Chapter 9

Lucas POV
Our plan was perfect. I was going to whip Oliver, make him fall, and Will was going to put him in a net made from the leaves. There would be not escape. Will knew the spell to send Oliver away forever. It was a perfect plan. I got in my stance. The whip was ready. Will would run by any minute. I stood there and waited.

Will came running and so did Oliver I whipped him with a hard force and he fell to his knees. The net went over him. "Ghost be gone because of your deeds. Be gone, oh be gone from us forever. No more," Will said. "No!" Oliver screamed. He started to disappear. We all watched. The wolves disappeared too. We all cheered. Oliver was gone. But something was missing.

I turned to the spot Isabel had been. She was gone. "Isabel?" I asked. "Will, you sent Isabel away!" I cried. I fell to my knees. "I'm sorry," he said, "I really am." I stared at the ground. She was gone. Will took out the spell book. There's always a way to reverse it," he said. I wasn't sure he was sure. I promised her we would be together. Together. Not apart.
I stared at the ground a bit longer and looked up.

"Bring back, oh bring back the ghost Isabel, Isabel, Isabel, bring her back to us," Will said. The world's pieces were put back together and a strange light filled the forest. The birds started to sing and the wind rustled the leaves. Isabel started to appear. "Lucas," she said. She ran to me. "You did it!" she exclaimed, "You did it! You did it!" She pretended to hug me. Will smiled at us. Isabel hugged him too. "You helped too," she said. We all smiled at each other. The towns people went with us to the town. The mayor led the crowd. "Let's celebrate!" he yelled. The crowd cheered. Isabel was able to come out of the forest. "It feels good to be out of that forest," she said. "I bet," I replied.

"Celebration time, come on!" sang people as music filled the air. "Can ghosts dance?" I asked. "Oh yeah," Isabel replied. We danced it out. A happy ending was coming our way. Suddenly, the slow song came on. Everyone grabbed partners and began to dance. "Care to dance?" I asked, jostling my hand out. She took it. We had to pretend though. We danced across the roads and sidewalks. After all, the party was outside. We danced and danced. Isabel knew I cared and I knew she cared. We stopped dancing. I pretended to hold her hands. We leaned in for a kiss. But as our lips touched, I felt her hands, her lips. I felt her. We brown apart. She wasn't a ghost. "How do you feel?" I asked. "Amazing," she replied. She hugged me. "Thank you," she whispered, "Thanks so much." "I told you I would save you," I replied.
