↳❛pretty boy diggory❜
THE RAIN PELTED DOWN on the crowd of students without any mercy. Grey clouds were covering the sky and the only thing that spend light on this day, were the lightning bolts in the distance.
Annabeth was covered by her red Gryffindor rain coat, which had her number and name in yellow letters on her back.
The rain was dripping down her coat and her left hand was gripping onto her broomstick, making her knuckles turn white.
The cold air was whipping against Annabeth's face like whiplashes, making her cheeks turn red as she flew towards the Hufflepuff keeper, the Quaffel in her hand.
The crowd beneath her was cheering and roaring loudly, their faces covered with red and yellow paint.
Annabeth's wet hair was clinging onto her body while the brunette made her way past the two Hufflepuff beaters.
High in the sky above her, Harry was chasing after the golden snitch, followed closely by no other than the golden boy, Cedric Diggory.
Annabeth passed the Quaffel to Angelina and the two approached the Keeper. In the last second Angelina passed the Quaffel back to Annabeth and the brunnette scored effortlessly.
Hufflepuff was behind Gryffindor and Annabeth could feel the tension building up in the crowd.
Suddenly Katie's broom caught on fire and the girl fell, rushing past Annabeth.
Annabeth could hear her loud cry, but when she turned, it was too late. Katie had already crashed in to the wet grass beneath them.
Annabeth let her gaze quickly wander around and saw how her brother followed Cedric into the clouds above them.
A couple of lightning bolts went off, making the grey clouds lighten up. Annabeth gluped, praying that Harry wouldn't get hit by one of them.
Suddenly Angelina rushed past her, "Come on, Ana!"
The brunette immediately followed after her, avoiding a couple of bludgers that came her way.
The rain was slowly starting to cloud her sight, but Annabeth contiued to score goals until she suddenly saw something coming towards them from above.
The girl narrowed her eyes at that something and let out a scream when she realized that it was no other than Harry, who was falling.
"Harry!"
The young brunnette wanted to catch him but her brother was so fast that he rushed past her and Annabeth immediately followed after him.
Annabeth quickly realized that she wouldn't reach him in time, but before Harry could hit the ground, he suddenly stopped falling and floated in the air.
Annabeth immediately jumped from her broom when she reached the ground. Approaching her brother, she saw that he was unconscious. But to her relief, Harry was immediately taken care of.
A moment later Hufflepuff was announced the winner, because Credric had caught the golden Snitch.
It would've been an understatement to say that the Gryffindor's were disappointed, they never lost against Hufflepuff. Wood on the other hand was furious while Diggory tried to convince Madam Hooch that the game had to be replyed.
When the group arrived in the hospital wing, Harry and Katie were already in their several beds.
"He looks a bit peaky, doesn't he?", Ron questioned the other's while they all stood around Harry hospital bed, watching him.
"Peaky, honestly Ronald!?", Annabeth exclaimed as she shot the young boy a dark glare. Her hair was still wet from the game and the girl didn't change into dry clothes, same as Fred and George.
"What do you expect? He fell over 100 feet", George stated as he gave his little brother a pointed look.
Fred immediately joined in, smirking mischievously at Ron, "Let's walk you off a tower and see what you look like."
"Probably a right sight better than he normally does", Harry suddenly spoke up, instantly catching the groups attention.
They all broke into a large relived smile, watching him sit up slowly.
"How are you Harry? Are you alright?", Annabeth immediately questioned him worried while she pushed the wet hair out of his face.
"Oh, brilliant", the boy mumbled under his breath. "You gave us a right good scare there mate", Fred stated as he sat down besides Harry and Annabeth.
Harry seemed as if he remembered nothing of the last events. Looking curiously at his friends, he questioned, "What happened?"
"Well, you fell off your broom", Ron stated flatly and Harry rolled with his eyes. "Really? I meant the match! Who won?"
They all remained quiet for a moment. No one wanted to be the one to tell him the bad news.
Suddenly Hermione stood up, her face expression seeming troubled, "Um- no one blames you, Harry. The Dementors aren't supposed to be on the grounds. Dumbledore is furious. As soon as he saved you, he sent them off."
There was silence again. Everyone was waiting for a reaction, but Harry remained silent. His eyes wandered over them, "Where's Wood?"
"He's still in the showers", Fred answered him quickly before George continued. "We think he's trying to drown himself."
"But he doesn't blame you", Katie quickly joined in from the bed besides him.
Ron cleared his throat awkwardly, "There's something else you should know too, Harry. Um- when you fell, your broom sort of blew into the whomping Willow, and well-"
Ron held up the remainings of Harry broom and the brunette boy closed his eyes in defeat.
Annabeth's heart sunk and she placed a hand on Harry's arm for comfort, "We're going to get you a new one. Promise. But for now, just rest, all right?"
Harry remained silent, only nodding at his sister before he slumpt back into his hospital bed, staring up towards the celling.
Annabeth have the other's a nodd before she nodded towards the door, "Okay, Harry. We'll be on our way then. Get better. I'll be back later."
The other's said their goodbyes as well and Annabeth was the last one to leave. But not before she shot Harry one last look, realizing that he still stared into the distance.
On her way out she was stopped by no other than Cedric Diggory. He was completely wet from head to toe, still in his Hufflepuff Quidditch uniform, his broom in his hand.
His brown eyes were wide and his hair was hanging into his face, "Annabeth, I had no idea that he was falling, I swear to you. I tried to talk to Madame Hooch."
The brunette Gryffindor held her hands up and motioned for him to calm down, "-Relax. It wasn't your fault. You won fair and square." She pointed with her thumb towards the hospital wing, "Harry's alright. Nothing major."
Annabeth gave Cedric a small smile, but he still had a guilty expression plastered on his face. "Why are you standing in the hallway?", the girl then questioned him curiously.
"Well, I was afraid that the Weasley's would murderer me the second I set foot into the hospital wing", he chuckled while the two began walking down the corridor together.
"Well, you aren't wrong. I would dodge them for a while if I were you, as well as Wood of course." Annabeth gave him an amused smile as she raised her eyebrows.
Cedric chuckled again while he hummed, "Yeah."
The two drenched teenagers walked a bit in silence before Annabeth spoke up again, "Oh, almost forgot, Congratulations on the win by the way."
Cedric seemed quite dismissive off his win, because of the incident, "Yeah, um- thank you."
Annabeth gave him a pointed look, "Cedric, you deserve that win. Now, go celebrate with your house."
They came to a stand infront of the stairwell that led towards the Hufflepuff common room.
The boy gave her a small appreciative smile before he shrugged, "I would've invited you, but I think your team wouldn't be too happy about that."
"Yeah, they'll come around", Annabeth assured him before they two parted ways.
The brunette still had a smile playing on her lips, when suddenly someone jumped off a windowsill further down the corridor. "So, you and pretty boy Diggory, huh?"
Annabeth jumped in surprise before her eyes fell onto Draco Malfoy. The boy was casually strolling down towards her, his arms swinging back and forth on both of his side.
Annabeth immediately folded her arms over her chest, narrowing her yes at the Slytherin boy. "What do you want, Malfoy?"
The boy gave her a smirk, only standing a couple of steps away from her now. "How's our chosen one?"
Annabeth gave him a cold look, and a short answer, "He's fine. Don't worry. We're playing Slytherin next month."
"I'm not worried. We're going to rip you lions apart anyway", he had his arrogant look on his face before he quirked his eyebrows at her. "What I'm way more fascinated by is you and pretty boy Diggory."
The brunette boy shoved past him, their shoulders brushing each other in the process. Annabeth felt this tingle going down her spin before she shook it off.
"Don't stick your nose in other people's business, Malfoy!"
And with that she disappeared around the next corner, making her way up into the Gryffindor Common room.
Harry wasn't for long in the hospital wing, after a night he was already out and Wood was furious. He wasn't angry that Harry didn't catch the snitch, but he was raging about the fact that Diggory's catch was applied.
And he wasn't the only one that resented Cedric for catching the Snitch while Harry was injured. All Fred and George did for the next couple of weeks was to talk about Diggory and how unfair it all was.
The day flew by and soon the autumm changed into Winter, and the snow fell over the grounds of Hogwarts, covering them in a white winter wonder land.
And that also meant that the next Hogsmead visit had finally arrived.
The others were already gone, while Annabeth sat in the Gryffindor common room, gazing out of the large window.
Watching how the snow flakes passed by, she warmed her hands on a hot cup of chocolate.
She knew that Hermione would kill her, if she knew that Annabeth let the elf's make her a chocolate. But what Hermione didn't knew, wouldn't hurt her.
The dark brunette turned her attention back to her homework about werewolves. Now she was sure, Professor Snape really hated them.
Becoming a werewolf was so awful, Annabeth couldn't express how sorry she felt for the people that were bitten by one.
Suddenly the door to the Common room bursted open, revealing Harry, who dashed immediately towards his sister.
"Anna! Anna!"
The girl sighed as she closed her book and placed her quill down beside her, "What?"
Harry flopped down onto the windowsill, a smirk plastered on his face, "I've got an idea. Hear me out please."
Annabeth held eye contact with her brother, raising an eyebrow at him she questioned, "What are you up to?"
Harry still smirked as he pulled something out of his jacked. "You want to visit Hogsmead as much as I do. So I thought, why don't we dig out that old invisibility cloak."
Annabeth's gaze remained on the cloak. She felt pretty unconvinced by his plan. The girl just knew that they would get in trouble when someone caught them. But the urge to visit Hogsmead was more powerful than the voice in her head that said, don't do it.
The brunette bit her lip nervously, before she rolled with her eyes. "Okay! Let's go!"
The two Potter siblings rushed through the castle corridors as fast as they could. Annabeth adjusted her winter coat and pulled her scarf up to her nose before she placed her beanie onto her head.
When the two finally reached the main gate, Harry pulled out the cloak and pulled it over their heads.
It was narrowed under the cloak, due to the fact that the two had grown a lot since the first year.
The siblings made their way through the snow, spotting Fred and George, who were building a snow man not far away from them.
Even though Annabeth knew they couldn't see her, she automatically held her head down, avoiding to make eye contact with either one of them.
The girl pushed herself closer to Harry's body, hoping that no one would see their footprints in the snow.
In the same exact moment, she was jammed into the air. Letting out a small scream she looked to her right.
Fred had grabbed the brunette by her arm and pulled her back towards the castle. Annabeth's gaze wandered off to Harry and she realized that George did the same with him.
"Guys! Let go!", Harry suddenly exclaimed agryly.
But Fred and George just ignored the annoyed boy, smirking amused, "Clever Potter's!"
"But not clever enough!"
"We've got a better way", the declared in union.
But Harry didn't listen to them, instead he continued to argue, "We're trying to get to Hogsmead!"
"We know. We'll show you a quicker way." George smirked down at them, "If you pipe down."
Annabeth now began to whine impatient, "Come on, guys! Let us go! I can walk on my own!"
"Now, Harry! Come and join the big boys!", the twins exclaimed in union while they placed Harry and Annabeth onto the wooden stairs.
Annabeth shot them a glare as soon as the cloak was off of her, "I'm here too. You know." The boy's just ignored her.
"What are you doing?", Harry spat angryly at the Weasley twins. The two shushed him immediately, looking around carefully.
George placed a large paper into Harry's hand, making the brunette boy frown, "What's this rubbish?"
The twins let out a laugh while they exchanged a look. Fred pointed at the paper, "What's this rubbish? He says! That there, is the secret to our success!"
"It's a wrench giving it to you believe me!", George exclaimed with raised eyebrows. "But we've decided your needs are greater than ours."
Fred nodded at his twin brother, "George, if you will."
George held up his wand and tapped onto the paper, "I solemnly swear that I am up to no good."
Annabeth's eyes immediately widened to the size of plates. There were words appearing on the paper.
Annabeth let her eyes wander over the writing. "Messrs. Moony, Wormtail, Padfoot and Prongs are proud to present the Marauder's Map."
The twins nodded, "We own them so much." Annabeth grabbed the map out of Harry's hand and opened it.
"Merlin! This is Hogwarts!", the girl exclaimed quietly as she exchanged an amazed look with her brother.
"Oh hang on! And that- no. Is that really-?", Harry gave the twins a questioning look.
"Dumbledore", Fred nodded.
"In his study."
"Pacing."
"Does that a lot."
Annabeth frowned as she finally tore her gaze away from the map. "So you mean that this map shows-"
"Everyone."
The brunette gave them an amazed look, "Everyone?"
"Where they are."
"What they're doing."
"Every minute."
"Every day", the twins explained proudly.
Harry let out a amazed sighed, "Brilliant! Where did you get it?" Fred crossed his arms over his chest, "From Filch's office. First year."
George continued for his brother, while pointing at the map, "There are seven secret passageways out of the castle."
The two spoke up together, "We recommend this one."
"The one eyed witch passageway." George raised an eyebrow at them, "Leads you to Honeyduke's."
"But hurry! Filch is heading this way", Fred warned them quickly and Annabeth immediately spotted Filch's name on the map.
Annabeth am Harry stood up and wanted to go, but George stopped them. "Oh, and don't forget. When you're done, just give it a tap and say, Mischief managed! Otherwise everyone can read it."
IT DIDN'T TOOK them long and as soon as Harry and Annabeth were out of the secret passageway, Harry covered them with their cloak.
The two quickly made their way upstairs and as soon as they entered the shop, the smell of many different candy's reached Annabeth's nose.
The girl hummed in satisfaction, when she suddenly spotted a couple of her classmates in a corner.
Harry stole Neville his candy and the two made their way outside, large smiles playing on their faces.
It was very cold outside and Annabeth could feel the gossebumps rise over her whole body, while she rubbed her arms.
"I think, Hermione and Ron wanted to visit the Shrieking Shack", Annabeth reminded Harry while they made their way through the little town.
It didn't took long until they had reach the edge of Hogsmead and Annabeth could already hear Malfoy's voice, before she saw him.
The blond haired boy and his two dumb friends, Crab and Goyle were standing in front of Ron and Hermione.
Ron seemed pretty taken back by something the Slytherin boy had said to him. But he still shot back at the boy, "Shut your mouth, Malfoy."
Draco huffed at him, before his familiar arrogant smirk appeared on his lips, "Not very friendly. Boys, I think it's time to teach Weasle-Bee how to respect his superiors."
Hermione escaped a chuckle before she got in-between Malfoy and Ron. "Hope you don't mean yourself."
Draco's face expression darkened immediately, "How dare you talk to me! You filthy little mudblood!"
Annabeth could feel how her blood started boiling. That was enough.
The girl didn't really thought her idea through but she quickly kneeled down, grabbing a hand full of snow. She quickly formed it into a ball and threw it against Malfoy's head with all the power she had.
The snow ball collided with Malfoy's head and the boy had a feared expression on his face while his eyes wandered over the trees.
"Who is that?", his scared voice echoed through the woods.
Harry let out a quiet chuckle and joined in by throwing the next snow ball, which hit Malfoy into the stomach.
The Slytherin boy grunted as he and his friends moved backwards while Harry and Annabeth contiued with their attack.
"Don't stand there do something!"
Annabethe hid behind a tree, signaling Harry to go mess with Malfoy and the other two Slytherins.
The girl peeked past the tree, watching how Goyles pants were pulled down, making the boy nearly piss himself.
He also pulled down Crabbs pants and then pushed him into the snow, face first.
Malfoy began to panic and wanted to make a run for it, but Harry had other plans. He made Malfoy fall onto his butt and then dragged him by his feet down towards the shrinking shak.
The blond boy screamed in fear before Harry finally let go of him. This Slytherin boys all jumped onto their feet immediately and began running.
Annabeth had to control her laugh as she hid again, waiting until the three had passed her.
The brunette then came running down towards her friends while Harry revealed himself, laughing.
Hermione couldn't hold herself back from laughing loudly while Ron's eyes widened at them, "Bloody Hell, Harry! That was not funny!"
