Jax's POV

Zeta was resting her head on my shoulder as we continued to circulate body heat under the blankets. They were a bit damp and it took a bit longer than it usually would.

"Zeta...?" I asked. She looked up at me and asked: "Yes?" But I sort of froze when her eyes looked into mine and I found myself lost in them once again. She raised an eyebrow as if to pull me out of her void and urge me to continue with my thought. "Um... well I know we sort of dropped this matter, but I just wanted to say..." I exhaled slowly "I'm really glad you trusted me about the whole Jessie situation. You know I would never hurt you... right?"

She looked away for a second, which kind of scared me at first. "Of course I do." My heart skipped a beat "Obviously, at first I was a little upset, but that was just the past knocking in my freaking head. It wasn't you at all. Just the thought and sound of her name bugs the crap out of me. But I trust you one hundred percent."

"I'm so happy to hear that." I beamed. "You mean everything to me, Zeta." We kissed and then she looked away for a second. Gathering her thoughts, I think.

"Not to be that typical girlfriend, but... I've really never understood why. I'm such a mess and I've always felt like I never brought anything into the relationship. You're such a giver, and as much as I tried to give back, it honestly cannot compare to all you gave me..."

I pushed a bundle of hair behind her ear and looked into her eyes. I knew that my next set of words would probably be the most important set of words I'll ever say in my entire life. "Well... not to be that typical cringe boyfriend in all those dumb rom-coms..." she chuckled "But the first moment I saw you. I felt a special connection- this... feeling I couldn't really understand. And I had never felt it with Jessie or anyone else ever. Every time I saw you behind that wooden fence my heart felt like it would fund out of my chest. And when you first confided in me, I felt like I needed to save you no matter whether you'd like me back or hate me or whatever. And, the way I see it, your past doesn't define you. I had strong feelings for you... and I chose to love you. Because I couldn't see myself loving anyone else. I don't care who you were or what problems you have because I love all of you."

Zeta started crying... happy tears, "Oh my gosh Jax, I love you too." I hate to admit it, but I sort of started crying too and we just sat there hugging and crying for a while until she broke the silence: "I-I don't even know what to say that could top that." we chortled "But I love you so much. Did you have this planned? Because that felt like a poem or some kind of wedding vow."

I shrugged, "Well... maybe. But that kind of brings me to an important question." She perked her head up, "What? What is it?" I beckoned her outside the car, "You have to come outside for it." She groaned, "Awe man... but I'm coldddd." I mocked a sad face by sticking out my lower lip, "Poor babbyyy." I smiled "C'mon pleeeeaaase? It'll be worth it... I promise."

She wrapped herself in the blankets and hopped out of the car. She came close to me and I stood behind her and I wrapped my hands around her and pointed to the moon, "Look at the big, beautiful full moon." She nodded, "Yeah... It seems brighter than usual."

I slowly let go of her, "Do you see a face in the moon?" She cocked her head to the side, eyes still on the moon, "A face?" I chuckled, "Yeah... you know, the man in the moon or whatever."

She whirled around, "Why are you talking about the moon so mu-" her expression changed. My heart was pounding. I was so nervous. I was on one knee with a box in my hand and in that box was the perfect ring. I obviously had input from my mom, but I felt like it was exactly what she would love.

Hopefully forever...

"Zeta Taylor..." she quietly gasped and kinda looked around for a second "Will you make me the happiest guy in the world and... marry me?"

She was quiet for a long time... it felt like a lot longer than it actually was and it made me so nervous. "She smiled and finally nodded, "Yes... of course I'll marry you." I beamed from ear to ear as I stood up and slid the ring on her finger. Then I put my hand in her hair and the other around her waist and pulled her closer to me so I could kiss her.

My fiancée...
