WE'RE NOT TOTAL LOSERS I PROMISE YOU!
FOR LOTS OF THE GLEE CLUB, IT WAS THEIR LAST EVER WEEK IN MCKINLEY HIGH AND GLEE CLUB. With a week left to say their goodbyes, the six original members — Rachel, Artie, Tina, Mercedes, Kurt and Tessa — had dug up a memory that was 'Sit Down You're Rocking the Boat' and had decided to show off the awful start of glee club to the group that were now Nationals champions.
Finally managing to get into their finishing poses, Tessa let out the loud laughter she'd been struggling to hold in whilst the rest of the glee club cheered with sad smiles upon their faces. Wrapping her arms around Kurt, she gave him a tight squeeze, remembering how he'd been the first original member of glee club to become her friend and how far they'd all come since then.
"That was the most ghetto number I've ever seen." Santana commented through a laugh as Tessa threw herself down in a seat between her and Sam, immediately taking both of their hands in hers and planting a kiss against each one.
"Then just call me George Jefferson because we went from the ghetto to the penthouse. Nationals champs baby!" Artie grinned, starting off a cheer of celebration.
Taking a deep breath, Mr Schue had joined them in the room and immediately made his way straight over to the whiteboard, writing goodbye across it in large letters. As the group took a moment to take in the word, their smiles fell to sadder ones when they looked around and it all sank it, "this week's assignment is easy. Graduation is just a few days away. We have nothing left to prepare for, our work here is done, so there's only one thing left to do: say goodbye. Underclassmen, pick some songs to say goodbye to the seniors, seniors, pick some songs to say goodbye to us."
"A part of me just wants to lock these doors and stay in here with everyone forever." Mercedes admitted with a sigh.
Brainstorming ideas, Brittany was eagerly nodding along to this, "we can use the wastebasket for the toilet and eat Joe for the food since she's been here the shortest so we know her the least."
Just smiling along, Mr Schue reached over and grabbed hold of his guitar to be the first to take part in the weeks assignment in order to say goodbye to the senior members of the group who he knew he'd miss next year. Picking up on what he was going, Quinn was unable to hold back a playful grin, "I really hope you're about to rap."
"Please no." Tessa whispered with wide eyes.
Shaking his head and laughing along with the rest of the room, Mr Schue was glad that they'd spoken up to lighten the sad mood in the choir room that day, "no such luck, I'm leading by example here. This one is for you guys."

BURT HUMMEL HAD A PLAN FOR HIS SON'S GRADUATION PRESENT. When he'd asked Brittany and Tessa to help him out, the both of them knew that he was on about the 'Single Ladies' routine they'd taught Kurt in his basement and had instantly agreed.
After plenty of time learning the choreography, the performance was finally ready and Kurt had been called down to the auditorium to watch it. Waiting backstage for Burt to finish introducing his present to him, Brittany and Tessa had their hands tightly held in one anothers.
"Can i tell you a secret?" Brittany whispered.
Turning to face her, Tessa nodded immediately, "yeah, course you can Britt, you can tell me anything."
Looking round to make sure no one was listening in, Brittany leaned in closer to admit something she hadn't even told Santana yet, "I'm not graduating. I'm repeating my senior year." Tessa was instantly surprised by the news, furrowing her eyebrows in confusion leading Brittany to confirm what she'd told her with a nod of her head, "I'm just not smart enough I guess."
Knowing that Brittany had just put a brave face on then as she shrugged, Tessa held her at arms length, "don't say that. You're a genius Brittany, at least I think so. Why didn't you tell anyone? We had a whole week where Mr Schue wanted to help Finn, Santana and Mercedes and we've all been taking turns helping out Puck retake his test. We would've helped you out too."
As Tessa smiled back at her, Brittany was reassured into one of the reasons she'd found that not graduating might be a good thing for her, "maybe i don't wanna graduate. You know, I'll have another year here and we'll be on the Cheerios and in glee club together so it'll still be fun even without Santana."
Nodding out of understanding, Tessa was eager to assure Brittany that she had her full support with whatever she wanted to do with her life, including repeating her senior year, "yeah, we'll have plenty of fun together and you can hang out with me, Sam and Blaine all the time if you want to. We're not total losers I promise you."
"You're total dorks but it's okay because I love you." Brittany smiled softly.
"I love you too Britt." Tessa whispered, giving her hand a tight squeeze in hers before they left ran out onto the stage waving madly over at Kurt who had immediately began laughing when the 'Single Ladies' music started up and his dad and the two girls danced along to the same choreography that he'd learnt himself when glee club was just at its beginning, before he'd come out. Peeping through his hands as he laughed along, Kurt felt as though his dad's graduation present was enough to keep the smile on his face as he said some difficult goodbyes to a few of the people he loved most.

SANTANA LOPEZ KNEW THAT SHE COULDN'T PUT OFF ONE GOODBYE ANY LONGER. Walking straight over to Tessa's locker she grabbed her by the hand and dragged her straight into the choir room, closing the door after her, leading the two of them to take a seat on the chairs at the front.
Slapping her hands down onto her knees, Santana was quick to start them off, "we're not gonna sing the cheesy songs or give the sentimental speeches okay? I don't really want either of us to turn into Tinas today."
"I love cheesy songs." Tessa pouted, "but you're right. If I had to say how much I love you and all that I'd totally turn into a Tina."
Laughing lightly, Santana tilted her head to the side as she smiled at her best friend, how much she'd miss being around her all the time hitting her in the moment that she realised that she'd have to say a goodbye. Swallowing the small lump that had come to her throat, Santana focused on her goodbye that was even harder that the one she was doing right now, "you'll look after Britt next year won't you? Be there to go all Lima Heights on anyone who calls her stupid or anything."
Scoffing, Tessa was quick to brush off her concern with a wave of her hand, "I'd do that anyway, even if you were here to do it yourself."
"That's what i like to hear." Santana chuckled, feeling a warm rush of reassurance that Brittany would be left in good hands, "and Britt will look after you too. I know the girls on the Cheerios aren't the nicest to you at times, but even if I'm not here to kick their asses, she will be there to give you a hug."
"It won't be the same without our Santana Lopez on the team." Tessa sighed sadly, reaching out and grabbing one of her hands, "but all we've gotta know is that you're out there kicking ass in Louisville being the star we all know you are."
Unable to stop the grin from growing larger on her face, Santana shrugged her shoulders, "I'm not sure if Louisville is gonna be for me one hundred percent, part of me is drawn to New York."
"Then you'll be out there kicking ass in New York." Tessa stated simply, "you're awesome Santana Lopez and I love you."
"I hope all your new best friends you make next year know how damn lucky they are to have you." Santana gushed, holding a hand over her heart.
"You're my best friend." She pouted, tilting her head out of confusion at Santana's sad smile, "and you're mine. And you always will be. But you better be making some super cool, totally awesome besties next year because you can't just be best friends with gay Clark Kent and your mans Lipsy McChapstick. That's just sad."
Leaning forward in her seat, Tessa gently cupped Santana's face in her hands, "however many new besties i make, you'll always be my number one girl."
"And you'll always be mine." Santana smiled back at her for a moment before holding her head up high and getting out of her chair. Noticing the tears beginning to well up in Tessa's eyes as she furiously began to hide them away, her expression softened and she took a step back towards her and held her in a long and warm hug. Holding her at arms length again, she gave her a shake, "don't cry! Only Tinas cry!"
Composing herself quickly, Tessa couldn't stop a giggle from escaping her lips, "I'm not crying. I'm fine. I'm not Tina-ing anymore."
Chuckling along herself, Santana let out a deep breathe before pushing aside her badass image to let her inner Sam Evans and Tessa Swann show through, "now go forth my young Jedi, make friends and don't be a loser."
Playfully winking her way, Tessa was more than happy with her goodbye with Santana Lopez as hard as it was, it was just perfect for the two of them, "I'll be the coolest loser Mckinley will ever see, I can promise you that."
Shaking her head out of amusement, Santana was adamant on denying she'd let the emotions of saying goodbye to one of her favourite people lead her to use a Star Wars reference and was eager for the two of them to leave the choir room in the hopes that the thought of saying goodbye would wash away and they'd spend the rest of her time at Mckinley as if she wasn't going anywhere.
