CHAPTER ONE — WHO ¹¹³¹ʷ
september 12th, 2016, 22:37

Taeyong walked through the school gates into a large courtyard. The sun was shining, and few clouds littered the beautiful sky. "Today will be a new day" he thought to himself, re-checking the keys and schedule the school office had given him.

Turning left once he'd reached the fountain, he slugged his backpack which was on his shoulder- and pulled his suitcase over the well-rounded pavement. It was really beautiful here- he thought, humming lazily to himself as he took in the scenery around him.

It was landscaped much better than his old school, and there were hushed conversations all over the campus. It was early. Maybe seven a.m. Today was just an unpacking and tour day for any new kids- along with the older's coming back for their last few years, or year- here.

Delusional in his own mind, Taeyong didn't realize there was a person in the path in front of him- and he walked right into his back. Letting out an awkward yelp, he pulled back quickly as the taller figure turned around.

He had reddish-brown hair, and very cold stare. "Watch where you're going." ignoring the hostility in his tone, Taeyong quickly apologized and contained on his way. He'd learned from previous experiences that you shouldn't fight fire with fire.

Pushing through the dorms glass doors, he looked around for the elevator before pressing the up arrow and waiting for it to come down. He continued to glance at his keys and papers nervously- this would be the start of a whole new experience for him.

Especially since the farthest he'd been from his mother in the past few years was fifteen minutes. Now he must be at least two-three hours away. Taeyong liked being near what family he had left.

Hearing the ding, he blinked hurriedly before stepping in and pressing 14. "Top floor, fancy." Getting caught up in his own thoughts, he didn't realize more people had gotten into the elevator with him.

He soon recognized both of them as "Jeno" and "Renjun". Seeing as both names came up multiple times. They also went up to the 14th floor with him- and he got out after them.

Peering around the doors, he looked for the one with the numbers '127' on it. Taeyong paced up and down the hallway at least three times until he realized it wasn't down the main hall. but in a section with three other doors in the back corner of the floor.

Grabbing the keys from his back pocket, he anxiously unlocked the door and entered his dorm.

It looked cozy- there was a small kitchen to the immediate left, along with a washroom to the right. Dropping his bags momentarily beside the now closed door- Taeyong took in the new views in awe. Reality never seemed to come to him well. And he would always be amazed by both new and old things alike.

Hearing the door- that most likely lead to the bedroom- squeak open, he quickly turned his head in the direction of who he assumed to be his room mate. His jaw dropped.

"My precious son!" Taeyong almost screeched- most likely attracting the attention of the neighbouring students as he practically flung himself on WinWin.

"Why didn't you call me?" "What happened when you went back to China?" "You lost weight!" The older boy unknowingly bombarded his old best friend with questions and concerns. WinWin laughed awkwardly as the other let go of him, carefully wording his sentence, "Um, one of my friends my broke phone. I didn't save data- and lost my contacts."

Taeyong chuckled at his slightly broken Korean. He'd certainly improved in the past few years, but it still needed adjustments.

"Well I'm so glad you're back- are you new here?" Taeyong sat down on one of the couches in the living room. "I came last year. My old roommate Seokjin graduated last year." he shrugged, moving to throw out some papers

"You should unpack, tours start at twelve. Everything on the left side is free for your use." WinWin said before looking through the fridge. Taeyong simply nodded and once again grabbed his bags- slipping into the recently cleaned room.

It smelt like honey and cinnamon- as he remembered it was Winnie's favourite scent- and everything looked shiny and new.

It took him the five hours just to make sure his clothes and shoes were in the right place, then the next hour to assure his personal belongings weren't going to fall behind his bed.

WinWin gestured for him to leave, seeing as he had like two minutes to get to the school entrance. Nodding goodbye to the blond boy, he took the elevator and almost ran to the school doors.

There were lots of younger students waiting, and he chuckled at the sight. He was probably one of the oldest here, and he glanced around at them all.

Getting lost in his thoughts was easy- and he zoned out for a minute before another blond boy appeared beside him with a smile on his face. "Excuse me, are you Lee Taeyong?" Taeyong snapped out of his daze and turned to the other. "Um, yes."

"Okay, then. Welcome to Seoul's High School of the Arts. My name's Moon Taeil, and I'll be your tour guide."

"Name sounds familiar." Taeyong thought to himself before smiling back. "Do you have your schedule with you? The school's fairly big, it would be a waste of time to show you it all. Most forget anyway." Taeil chuckled, playing with the Student I.D tag around his neck.

"Yeah, one second. He pulled through some of his pockets before finding it in his sleeve (yes, he has a lot of things on him). Passing the paper over to him, the older inspected it then looked up. "Let's go, we'll start with homeroom..."

The senior then proceeded to show him the main parts of campus, and basically brightening up every room and hallway he went into. It didn't take long to find out Taeil was a happy virus- seeing as almost everyone liked him.

By the time they were almost done, Taeyong really thought he's seen the older somewhere before. And he racked his mind until they arrived back at the entrance of campus. "That concludes our tour. If you need any more help, don't be hesitant to ask a teacher or one of the other guides, alright? School starts tomorrow, so I suggest you get to sleep early. Have a nice day!" and with that, Taeil was gone.

Taeyong folded the papers in his hand before heading back to the dorm. Through his consuming thoughts, he didn't realize one of neighbours were heading into their dorms as well. a certain boy with red hair, to be exact.

CHAPTER TWO — DANCE
september 13th, 2016 22:21

Taeyong had to literally wake up at five o'clock if he wanted to make it to his dance practice on time. He grabbed a granola bar that WinWin had gotten for him- and his gym bag before heading down. Taeyong hoped he remembered where the studio was, or else he'd miss part of his class.

Though, luck isn't usually on Taeyong's side. He got lost after turning from the school. Looking down at both his schedule and map the school had given him- he must've flipped it at least ten times until the first person passed. "Um, excuse me!" he called out to him, and the boy stopped and turned around.

He had black hair and was too carrying a grey sport bag. "Do you need something?" "Sorry, I was just wondering if you knew where the dance studio is. I'm new and I kinda got lost."

The boy pointed toward the garden at the back of the left side. "If you turn right and head to the very back of the building there should be an extension. It's the first door." Taeyong nodded in thanks, and continued on his way.

The campus was almost completely silent, and the soft cricketing soothed him on the way to the studio. He wondered how many people were in this class as well, and who for that matter.

Seeing as the door was open, he pulled on the knob and pushed forward. He was immediately met with the sound of a familiar song- thought he couldn't place his finger on it- along with a boy dancing in the centre of the studio.

Closing the door quietly, Taeyong didn't think the boy saw him- so he tucked his bag in one of the storage boxes, and continued to watch. He didn't really catch his face- seeing as he was somehow dancing with a face mask on- but admired his obviously high skill level.

The way his body moved on sync to the music almost made it seem like he'd produced everything himself- and it fit perfectly. When the song finished and the boy turned around, his eyes widened. "Oh! I'm so sorry, I forgot there were classes today."

He began packing up his stuff and pulled the mask off his face. "You're really good." The words slipped out of Taeyong's mouth before he could stop them. "O-Oh, thank you. I bet you're not that bad either." The boy smiled while his cheeks tinted a slight pink.

"I better get going, see you around!" And the red-haired boy was gone before he could get a name. Taeyong sighed, and decided to stretch before the teacher or students came. Today he ended up being a half hour early- and he was sure no one was going to wake up at 5 (other than him, maybe) to be here so early.

The teacher ended up being one of the last to join, while only three others came into the studio. The first introduced himself as Jeno, a year two. The second, Mark Lee- a junior. And the last happened to be Moon Taeil himself- or as he said, "The one who can't dance but is here anyway."

After stretching and practicing basic moves for almost an hour, Mr. Kim came into the room and begun the lesson. They started with general choreography, before getting into some of the more advanced bits- along with a challenge.

A choreography by next month? Sounds easy. Finding two to five background dancers? Not so much. The only person he really knew was WinWin, and one: he was not a social person. Two: he couldn't have any one in their dance class. Meaning his new found "Friends" couldn't help him either.

As they wrapped up the session. Taeyong cleaned up before taking his bag and heading back to the dorm. He had about an hour before the school actually started, and he kinda wanted to nap.

Though while he made his way back to the stone building- his mind was occupied. Both on the red haired boy, and his new dance 'project'. For some reason, Taeyong couldn't get over the captivating movements of the currently anonymous dancer- and he was dying to figure out who he was.

And when he got back, Thats exactly what he did. WinWin had gotten back from his vocals class ten minutes earlier and was laying on the couch with a bowl of yogurt and cereal while watching TV. "Winnie." Taeyong whined dramatically, dropping his bags on the floor and leaning over the couch as well.

"Hm?" the blond looked up, wiping some dust off his cheeks. "Do you happen to know anyone with red hair on campus?" Taeyong asked, taking a Cheerio out of his bowl. "There's Kim Taehyung, Kim Doyoung, Kim Yugyeom..." his list went on for a while, but then his interest peaked.

Moon Taeil and Kim Doyoung? They both sounded very familiar, and it was driving him wild. So after a quick decision, he thanked WinWin and flopped onto his bed after grabbing his laptop.

Pulling up a new tab, he typed in both names together- and multiple sites popped up. Clicking on one on the top, Taeyong wasn't sure what he was expecting.

"Moon Taeil, Kim Doyoung, and Jung Jaehyun's temporary partnership with SM?"
