When Yoongi came back that day, his mom was home.

Odd... She's usually not home for another hour??

"Ah, Yoongi! Come have a seat! We need to talk about something."

Yoongi made his way over to his mom and sat down cautiously.

"So your professor called yesterday-"

She paused when she saw Yoongi's face go pale, then red.

"Sweetie, are you okay?"

"Please don't get mad! It won't happen again, I swear!" Yoongi was scared. Now she would be even more mad about it since she had to find out from someone else! "I'm sorry, please don't hate me..."

Mrs. Min was taken aback. She knew that he would be scared when she brought it up, but she didn't know it would be this bad.

Is this what goes through his head all the time?

"Yoongi, sweetie, I could never hate you. Sure, we were a little upset when we found out, but we talked it over, and now we have an idea to motivate you."

Said boy was now trying to say something, but he couldn't form the words. He always got like this when he thought he was in trouble. He gets so vulnerable that it just makes it so hard to stay mad at him. Mrs. Min sighed and went to get him some water. When he finished drinking, she started again.

"Since your laptop is completely dead now, we will get you a new one. But, that's all we will do."

"W-what do you mean?" Are they going to get me a laptop and then kick me out!?

"Shh, don't be scared. It's okay," Mrs. Min said as she held his hand and rubbed comforting circles on the back of it. "What we decided is that you will get your own job and pay your own tuition. That way, you might feel more responsible and dedicated to your classes since you will be paying for them."

That relaxed Yoongi a little. At least he wouldn't be kicked out. But...

"What if I don't make enough?"

"Because there's not a lot of time left until the next semester, we will pay half of your tuition for next semester. After that, you will be responsible for paying your tuition. Does that sound okay?"

Yoongi nodded, and the two talked it out a little more before heading out to get a new laptop for him. On the way, they talked a lot about a lot. Eventually, they found a nice, simple laptop (Yoongi didn't like to be too fancy) that wasn't unreasonably expensive. In fact, it was really cheap. Almost suspiciously so...

"Excuse me, is there anything wrong with this laptop?" Mrs. Min asked the cashier.

"Mm, no. Is there a problem with it?"

"No, I was just wondering why it was so cheap. Any reason?"

Up until now, the cashier hadn't really looked up, but once he did see the laptop in question, his eyes widened. "O-oh! That laptop was sold before, but it was returned!"

Mrs. Min furrowed her brows at the cashier's fake cheeriness. It took everything in her power to not visibly cringe at the sudden fake chipper voice. "Why?"

"Nothing wrong with it! It just... ah um... wasn't what they were looking for!"

Mrs. Min was getting a bit frustrated now, but Yoongi leaned into her ear and whispered, "It's okay, we can just return it if there's something wrong with it," to which she nodded. Then she noticed a little red sticker on the side of the laptop.

"What's this?"

"Oh, that's just how we keep track of the used devices."

"Yeah, okay, just hurry up and check us out. We have places to be."

"Yes ma'am!"

When Yoongi and his mom left, the cashier breathed a sigh of relief. Finally, that horrid thing is gone.

-back at home-

Yoongi and his mom had spent a long time looking through the entire laptop, all its files, and anything else they could think of. Still, the only odd thing they found was that there were already two accounts on the laptop. One under the name of 'Park Jimin' and another under the name of 'Guest'. They couldn't get into the Park Jimin one, but the other one didn't have a password, so they used that one. They would've made another account just to be safe, but it seemed as if the Park Jimin account was the administrator account, and they would have to get into it to make a new account on the laptop.

"I think it looks fine, what about you?"

"I don't know. I don't see anything odd except that other account. It should be fine, but if you notice anything weird, let me know immediately."

Mrs. Min left the room, and Yoongi went to sleep after putting the laptop in the charging so it could charge overnight. Probably not good to keep it in there for so long, but it was just once, so it should be fine, right?

When Yoongi fell asleep, the laptop spurred to life.

'The idiot didn't even close the laptop, ha!' the being named Park Jimin thought to himself. 'This is going to be fun.'
