"SAM-I-AM IN A SLING!"

FINN HUDSON HAD SEEN THE FACE OF JESUS IN HIS GRILLED CHEESE. And after his wish to win the football game for Artie had come true, he'd began to worship this 'Grilled Cheesus."

Now after watching his wish come true, Finn was ready to hold up his end of the deal as he stood at the front of the choir room and began to make a speech.

"Oh my god he's coming out!" Puck marveled, shaking Tessa where she'd began to fall asleep against his shoulder.

"Why yes!" Finn agreed without thinking and causing the whole room to widen their eyes, "there if a man who's recently come into my life and that man is Jesus Christ."

Slumping back into his chair, Puck was disappointed, "that's way worse." He groaned, getting himself a glare from Mr Schue.

Unphased by Puck rolling his eyes over dramatically, Finn continued on with a grin on his lips, "and I know there are others in here that dig him too. So I thought maybe this week we could pay tribute to him in music. You know, pay tribute to Jesus."

Quick to show his opposition, Kurt spoke up loudly, "sorry, if I wanted to sing about Jesus I'd go to church. And the reason I don't is because they don't seem to think very much of gay people, or women or science."

"I don't see anything wrong with getting a little church up in here." Mercedes shrugged, excitedly.

"I agree." Quinn added on, "I've had a tough year and I turned to god a lot for help. I for one wouldn't mind saying thanks."

"Thanks for what?" Santana scoffed, "that it didn't come out a lizard baby?"

"Whenever I pray I fall asleep." Brittany admitted, quietly.

Tessa sat forward in her seat in an attempt to calm everyone down, "surely we don't have to sing about god if we don't want to. Obviously it's perfectly okay if you do, but it's also fine to believe in a different god or no god at all."

Holding a hand out towards her, Mr Schue tried to make everyone happy, "well guys, maybe our song selection doesn't have to be about Jesus, we could do songs about spirituality."

His head whipping back round to Puck again, Finn saw his eye roll this time and was quick to test him, "you got a problem with Jesus?"

Holding his hands up in surrender, Puck shook his head, "Oh, I got no problem
with the guy. I'm a total Jew for Jesus, he's my number one Heb. What I don't like seeing is people using J-money to cramp everybody else's style, 'cause it seems to me that true spirituality or whatever you want to call it is about enjoying the life that you've been given. I mean, I see God every time I make out with a new chick."

"Just charming." Tessa hissed, pushing his arm off of her as Puck tried to correct himself, "I meant you, babe. You're the new chick."

Rolling her eyes, she let him put his arm back around her, but was sure to let him know she wasn't pleased, "you better watch yourself Puckerman, Snixx is currently giving you a death stare."

Puck was distracted from Santana's glare onto Rachel's, who'd turned around to face him, expression full of disgust, "okay, okay, that doesn't make sense, in fact, it's stupid."

Getting up from his chair and grabbing his guitar, he pointed back at her with a questioning look, "are you calling Mr Billy Joel stupid? 'Cause he's my girl's fave and I can't be having you insult him." He said, as Rachel tutted during his pause, "he's also Jewish...so I'll be continuing my streak of doing only Jewish artists."

[SONG- ONLY THE GOOD DIE YOUNG, SANG BY PUCK]

WITH DEDICATING A WEEK OF HIS MUSICAL LIFE TO HIM, FINN HAD TAKEN HIS GRILLED CHEESUS EVERYWHERE WITH HIM. Furrowing her eyebrows as she saw Finn with his head stuffed into his locker, Tessa slowly approached him.

Standing back with her hands held up as Finn jumped and fumbled around in his locker at the feeling of her patting him on the back, Tessa frowned once more at his flustered actions, "got a bird in there or something, dude?"

"Um-yes?" He replied, in hopes of keeping his cover.

Raising her eyebrow, Tessa laughed to herself, "unbelievable. Finn Hudson the bird trainer — can't wait to tell Puck that one."

Rolling his eyes, Finn gave a sigh of defeat as he looked around to make sure nobody was listening in on their conversation and stood away from his locker door to reveal his grilled cheesus. Clapping lightly, Tessa went to pick up what she thought was just a regular grilled cheese, "ooh! A grilled cheese! Nice!" She said excitedly, "I'm kinda hungry, can I have some?"

"No!" Finn shouted, holding the grilled cheese up in the air before sighing at her pout, "no — I'd love to give you some grilled cheese, and I'd love some grilled cheese too, but this isn't a normal grilled cheese." He told her, leaning in closer to make sure he had her hooked on his explanation, "it's special."

"Special?" She repeated, trying to hold in her laugh, "like has bacon in or something? Cause you better not have given any to Rachel, how many times do I have to remind you that she's vegan?"

"No, no, no. I know." Finn breathed out, carefully putting the grilled cheese back in his locker before slamming his hands down on her shoulders, "it's a grilled cheesus."

"A grilled cheesus?" Tessa repeated, tilting her head to the side.

"A grilled cheesus." He confirmed, nodding his head as he awaited her reaction.

"Like a grilled cheese Jesus?" She questioned, completely confused.

Pointing back at her triumphantly, Finn nodded his head, "exactly. Jesus appeared to me on a sandwich." He boasted, "cool right?"

Nodding slowly in return, Tessa just smiled, "yeah, cool..." she trailed off, "if you believe in god of course."

"Do you not?" He asked, curiously.

Tessa shrugged slightly, "I mean, I don't believe in God, but I think it's great if you do. Especially if your god is as cheesy and delicious as grilled cheesus." A goofy smile burst across her face as she spoke, giving Finn a small poke on the arm as he grinned alongside her.

"He's like a genie." Finn marvelled, lowering his voice, "he let me touch Rachel's boobs." Grimacing, Tessa blinked a couple of times before replying, "right. Didn't need to know that but okay."

Full of adoration for his grilled cheesus, Finn held it up to tell her his next wish, "I'm gonna ask him to be quarterback again." He said, proudly, rolling his eyes as he saw Tessa's face, "Sam's a nice dude and I know you're madly in love with him but i just think I'd be a better quarterback."

"I'm not madly in love with him," Tessa mumbled, folding her arms across her chest.

"You know what? I'm gonna do Sam a favour and wish to grilled cheesus that you'd break up with Puck and admit you're in love with him."

"In his dreams." Tessa laughed out loud.

"I bet you're in his dreams." Finn retaliated, wiggling his eyebrows as Tessa grabbed a textbook out of his locker and slapped him on the arm with it.

TOO BUSY FOCUSING ON READING OVER THE CARD SHE'D MADE FOR KURT, TESSA DIDN'T NOTICE A BLONDE BOY HEADING HER WAY. Jumping slightly as they saw each other, their shock quickly turned into grins whilst they greeted each other.

"Sorry, didn't mean to scare you." Sam chuckled, rubbing the back of his neck as a blush came to his cheeks.

"No, it's okay," she smiled, "I wasn't paying attention." Carefully, she put the card back into the bag and pulled out another one, handing it over to him, "I'm not the best artist, but I tried."

A grin fell across Sam's face as he looked over the card, "is that Sam-I-Am?" He asked, pointing excitedly to one of the characters, "in a sling?"

"Yeah." Tessa said, giving Sam's good arm a poke, "he's injured, just like you."

"Wow." He gasped, dramatically holding a hand to his heart, "I'm offended. How could you do this to me?"

Laughing lightly, Tessa raised her eyebrow, "I don't see anyone else making you get better cards." She remarked, with a sly grin, snatching the card from his hand, "this, Sam Evans, is a masterpiece."

"It really is." He smiled, nodding convincingly as she rolled her eyes, "I'm serious, I love it. I'll keep it forever and ever."

"You better." She giggled, "or I'll tackle you myself."

"I fully believe you could do that so I definitely promise." He whispered, with wide eyes.

Pouting slightly, Tessa gave him an encouraging shrug of her shoulders as they walked along, "hey, you were great until you got knocked out. Best guy out on that field."

Smiling back at her, Sam bumped into her side slightly as he replied, "you were the best cheerleader, despite sitting in the stands." He laughed to himself.

"I find shouting encouragement is my best bet." Tessa shrugged, in an over confident tone that made Sam shake his head as he laughed aloud.

"Once I'm back on the field again, you'll cheer for me won't you?" Sam asked her, a soft smile growing on his lips.

"Of course! I promise on grilled cheesus." She replied, through a laugh.

Sam furrowed his eyebrows in amusement as they entered their next class and took their seats next to each other, "who?"

"Doesn't matter." Tessa giggled, slumping down into her hands with a large grin kept on her face.
