Eden laid in the flower field the young children and giddy laughter long gone as she stared up at the starry night sky. She wasn't thinking of anything specific and she soon began counting the stars and smiling when she knew each constellation. She stayed awake counting each and every star until the black sky turned to a bright blue and the stars were replaced by a bigger and brighter star. She sighs as she sits up from her laying position and leans her head back feeling the warmth of the sun on her skin. Her peaceful time was over when she heard a twig snap causing Eden to turn towards the sound with narrowed eyes.

There stood a tall unfamiliar man with golden brown skin, pitch black hair, warm honey colored eyes, and a reassuring smile was on his face. Eden slowly stands up and keeps her eyes on the smiling man who walks towards her.

"Who are you?" Eden curiously asks causing the stranger to chuckle

"You do not know me my child but I know you" The man softly says making Eden even more confused

"Is there something you need help with?.." Eden asks still confused as to why there was a complete stranger here with her.

"It's time for you to awaken" The man says and sends Eden a reassuring and warm smile

"Remember that you are strong and loved " The man softly says and snaps his fingers

All of a sudden she couldn't see anything but bright lights and she felt like she couldn't breath. Her eyes squinting at the bright light and her eyebrows furrow as a blurred figure appeared above her. The blurred figure seemed panicked and starts yelling something that was muffled to Eden. Next thing she knows two more blurred figures appeared above her, one holding her hand and staring at her while the other held something in their hands and let trying to speak to her.

"Ms. Hargreaves can you hear me?" The blurred figure asks and Eden slowly nods, her brain comprehending the words that came out of the women's mouth. She blinks a couple of time and realizes the blurred figures were Blake, Allison, and a nurse.

"Ms. Hargreeves you will have to stay still for this next part okay?" The nurse asks and waits for Eden to nod her head.

Eden stays still and grips Blake's hand tighter as the nurse takes something out of her mouth causing Eden to cough once it was fully out. The nurse immediately hands her a cup of water and Eden sends the nurse a thankful smile as she fills the water down.

"How are you feeling Ms. Hargreeves?" The nurse asks

"I'm feeling fine just a bit confused" Eden hoarse voice replies as she drinks more water

"Ms. Hargreeves you were shot twice and went into a coma for a short period of time." The doctor gently explains to Eden what happened

"H-how long was I out?" Eden stutters in fear that the apocalypse would be tomorrow.

"Almost a full week" the doctor says and Edens eyes widen, okay they still had time to stop the apocalypse.

"Oh" she mutters and stares down at her hands

" I'm just going to take a few test and than we'll keep you overnight to see if you are ready to go home" the doctor says and takes a few test before leaving the three alone

"Are you hungry Eden?" Allison asks and Eden nods her head

"I'll go and get you something to eat" Allison says and leaves the two best friends

Eden glances up at Blake who purses his lips and sends her a disapproving glance.

"You should have just stayed home or I should have came sooner because I had a gut a feeling this would happen. You always seem to get into trouble or you always get hurt when I'm not around." Blake huffs and crosses his arms

"I'm sorry Blake" Eden mumbles with a frown

"I didn't mean to get hurt and I'm sorry for worrying you" Eden quietly says with her eyes downcast causing Blake to sigh

"It's okay Eden" Blake says and gives Eden a small smile

"I would love for you to come back home with me when you get discharged and I can make sure you stay safe" Blake smiles and Eden tenses at his words

She couldn't leave her siblings or Five to prevent the apocalypse by themselves but she didn't exactly want to leave her best friend. Eden sighs and turns towards Blake with a small smile and squeezes his hand.

"I'm sorry Blake but I still have family business that needs to be taken care of but I promise as soon as it's over I'll be on our couch with a big box of your favorite pizza and candies." Eden proposes with a small smile and Blake shakes his head

"Nope I am not leaving your side if you're staying than I'm staying" Blake stubbornly says with his arms crossed and his eyes closed

"Blake I don't know if that's a good idea" Eden frowns as she thinks of all the danger that Blake could be put in

"I don't care I'm staying with you until you come back home and make sure that you stay safe and uninjured" Blake says with determination

"You win" Eden says in defeat and promises to herself that she won't let anything happen to Blake

"When do I not?" Blake smirks and Eden snorts

"When you tried to win me that huge panda and became all sad and grumpy when you couldn't win it for me" Eden smiles at the memory causing Blake to glare

"I still got you the panda" Blake mutters

"Yeah sure I saw you slip a twenty to the guy" Eden laughs and Blake's eyes light up at the sound

"You really wanted the panda" Blake shrugs and Eden smiles

"I still have Mr. Boo" Eden proudly states and Blake smiles

"I know we live together" Blake says with a smile causing Eden to nod her head

"I missed you Blake" Eden quietly says

"I missed you to Eden" Blake pulls Eden into a comforting hug and Eden smiles at the smell of his calming cologne.

"I promised I would protect you and never leave you and I plan to keep my promise" Blake mumbles into the hug tightening his grip around her.

"I really am sorry I stressed you out Blake" Eden apologizes into the embrace of her best friend not wanting to let go

"It's okay just don't scare me like that again, okay?" Blake quietly says as he remembers the panic and fear he felt when he got the phone call from the hospital.

"I won't" Eden promises and squeezes her best friend before letting go and sending him a grin

"I wouldn't know what I would do without you around. So quite getting yourself hurt or you'll give me a heart attack one day!" Blake exclaims causing Eden to giggle

"I promise I won't get hurt anymore and I will not leave you" Eden promises as she extends her pinky to make the promise.

Blake smiles softly at the black haired beauty and gently entwines their pinkies sealing the promise with an adoring look in his eyes. He was completely in love with his best friend and Eden was very oblivious to the loving glances and adoring smiles he sent her.

Allison watched their interaction from the door with a small smile on her face. It was obvious that Blake has fallen in love with Eden and to be honest Allison herself was rooting for him. She knew her sister was still hung up on Five but hopefully Eden would realize that Blake was in love with her and they would start dating. Allison trusted Blake completely, he was always by Edens side, takes care of her, attends every fashion event, nurses her back to health when she's sick or injured, and he was always gentle with her.

Blake helps Eden eat her food and arranges her pillows so that she would be comfortable enough to sleep. He sat beside Eden as he ran his hand through her hair lulling her into a calming sleep.

Blake softly gazes at Eden and smiles when she tightens her hand around his. He just hoped she realizes sooner that he was completely in love with her.

I am so sorry I haven't updated in forever but I'm just losing inspiration for this book and it's getting harder to write the chapters. Do not worry though because I plan on finishing the book and getting through season one.
