Chapter Nine: Kidnapped
Diana's POV
My eyes opened with fear as I turned my body, right away I relaxed. He was okay. I looked at the time on his phone on the nightstand, his screensaver was a default that was on the phone once you bought it. I scoffed before putting my attention to the numbers on the phone.
4:27 A.M.
I sighed rubbing my face and sitting up in the bed. I took Luca's phone again and slid it open. Huh, no password. I went to the camera and took a picture of me smiling with the flash on and put it as his lock screen and wallpaper. Much better.
My eyes went back to Luca as I watched him sleep, I kiss his cheek and felt him squirm from my touch. Slowly, I got out of the bed and went downstairs to grab a glass of water to help me fall back asleep. I hummed a tune quietly until I made it to the kitchen.
Blake snored loudly causing me to flinch from the sudden sound. Damn it, Blake. Shaking it off, I grabbed a glass from one of the cupboards filling it with tap water from the sink. With a couple of gulps, I downed the water, wiping my mouth from the excess water that drips from my chin.
My feet started to lead me back to the bed where Luca was, where I could feel the warmth of his body and his protective arms. As I started my way back to our room, I heard something break behind me.
My whole body froze, slowly turning around. A cold breeze rushed passed me causing me to yelp.
"Who's there?" My voice sounded strong, I didn't feel scared for some reason. Another cold breeze hit my body and I felt a wet rag cover my mouth. My muffled screams started to die down, my vision beginning to blur. The very last thing I heard was,
"It's okay, you're safe now."

Luca's POV
I moved my arm around, trying to bring Diana closer to me, the cold sheets indicating she wasn't in the bed with me. My eyes snapped open as I started to search for my mate with worry.
"Diana?"
Sniffing the air, I try to find her scent. Nothing. I jumped out of the bed, checking the bathroom.
"Diana?"
No response was heard, I felt my breaths become quick and short. Where was she? closing my eyes, I tried to calm myself down.
Maybe she was with Monica downstairs, cooking me breakfast. I nodded my head, calming down getting ready for the day.
I went to the bathroom, brushing my teeth, and washing my face. The fabulous outfit I chose today was a tight dark purple long-sleeved shirt with some black jeans.
I grabbed my phone heading out of my room with a smile on my face. I couldn't wait to see my mate again, sighing dreamily I continued down the stairs to the kitchen. I swung the door open, my smile fading right away.
Monica was sitting with a note in her hands as Blake held her in his arms. His head snapped to me, gulping with fright.
"What's wrong? Where's Diana?"
Blake let go of Monica standing in front of her in a protective manner.
"Luca, before you start freaking out, just know I don't think she did this."
I tightened my jaw, giving Blake a very cold stare.
"Blake I'm not asking again. Where is Diana?"
I saw him grab the note from his mate's hands, giving it to me.
Luca,
I'm sorry but I can't do this. I really tried, but this is way too much for me to handle. It might be better for both of us if we just forget everything. Again I'm really sorry. Please forgive and forget me.
Diana
The note fell out of my hands as I stared at Blake blankly, not blinking once. I was out of words, my emotions changing by the second. Jay whimpered loudly.
"Luca, why doesn't she want us?"
I shook my head, grunting.
"Jay, listen to me. I have a feeling this wasn't our Diana, she wouldn't do this to us. I know it."
Jay growled, wanting to come out. I tried fighting back but I couldn't. My teeth and eyes changed, along with my nails, I felt my bones crack as I was shifting in the kitchen.
I howled loudly, watching Blake slowly move back to Monica.
"Jay, let us speak with Luca."
"No." Blake sighed before speaking again.
"If you want to find Luna, we need to speak with Luca, I can't help you and neither can Mon if you won't allow us too."
I finally got control, cracking my neck side to side walking closer to Blake. I bit my lip, trying to prevent my self from shifting again.
"I need you to put the pack on lockdown, call pack warriors, we are having a search party right away."
"Monica, take a few warriors with you and check the neighboring packs. If you find anything, let me know as soon as possible."
They both nodded quickly before simultaneously saying,
"Yes, Alpha."
They ran out of the kitchen doing their duties. I breathed in heavily, glancing around the kitchen. She was definitely here last night.
Walking out of the kitchen, I started my way to my office, a foul smell stopping me in my tracks, my eyes turning black.
Chloroform.
My head snapped down to see nothing there. I took my phone out to see If I could find something with my flashlight. As I unlocked my phone, my eyes gazed longingly at my wallpaper.
Her smile, shining from the flash, her eyes closed tiredly and hair messy. My eyes shifted from her to the back of the photo. I saw a snip of my shoulder and the white sheets of our bed.
I put the phone closer to my face and my eyes widened at what I had seen. A black figure stood on our patio, as he faced my mate.
My phone is out of my grasp, the room was spinning around like a roller coaster. I roared fiercely running out of the house shifting into my large wolf. I ran and ran ignoring the voices of my pack members.
"Blake, tell the warriors to follow me, Diana has been kidnapped."
My paws hit the ground hard, leaving imprints in the damp dirt. Loud thuds sounded from behind me, letting me know that Blake and the warriors were following me. I ran faster pushing myself harder.
All I was left with was my thoughts, the thoughts of what could happen if I didn't find her fast enough.
Could she be tortured, killed? My wolf stopped in his tracks, sniffing the air. I knew he was thinking the same thing, my thoughts wanting him to end a life right then and there.
"Luca, Monica talked to Alpha Derek. He is creating a search party also."
I grunted, turning my body to face Blake's tan wolf. He was half my height, yet larger than most of the warriors.
"Have them meet me here. I'm heading to the other side of the forest to see if I can find her scent."
Blake's wolf, Cole moved closer to me, bowing his head in submission before running off. I sprinted the opposite direction trying to smell the soothing scent of my beautiful mate.
It's been less than a week and I've already lost her, why? What have I done wrong to deserve the amount of pain I have to go through every day, I'll never be happy, never feel joy until the end of a day.
There will always be something to hold that happiness back. I closed my eyes digging my claws into the ground, jumping across rivers and rocks.
I heard howls of multiple wolves from all around me letting me know that they all had heard the news.
I shift back into my human form, running nude in the forests we call home.
"DIANA!" I yelled at the top of my lungs.
It was quiet, the only sound was the echoes of my yelling and the birds flying away. I continued to walk further into the woods yelling once again.
"DIANA!"
"Luca, Monica has found something. Come quick! We will be at the Packhouse."
I sprinted, never looking back, hoping that Diana would be there waiting for me with open arms. I just wanted to see her face brighten up when she sees me.
Once I made it back to the packhouse, I broke down the door and stood tall trying to find Blake and Monica. Blake's eyes met mine as I saw him in just boxers. He ran to me with Monica following closely behind.
"Luca! Diana, she, Monica smelled her in the Moon's pack."
Moon's pack? That sounded familiar, too familiar. My eyes widened as I stared at Blake dumbfounded.
It was Xavier's pack. I sighed angrily, tugging on my hair while pacing back and forth. That bastard took her, he really thought he would get away with it?
"Luca, what should we do?"
Monica asked, grasping Blake's hand.
"We are going to kill him, that's what we are going to do," I said shoving my shoulder into my Beta's walking into my office without another word.
I saw Monica stand in front of me, preventing me from going up the stairs.
"Move out of the way," I mumbled.
She put her hands on her hips resting most of her weight on one leg.
"No. You can't just go and kill him, Diana wouldn't want that."
I rolled my eyes, pushing my way past her. She stood in my way again, giving me pleading eyes.
"Please, she would never forgive you. Trust me." I avoided eye contact, crossing my arms.
"Get the warriors ready, this is the beginning of the war he wanted." She gaped her mouth, before giving her attention to Blake who came and wrapped his arms around her waist.
The feeling of jealousy rose in me, as he had his mate by his side. I shook off the feeling preparing for the ambush.
After about 15 minutes, there was a knock on the backyard door causing me to jolt my head up. I went to open it to see James.
"Alpha, the warriors are ready and in formation. What shall we do?"
I shifted my eyes to check behind him, seeing a couple of hundred warriors standing and waiting for orders.
"Leave formation 1 here to protect the pack, except formations 2 and 3. Have them shift and make their way about a mile off to the Moon's pack."
He bowed his head, giving his full attention to the warriors.
I walked out of the Packhouse standing next to James.
"James, stay here and take care of the pack, Beta Blake and I will take the warriors to the Moon's pack ourselves."
He gave me a confused look,
"But Alpha-"
I gave him a cold stare.
"That's an order."
He gave me another look of defeat.
"Yes, Alpha."
I shrugged my shoulders slightly before whistling for all of the warriors to follow me. I saw Blake and Monica walk out of the house themselves.
"Blake, take formation 3 and take them towards the west side of their borders, I will take formation 2, leading them back to the north side. Wait for my call to attack, I will try to talk to him before anything becomes too hasty. Any questions?"
They both shook their heads going to their correct spots.
I led my warriors deeper into the forest, watching them all shift into their wolves, I felt my bones crack and change structure as Jay had begun taking over my whole body.
The cool air helped soothe the burning sensation of the shift. My paws hit the dirt ground before mind linking all the wolves behind me.
"Let's go. Follow my lead." A few wolves howled in response.
Don't worry Diana, I'm coming.
