Synopsis

Three years ago, they shared a single date—brief, electric, and yet something that could never have a future. Life had other plans. No promises, no hard feelings. Just a memory that lingered like a song you can't quite forget and one that you don't actively remember. 

Now, out of nowhere, he calls. She answers.

What follows is a quiet unraveling of what was, what could've been, and what still might be. Is this fate correcting its course—or just a glitch in the algorithm of longing? Almost Something is a story of missed chances, emotional echoes, and the fragile line between closure and connection.

Author's Note

It's been a while. Life threw me into its own wild plot twists I didn't see coming, chapters I didn't plan for. One year really is enough to change a person. I believe that now.

Still, there are parts of you life can't take away. I hope writing is one of mine.

I know I've left behind a trail of unfinished works, and maybe I'll return to them someday... or maybe not. Life's taught me that not everything follows the outline you draft. But for now, here's something. A short story, soulful and quiet, shared all at once—as a small thank you for your patience and presence.
