"Oh, me? We'll, I was, just, uh, at the market! Like I said! You should've looked harder!" Kanae defends, crossing her arms. Takahashi gritted his teeth, his eyes now glowing venomous green. Kanae smiled weakly, terrified. He sneered even more, still burning with rage, before he seemed to cool down.

Kanae took the eerie silence as a checkmate. He smirked, and bent down to her height "The wedding is tomorrow. I've already told everyone that it's tomorrow," he says. Kanae gasps, "But, you said, that it would be in three days!" she exclaimed, pushing him away.

"Aww, Whatcha' gonna do? Cry about it?" he asks, fake whimpering.  Kanae turned, tears in her eyes. Takahashi sighs, "Why did I not expect this?" he complains, trying to give her a hug. She slaps him. He stumbles back, gripping his cheek in pure shock. He feels a warm, sticky substance drip of his face. He guess Kanae had scratched him while she slapped him. Kanae. He turns his attention, glaring daggers at fiancé.

He mumbles a few slurs, but Kanae speaks up, "You think this is something laughable?! That you can make me love you by being a bitch and then apologizing whenever you please?! If you think so, you might as well dump me, you bastard!" she yells, veins popping in her face.

Kitsune gaped in shock, not believing that 'his' sweet little flower had just said that to him. Kanae swallowed, still crying, "There's no way out, huh?" she says suddenly, slumping to the floor, her legs flanking either side of her. She puts her hands to her face, weeping. Takahashi smirked, victorious.

"Kanae, love, one more thing." he says, roughly grabbing her hand. Kanae tries to fight him, but he's too strong to pull away. Kanae follows him sadly. He's trying to take her to her room, for some reason. They go up the stairs. Kitsune looks back at her, but she looks away. Once they get up the stairs, he throws her against the wall.

"You bitch, look at me," he says coldly. Kanae turns her head, facing him. He scoffs, pressing his hand tightly, slightly suffocating her, before he pulled away, grumbling. At this point, Kanae was shaking with pure fear. She wanted to just go to Sanemi and his family. Where she could smile and blush, no faking whatsoever.

Even her own house was hell. Kitsune roamed like a lost puppy, sneering and yelling at the maids. But, whenever her parents were home, he was a complete angel. Softly speaking and shyly asking the maids for help when he needed it. He stopped, jolting her out of her thoughts. He didn't take her to the room, but the closet next to her room.

"What were you hiding?" he asks, stopping his hand on the door. Kanae looks up, alarmed, "What?" she questions. Kitsune purses his lips, "The book," he says. Kanae smiles fakely, "Oh, When I was looking for a broach, I saw a book I wanted, and bought it from him. But, his memory was failing miserably, so that's probably why he said he didn't see me," Kanae says, saving herself smoothly. She was so lucky to have stuffed it into the back of her obi

Kitsune studies her, before madly looking away. He through the door open and stepped back. "Here, Kanae" he says, looking sideways. Kanae looks, to see a white dress with a low dip in the collar, revealing a large portion of the Mannequin's chest. The dress was supported by a thin strap that ran over it's shoulder. At the ends, small white butterflies were imprinted on it. It went down to her ankles, with a long train of white lace.

Kanae realized. This was her wedding dress. He was actually expecting them to get married. Kanae sighed, turning. "It's lovely, Takahashi," she says, gritting her teeth. Takahashi swallows, leaning against the wall, "You should get sleep so you look decent tomorrow," he huffs oddly, looking down.

"O- Okay ... ?" Kanae says, confused. She turns to her door, and shuts it roughly. She walks over to her bed, and plops down. She sighs, taking the diary from her obi. She lightly hides it in her drawer. Sniffing with sadness, she goes to the bathroom to take a shower.

As she's washing herself, she hears screams from downstairs. 'Who could be making that sound?' she thought. Could a maid have found a flying cockroach? It would make sense. If she'd seen one, she would freak out too! She turns the knob, leaving her in steamy mist. She squeezes her hair, and wraps a towel around her body.

As she walks out, she feels a strong sense to go down, just to see what was wrong. She takes off her towel and puts on her nightgown. She walked down the stairs quietly, not daring to make a wooden tile squeak. She went to the kitchen, where she could hear talking.

"M- master Kitsune, please. I'm 33, and you're 16. AND, you have a fiancé, this is terribly inappropriate," A voice cries out, female and terrified. She peaks over the corner to see Kotoha, pinned on the counter by none other than Kitsune.

"And? I've been busy with Suzuki for months now, and she's, at least 38," he says, not letting her go from the position. Kotoha tried to push him off, but he kept tight, "If you don't, I'll tell everyone you have a big, fat, juicy crush on that little priest, what's his name, Douma?" he asks, threating her.

Kotoha looks to her side, considering this. He loosens his grip as she looks up at him helplessly. She uses this to get away, "Tell them!" she yells boldly, "Tell them all I like him, I couldn't give a damn!" she says, running to the front of the house. Takahashi scoffs indignantly, watching her flee.

"Someone!" he yells out. Within three seconds, a shaky-looking maid comes out, "Yes, master Takahashi," she says, looking down, scared to look into his lethal green eyes and face his wrath. He folds his arms, leaning on the counter, "Where is Suzuki?" he asks coolly. The maid's face changes, "She ran away, we don't know why," she added.

He cringes, "You're dismissed," he says. As the maid walks away, Kanae breath gets heavy. He was a lying, slutty snake, before they even met. She quivered, running away silently. She nearly slipped on the stairs, so caught up in her thoughts she couldn't stay in the moment. She lightly closed her door, and sat on her bed.

Instead of crying, she smiles softly. He'd been cheating on her all this time, so she would return the favor. This was his, she smiles at the thought, Big mistake. She smirks victoriously as she goes to sleep, Sanemi and happiness awaiting in her future.

Pain.

Pain on his back

The same pain he felt when his father threw the nearest object at him when his back would turn. The same lashing feeling that happened when his father beat him, continuously hitting him with anything painful until he broke a rib and was too hurt to stay conscious.

His back

His weak spot.

Reminding his of what happened so long ago.

Sanemi shoots up from his bed, huffing in pain. He whips around to see a pen, it's tip sharp, poking him all through his short sleep. He rub's his eyes weakly, looking at his window. Day, he thought. Something felt off, missing, even. He remembers, gaping at nothing in shock.

~ Flashback ~

"Sanemi!" A voice yells as he returns to his house. He closes the door, then looks around. He sees Masachika running up to him hastily, an expression of pure grim masking his usual smiling face. "What's wrong?" Sanemi asks as he gets to him, huffing. "Takahashi moved the wedding date to tomorrow! Without letting Kanae know!" he says.

Sanemi's eyes widen. He was in love with a girl who, at this point, was basically married to Mr. Devil! He kissed her! Not even 30 minutes ago! "No! No! No! NO!" Sanemi repeats in shock, dropping to the floor in sadness, his hands flying to his head. Masachika looks down, realizing something, "Sanemi, be completely honest with me," he says, their purple eyes meeting, "You like Kanae, don't you> You act so different around her, Nemi. Like you love her" he says.

Sanemi shuts his eyes tightly, before looking up. He can't let him know, "Idiot! No way I'd love her!" he shouts, looking down. Masachika goes down next to him, lightly grabbing his wrists. "You do, don't you." he says quietly after Sanemi stopped shouting. Sanemi's lip quivers, and he nodes dejectedly. "Oh, Sanemi," Masachika says, putting him in a tight embrace.

~ End ~

He gets up, gets dressed, and goes downstairs. He see's no ones down yet, so he goes to get cereal. As he pours it, he hears a knock. He looks up, alarmed. He walks over wearily toward the door. He puts his hand on the knob, and opens it.

Kanae stands there. Sanemi looks down at her, surprised she isn't getting ready for the wedding. "Kanae-" he says. Kanae pushes him to the floor. From the floor, he looks up at her, "What made you come here?" he asks. Kanae stepped in, and threw herself on top of him. She kisses him, her hands running across his face.

Sanemi grips back, turning them over, giving him the top position. He holds his hands to her waist, supporting her. He didn't need to fear. Even if he needed to, he couldn't. When she was around, he was happy and problem free. He needed her here, kissing him, holding him, loving him. That's all he needed. And it was all they were.

Two teenagers, not thinking of their future, just each other. Two teenagers, not caring about the consequence of their actions. Two teenagers, drunk on affection and need. Just two not-so-average teenagers, in love.
