DREAM
Had a dream that we had some new neighbors next door.  Among them were a group of people my age.  One girl in particular was notorious for burglary, and someone told me she had plans to steal stuff from my room. I spent the rest of the dream preparing by hiding most of my money in random places.  However, I still left a few bucks where I usually keep it so that she'd be tricked into thinking she'd found it all (no idea if that works irl.) I planned to monitor my house from a distance and report her when it happened.  It was really strange.

RIOT
When I woke up, I found news of a riot that took place nearby.  Yesterday evening, there had been a peaceful protest in the form of a silent march.  A few people I know attended and shared their experiences.  Unfortunately, after the protest, a violent group arrived.  They vandalized the area, smashed windows, looted businesses, and set cars on fire.  The police came and eventually had to use tear gas.  This morning, many people, once again including some of my acquaintances, volunteered to help clean up the mess.
I'll share my thoughts at the end.  You don't have to read them if you don't want to.

LUNCH
I woke up pretty (very) late today, so one of the first things I did was order lunch for me and my sisters (my parents let me yay!!!) We got pizza and the delivery driver complimented my mom's flowers.  That was so sweet!

BRACELET
Worked on a bracelet on and off.

HAIR
Also worked on doll hair on and off.  Nothing is working to get the frizz out and it's making me sad.

FATIGUE
In the afternoon and evening, I had a ton of fatigue.  Tonight's event is being rescheduled (likely due to current events,) but thankfully it gave me an opportunity to rest (and some others, too!) The new date will be much better.

DINNER
My parents got takeout for dinner.

BIRTHDAY
After a while, my mom, my sisters, and I went to my aunt's house to celebrate her birthday for a bit.  People had been coming and going throughout the day, and there were lawn chairs spread out on the driveway.  There was also cake and chips.  My aunt loved the painting I made:

Even though we only got to stay for a short time, we had fun.  My aunt is a great person and I'm glad her birthday went well!

YOUTUBE
Now that I'm home, I've been watching YouTube and stuff.  Not very exciting LOL.

YOU
How are you today?

THOUGHTS
Here are my thoughts about the riots.  Feel free to disagree and share your opinion.  I know that as a white person, my perspective may be different than others and I may be missing something.  If you'd like to discuss this, I'm open.
I can understand why some people would resort to violence.  It's a way to express years of being worn down by oppression, to fight back.  However, history has shown that it isn't always necessary.  One example I've seen shared recently is Martin Luther King Jr.  Another is Rosa Parks.  When we tear things down, when we destroy, it may feel like something is being done, but it's a quick fix.  It's fleeting.  And ultimately, we're hurting ourselves.  We look unreasonable.  We encourage more violence from all sides.  Plus the resources that we use are being taken away.  One office that was destroyed yesterday was the DMV.  A museum also suffered damage.  Police will spend more time trying to fight violence than help those who may need it.  Businesses we support will be trying to recover from destruction.  And there are people affected by what we do.  Bystanders.  Shop owners.  Employees.  Countless others.
A quote:
"An eye for an eye makes the whole world blind." -Mahatma Gandhi
In my opinion, the best thing we can do is find a new way to express our pain.  One that doesn't involve hurting others and ourselves.  Research.  Find good, credible articles.  Share your thoughts and spread awareness.  Attend peaceful protests and build alliances with the people around you.  Donate.  Sign petitions.  Those things will have a lasting impact, one that is much more positive than any kind of violence.
Once again, please feel free to share your thoughts.  I'm eager to hear what you have to say, even if you disagree.
Thank you for reading.  Please stay safe and keep spreading awareness.
