They arrived in Diagon Alley soon enough, just seeing the bright colours and welcoming shops made Rosalyn feel happier. And soon she met another person that she knew.
Hermione Granger came out of a shop and rushed straight towards them, beaming. "Rosalyn, Harry, Hagrid!"
"Hello, Hermione!" Hagrid said, his smile equally bright.
"It's so great to see you!" Hermione said, bouncing on the balls of her feet.
"It's great to see you too," Said Harry.
"What did you do to your glasses?" Hermione asked, frowning whilst saying to Rosalyn. "Been having a good summer Rosie?"
"It's been great," Rosalyn smirked.
Hermione giggled and pointed her wand at Harry's glasses, "occulus Reparo!" the crack repaired itself in seconds.
Harry took his glasses of, impressed by Hermione's work. "I think I need to remember that one," he remarked.
"You'll be alright from now on I take it, Harry, Rosalyn?" Their giant friend asked.
They bade their goodbyes to Hagrid and Hermione dragged them off to where the Weasley's were reconciling. Flourish and Blotts, the book shop. When Rosalyn, Hermione and Harry went inside, Rosalyn noticed big posters with a brightly, falsely, Rosalyn thought, smiling man on them, but she didn't bother to read them.
Hermione led them to the Weasley's, who were standing at the front of a large crowd of people. Rosalyn knew they must be waiting for the man on the poster.
When Molly saw them, she gave a deep sigh. "Harry, Rosalyn! Thank goodness you're alright, we hoped you'd only gone one grate too far!"
But the show was about to start, as the man of the moment (apparently, Rosalyn thought, rolling her eyes) came out of a doorway, the claps and cheers music to his ears.
Molly was fixing her hair and looked hopefully. "Mum fancies him," Ron disclosed the secret-not-so-secret to Harry, Molly just gave him a light shove, as she was so excited to see Lockhart.
A photographer pushed past everyone, saying, "excuse me, yes, this is for the Daily Prophet..." When he came to the front, he shoved through a little too hard and Harry and Ron stumbled, but Rosalyn, being the one who took most of the hit, fell to the ground with a thump.
"Hey!" Rosalyn practically yelled, but the photographer didn't care, he just went on getting shots of Lockhart.
Speaking of him, he had been putting on the most cheesy smile for the photos, but it faded as he saw the girl who was getting up from her fall and the boy behind her, he had a clear view to their scars, Rosalyn's on temporary show, and immediately took them as a claim to fame.
"My, my, it can't be Harry and Rosalyn Potter..."
"You two!" The photographer grabbed them both, apologising to Rosalyn on the way. "I'm so sorry, girl, if I had realised it was you..."
This angered Rosalyn to no end. He shouldn't be knocking over anyone. But anyway, Harry and Rosalyn were pulled to the front and grabbed by Lockhart in turn.
"Let's make this a game," Rosalyn muttered to her twin under her breath. "Come and grab Rosalyn and Harry Potter, they're only people! They don't have feelings, come on!"
Harry sniggered but was quickly brought back to real life as Lockhart put an arm round each of their shoulders.
"Nice big smiles, Rosalyn, Harry, together the three of us will make the front page," He then started on the idocy, speaking louder for the crowd. "When young Rosalyn and Harry stepped into Flourish and Blotts this morning to, purchase a copy of my autobiography, Magical Me." clapping filled the room and Hermione sighed at him with a weird smile on her face, Rosalyn, however, looked angry, but Lockhart went on anyway, as if he never noticed. "Which incidentally, is celebrating its 27th week at the top of the Daily Prophet's bestseller list! Yes, yes, I know, but they had no idea, that they would be leaving... with my entire collective works... free of charge." He dumped a pile of books into Rosalyn's hands, and then into Harry's whilst the crowd went ballistic. Rosalyn didn't even know why.
She and Harry gladly walked away from him as he picked up a feather quill, "now, ladies..."
Rosalyn rolled her eyes.
She and Harry put their books in Molly's hands as she said. "Now you give me those, and I'll get them signed, now you all go wait outside, come on." She chivvied them along like a mother hen, but Rosalyn appreciated it, because where would she be without her?
Rosalyn's intentions were to walk straight out the shop, but of course that wasn't what happened. Draco Malfoy came down the stairs and blocked their way, sneering.
"Bet you enjoyed that, didn't you? Famous Rosalyn and Harry Potter, can't even go into a bookshop without making the front page!"
Rosalyn was about to make a cutting remark, maybe threaten him, but someone else stepped up before her, someone just as firey.
"Leave him alone- I mean, leave them alone," Ginny said, stuttering but her eyes never leaving Malfoy.
He laughed. "Oh look, Potter, male Potter, you got yourself a girlfriend!"
"Jealous, Malfoy?" Rosalyn snapped.
A very angry Draco was about to respond, but then a very familiar cane appeared on his shoulder, Lucius shoved his son aside harshly. "Now, now Draco, play nicely."
This was the first time Rosalyn had ever seen him properly. He had long, blonde hair, just like his son, and a permanent smirk on his face. It wasn't a very pleasant look, altogether. "Miss Potter, Mr Potter, I'm Lucius Malfoy, we meet at last."
He extended his hand and Rosalyn took it, but instead of shaking her hand, he pulled up her sleeve with his cane, revealing her lightning bolt scar on her forearm.
"Forgive me, your scar is legend, as is the wizard who gave it to you."
Rosalyn smirked sarcastically. "Really? Well, you may worship him, but I think Voldemort is no more than a coward and a murderer."
"Hmm, you must be very brave to mention his name," Lucius smirked slightly. "Or very foolish..."
"Fear of the name only increases fear of the thing itself," Hermione recited, Lucius looked happy to have another person to pick on.
"You must be Miss Granger... yes Draco's told me all about you... and your parents."
Her muggle parents were talking enthusiastically with Mr Weasley, and Hermione looked at them before Lucius continued.
"Muggles aren't they?" He asked the question he already knew the answer to.
"Yeah, and no one gives a shit," Rosalyn snarled.
Lucius studied her, then moved to Ron. "Yes, let me see, red hair, vacant expression," he pulled a book out of Ginny's cauldron. "Tatty, second-hand book. You must be the Weasley's."
Just then, Arthur came up to them. "Children, it's mad in here, let's go outside."
"Well, well, well, Weasley senior," Malfoy senior said as if it was a bad thing.
"Says Malfoy Senior as if it's a bad thing..." Rosalyn muttered venomously under her breath to Ron, who nodded.
Arthur, meanwhile, just went. "Lucius."
"How is your time at the Ministry Arthur? All those extra raids... I do hope they're paying you overtime," he held up the book he had taken from Ginny, Rosalyn longed to snatch it out of his hands. "But judging by the state of this, I'd say not. What use is it being the disgrace to the name of wizard if they don't even pay you well for it?"
"I don't know, could you tell us?" Rosalyn asked with a sickly sweet smile on her face.
Arthur didn't look affected in the slightest, but Rosalyn knew that Lucius Malfoy's words cut his inside like a dagger, that was why's she stood up for him. However, he came back with. "We have a very different idea about what disgraces the name of wizard, Malfoy."
"Clearly," was Lucius's passive remark. "Acociating yourself with muggles... and I thought your family could sink no lower..." He shoved Ginny's book back in her cauldron where Rosalyn eyed it suspiciously. Arthur's eyes had widened, but he smiled at the children as Lucius bade a curt goodbye with a. "I'll see you at work."
Draco came out from behind Arthur and sashayed weirdly out the shop as he said to Rosalyn, Hermione, Harry and Ron. "I'll see you at school."
"Not if we can help it," Rosalyn quipped.

The next thing Rosalyn knew, the holidays had ended, and she, Harry, Ron, Fred, George, Ginny, and Percy were getting packed and ready to go back to Hogwarts.
They all piled into the blue Ford Anglia and drove to Kings Cross, on the way, Rosalyn and Ginny had a conversation about Hogwarts and what to expect, Ron and Harry tried to put some stuff in, but Ginny want bright red and stopped talking every time Harry spoke, so eventually they fell silent.
Eventually, every person, every animal and every piece of luggage were out the car and heading towards the platform, Molly was hurrying them up because there was only three minutes to eleven o'clock.
"Come on come on, train will be leaving any minute!"
"Fred, George, Percy you first!"
Said Weasley's ran at the barrier and disappeared, Rosalyn sighed at magic, and again realised how lucky she was to have it.
Molly and Arthur helped Ginny push her trolley and once she was gone, her parents went behind her.
"Let's go," Rosalyn said to Harry and Ron, who nodded.
They ran in sync and weren't worried at all that they would hit the stone, they knew that they would go straight through it, right?
Wrong.
Rosalyn crashed headlong into the brick. She didn't even really register Harry and Ron tripping over her, but she did notice the throbbing in her shoulder as she got up.
"What d'you three think you're doing?" A warden said, Rosalyn tried to act innocent.
"Sorry, Sir, I just lost control of my trolley," Ron and Harry sniggered at her and she turned round and stuck out her tongue at them.
She turned back to Harry and Ron and hissed urgently. "Why can't we get through?"
"I don't know!" Harry said, putting a hand on the bricks.
"The gateway's sealed itself for some reason!" Ron put in.
Their conversation was cut short by the large clock on the wall striking eleven. "The train leaves at exactly eleven o'clock, we've missed it!" Rosalyn cursed.
Ron's eyes widened. "Rosalyn... if we can't get through... maybe mum and dad can't get back?"
"M- maybe we should just go and wait by the car?" Harry suggested.
Ron's whole face flooded with understanding. Rosalyn could tell he had an idea, but she could also tell that it was probably a bad one.
"The car?!"
A minute later, Rosalyn, Harry and Ron were flying above Kings Cross. Rosalyn had wanted to argue with the idea of using the car, but nothing she said made Ron budge, so she just went along with it. Harry, however, seemed a bit stressed.
"Ron, I should tell you, most muggles aren't accustomed to seeing a flying car!"
"Er, right!" Ron hit a button that Rosalyn knew made the car invisible. They flew up and away, hopefully with nobody giving them questioning glances.
Ron found his way to the train track of the Hogwarts Express, following it to get to Hogwarts, and they flew down from the clouds to get better look. And they also flew back into sight.
Ron realised quickly that they could be seen and pressed the button again and again, "oh no! The invisibility booster must be faulty!"
"Let's go lower, we need to find the train!" Rosalyn said, and Ron flew them down so that they landed on the train tracks.
"Now all we need to do is catch up with the train," Harry said.
"We can't be far behind!" Ron said.
The train's horn was heard.
"Did you hear that?" Harry asked warily.
"We must be getting close!" Ron started smiling.
"Hold on..."
The horn was behind them. They were in front of the train.
The three of them started yelling and Ron pulled away quickly, as soon as they were out of danger, Rosalyn yelled at the boys. "You pair of idiots!" But they were too shocked to register her chiding.
But they encountered another problem, as they met a tree and Ron turned to avoid it, but he sent the whole car spinning. They tumbled round, and Rosalyn felt it was quite enjoyable, until her car door fell open and she was hanging onto it, dangling above the Hogwarts Express.
"ROSALYN!" Harry and Ron roared.
Ron was closest to her, and he shouted. "Hold on!" Extending his hand. Rosalyn reached up with all the strength she could muster, and caught his hand, but immediately slipped off.
"Hold on!" Ron repeated.
"I'm trying!" Rosalyn hollered. "Your hand's all sweaty!"
Ron wiped his hand on his jumper and gave it to Rosalyn again, this time, he got get and pulled her back into the car. Rosalyn was breathing hard and Harry and Ron kept their eyes glued to the front windscreen.
"I think we found the train," Harry said, panting.
Ron fervently nodded as he flew them onwards to Hogwarts.
When they got there, the three of them gasped at the view, they were always starstruck by it. They flew across the lake and around the castle, then onto the grass.
And that was when they started losing height.
"Up!" Harry yelled. "Up, up, up!"
"It's not working!" Ron was pulling every leaver and pressing every button, but it didn't work.
"Come on you idiot, make it work-"Rosalyn tried as well, but it didn't happen, the car was broken.
Ron started whacking the steering wheel with his wand but his wand just broke, he whimpered. "My wand..."
"Forget about that and drive the stupid car!" Rosalyn screamed.
"Excuse me Rosie, I am-"
"You're not doing a very good job-"
"Shut u-"
"Mind that tree!" Harry warned both of them, but they were both too worried and angry at the other to think about that.
Until they crashed into it.
