It Could Work

"8 more weeks!" Rosie squealed.
Marco was barely through the door, when Rosie ran up and hugged him. He picked her chin up and kissed her.
"How's my two favorite girls?" He asked, while putting his hand on her stomach. She quickly hit his hand away then glared at him.
"You don't know how annoying that is. Anyway, to answer your question, I'm doing fine. This one," she pointed to her stomach, "is having fun sitting on my bladder." She frowned and then wrapped her arms around Marcos waist.
"Well, I bought you something." He told her, moving over to the table.
"Oh, you didn't have to do that. But what is it?" She took the bag and opened it to see an album that said family.
"Aww, that's cute. What's it for?" She picked it up and looked through it.
"Well I was thinking that we could make an album for the baby, so that when she's older she can see pictures of us and her." Marco opened the first page to show her that he had put the ultrasound pictures in it. Rosie smiled and looked up at him. He could tell that she had some tears in her eyes.
"I love that idea. I think we should put a picture of me with my bump in here."
"I mean we have plenty of those." Rosie laughed at that and then gave him a peck on the lips. Rosie wiped the tears away and then put the album on the bookshelf.
"Ok, now can we make dinner?"
Marco looked at the clock. "It's only 2:45."
"Oh. . . yeah I guess it is. Well I'm really hungry and so is baby girl." Marco laughed at her.
"We still need a name for her."
"I thought we agreed on two, didn't we?" She asked while walking into the kitchen.
"Sure, but we still need to actually pick one." He reminded her.
"Well, why can't we use both of them?" Rosie asked, while taking out a bowl and cereal from the cabinet.
"I didn't think you wanted to do that. What if the names don't fit together?"
        "What are the names?"
Marco grabbed his phone to look at what they were. "Arabella and Rain." Rosies eyes lit up at those names.
"That would be gorgeous!" She squealed.
"What? Those names? Together?" He asked.
"Yes! That's perfect!" She went over to the kitchen table and then went over to face him.
"Arabella Rain?" He thought about that name combination again.
"Yes it works! Arabella means beautiful and Rain is just a pretty name and it works with Arabella."
"Yeah I guess it does." Rosies eyes lit up again.
"Does this mean yes?" She asked.
"We'll see." He gave out a laugh. She glared at him.

Rosie finished eating and then went to sit next to Marco.
"What are you doing?" She asked, as she put her head on his shoulder and her hand around her stomach.
"I get paternity leave, so I'm just looking at what my schedule is."
"Oh. So when do you get off?" She asked while trying to look at his computer screen.
"A day before your due date. If you're early I get off that day but it means I go back earlier."
"When exactly would you go back?" She tried to figure out.
"When's your due date? The 5th?"
"Yeah." She answered while she put her hand in his.
He laughed and then looked at her. "Are you alright?"
"Yeah. why wouldn't I be?" She asked with a confused expression on her face.
"Well, you seem very clingy today." He told her.
"Oh. I just want to be with you. Maybe it's hormones. I am, almost in my 8th month. Well when would you go back?"
He turned his head back to look at his computer. "I guess 3 weeks after you give birth." They both thought about that for a few minutes.
"But would it really be a huge difference from when my original due date is?"
"No. But it would mean that I get 4 weeks off."
         "Oh."
"But it really depends on when you give birth."
"That's true. What if I'm late?"  She asked while trying to scroll down on the computer to see more.
"I guess if you're more then a week late, then I'll just go back to work and take off the time I would originally get. I could also just take those weeks off." He told her.
"But you wouldn't get paid, and I'll have already been out of work for 3 weeks by my due date and I'm not getting paid for that. I have maternity leave starting a week before my due date but I thought, just in case, to take those weeks off." She explained.
"Well, we don't have to think about it yet. Let's just wait and see. Now, should we just order pizza?"
Rosie smiled at him. "I'm not complaining about that." They both giggled and then Marco gave her a quick peck on the lips.

Once they got the pizza, they decided to relax and eat on the couch, while watching a movie. Rosie put her feet up on Marcos lap, like she usually does, and used her bump as a table.
Rosie complained about how her hands and feet were bigger since she was in her last trimester. Luckily for her Marco is a very patient person. Especially after waiting months to finally go out with her a few years back.

After they finished eating, Rosie snuggled up close to him and put her head on his shoulder again and Marco put a blanket on top of them. Marco rubbed her feet for her since he could tell they were swollen.
"Did you think about the names anymore?" She asked him.
He smiled at her. "I think that it could work."
          "Really?!" She squealed.
"Yeah."
"Thank you!" She told him as she gave him a hug.
She gave him a kiss and then went back to snuggling up against his side.

They spent the rest of the night relaxing together, since they both knew the happier Rosie was, the healthier the baby would be.
