Chapter 1
Isabel POV
"Do you come here for me?" I asked, "Or just my gifts?" "I come here for you," said Oliver. I looked down. His fingers were twitching. That meant he lied. "You don't care about me!" I screamed. I looked at him and ran into Ghost Woods. I wanted to be away from Oliver. I wished someone would love me though. But nobody loves a ghost. I ran deeper and deeper. I heard Oliver running after me. Tears were streaming down my cheeks. I thought I could have love. I thought Oliver was my love. I cared for him! He just wanted my gifts. He wanted to use me to get the ability to use fire, nature, and water. "Isabel, wait!" called Oliver. I couldn't look at him. I just ran away. Into the woods until he was gone.

500 years later...
Lucas POV
"This day couldn't be better," I said to Will, my best friend. "Yeah. I still can't believe you won the bike race," he said. "Well, you'll win a running contest own day," I said. He shrugged. "I really like the festival they have for bikers," he said, "They even have bike shaped chocolate!" he exclaimed. His brown eyes seemed to sparkle and his brown hair seemed to go with his chocolate-loving personality. My blonde hair and blue eyes didn't scream chocolate. It wasn't my favorite food anyway. "Dude, look at that fountain!" Will said. I looked at it. It was huge. All the people were surrounding it. "This is the fountain dedicated to the ghosts of Ghost Woods," said the mayor, a man with brown hair and green eyes, "and please don't go in. You don't want to disturb the ghosts."
"I don't think there are ghosts," Will said, "They are just legends." "Don't say that young man," said the mayor. The crowd turned to us. "The great Oliver knew one, and she just wanted him to make her human again. "Why is she a ghost?" someone in the crowd asked. "It's a long and terrible story," said the mayor. "Tell it!" demanded the crowd. "Okay," said the mayor, "It started long ago. Nobody knows the exact date, but a family of four moved into the town. According to legend, they were magic. The father could control fire, the mother could control nature, the son could control water, and the daughter could control all three. The towns people complained about the girl in school. The son was homeschooled so nobody worried about him. The daughter had two friends, but the friends' parents thought that the daughter would curse the family. Suddenly, one of the friends got really ill. So, the towns people took the girl from her school and led her to the jail. They had found on old spell book to curse her with. They thought the girl had cursed her friend. They used the curse of a ghost on her and cursed her to stay on this island forever."
Silence filled the air. I was amazed. If she was a ghost, I wanted to meet her. "Oh by the way," said the mayor, "there is another story with her. It is with the great Oliver. He used to go out and see her everyday. He wanted to be a hero by getting her gifts and sending her away. He acted like he was in love with her, but she caught on. She ran away and he cursed her to stay in the woods so that way she couldn't hurt anybody in her anger." "That's cruel!" I yelled. "Shush boy," said the mayor. "She shouldn't have to go through this!" I yelled, "She could of been innocent!" Storm clouds started to roll in. "A wizard!" screamed the crowd. They surrounded me and started to bring me to the woods.
