. "Sam Winchester." She spoke fondly. Her hand was lifted up, waiting to be shaken by the other. "It is a pleasure to finally meet you."

Sam furrowed his eyebrows. He had never seen this woman before, which led him to wondering how the total stranger before him knew his name. "Likewise." He stated, which came out as more of a question. "Who are you?" Sam questioned before grabbing her petite hand, and giving it a timid shake.

"I am-" She started but was cut off from Dean calling out Sam's name again. Sam let out a sigh and ushered the mystery woman inside.

She walked inside, taking glances at her surroundings as she passed them. Sam closed the door behind her, and set the gun back down onto the side table. The weapon laid hidden behind a picture frame. The two of them walked into the living room, which caused Dean and Bobby's conversation to come to a halt.

Dean hoisted himself to his feet, grabbing the gun from his waist belt. He raised it at the woman's eye sight. She seemed to not be phased by his weapon. "Who's this?" Bobby hesitantly asked.

"Hello, Dean and Bobby. My name is Ariel. I'm the archangel of nature, but I am here to protect you!" She smirked, studying the expression on everybody's faces. "I am here because you have a major problem. Well, you will have a major problem."

Dean scoffed, "What kind of bullshit it this?" He dropped the gun to his side, and turned to face the two other men.

Ariel's face dropped. "You don't believe me." When none of the others replied, she let out a sigh. "What does it take for you to trust that I am an angel of the lord?" Ariel asked, glancing at the three.

Dean and Bobby shared a look before they were grabbing the necessities for trial runs. Sam grabbed the flask of holy water before turning around, and flicking his wrist in her direction. Holy water flew from the tiny bottle, and landed directly on her cheek. Sam was ultimately shocked that she didn't go up in smoke.

Dean walked passed his brother, Ruby's demon knife in hand. He dug the blade into her stomach, with a smirk plastered to his face. Ariel sighed before taking the knife out of her body, and handing it back to Dean.

"I am an angel." Ariel concluded, much to the men's dismay. "You can trust me."

There was no sound for a few seconds. "Show us your wings." Bobby spoke out of no where. Ariel whipped her head in his direction.

Ariel's eyes grew with realization that that was probably the easiest way to prove that she was an angel. Almost immediately, a lightning bolt hit the ground directly outside the window. Two large, wings were outlined in gold from her back. It was only an image though, not her true wings, for that was saved for a different occasion. The three men stared in awe at the imagery before them.

Dean sighed. He recalled that it was just as Castiel had done when the two of them had first met. The three men backtracked and took a seat on the retro-style couch. Ariel remained standing.

"Do you believe me now?" She tried again. Dean sighed as a reply.

After a moment of careful thought, Bobby spoke again, "We believe you. What was this thing about us bein' in trouble?"

"Currently, I am not authorized to give you that information for it will alter the course of the upcoming actions. I shall return with good news in a few days."

Dean furrowed his eyebrows and stood from the couch. "Then why the hell would you tell us about it?"

"I have to make sure that you will allow me to help you before the situation arises. I also have a deal to make with you all."

The eldest Winchester spoke up again, "That sounds a lot like something a demon would say."

"You ran the trial tests, you saw my wings, why are you still skeptical, Dean Winchester?" The angel asked, taking a small step forward with her eyes narrowed.

Suddenly, Sam stood from the couch and put his right hand on his brother's shoulders. "Listen, Ariel, was it? Just leave, get your information, and come back."

"Before I leave, I must ask of you two thing. The first, do not talk with my brother, Castiel, about me. The second, if you pray to me, I can hear you and I promise that I will drop whatever I am doing to come help you. I must insure that your problem does not escalate to its desired potential." The angel spoke her words, and then she was gone. She had left the three men dazed and confused. Neither had really grasped the concept of what had just happened.

Bobby sighed and glanced the other two males. "What the hell have we just gotten into?"
