BABY YOU LIGHT UP MY WORLD LIKE NOBODY ELSE!

ALMOST EVERYONE WAS EXCITED ABOUT BRITTANY'S DINOSAUR PROM. Alongside Santana, Tessa thought her idea was inspired, unlike Blaine, who was tagging along to Rachel's anti-prom party in protest to her ban on hair gel.

Opening up her locker, Tessa hadn't expected to see a note with a flower carefully attached to it. Reading the writing that she clearly recognized to be Sam's, she chuckled to herself gently before following its lead to the choir room.

Waiting in the choir room, Sam was bouncing around nervously as he awaited Tessa's arrival, jumping round to pick up his guitar as he heard her come through the door.

Holding her arms out in expectation as she saw the grin appear on his face, Tessa laughed to herself quietly, "what's going on in here?"

Rushing forward, Sam grabbed onto her hands and pulled her over to the middle of the room, beaming with excitement as she took a seat on the piano, "just listen, okay, baby?"

As she nodded expecting a song, Sam casted a look over to the door and Blaine Anderson crept into the room and sat down at the piano throwing a giddy wave to Tessa before catching sight of Sam's thumbs up and beginning to play as the band followed on in.

Immediately recognizing the tune to be Frankie Valli's 'Can't Take My Eyes off of You', Tessa began giggling to herself, shaking her head in amusement as Sam started to sing to her. Just as the song came up to the chorus, Finn, Mike, Kurt, Puck and Artie burst through the door, making Tessa laugh even harder as they tried to follow Mike's dance moves.

Passing his guitar over to Finn, Sam ran forward and took her hands to pull Tessa off the piano, playfully twirling her around the choir room as she mouthed the words alongside him with a beaming smile on her face. Guiding her to a seat in the middle of the choir room as the song came to an end, the guys shuffled out of the choir room offering high fives all around, as Tessa cheered for them loudly.

"That was totally awesome." Tessa grinned, through a soft laugh, clapping her hands together.

"I'll make sure prom's totally awesome. With my totally awesome dance moves." Sam spoke up with a slightly nervous chuckle, grabbing a bunch of flowers from a nearby chair and holding them towards her, "and hopefully my totally awesome date. Fancy going to prom with me?"

Tilting her head to the side as she took the flowers and held them close to her chest, Tessa gave him a soft smile as she nodded, "I'd love to."

"Awesome." Sam breathed out, unable to stop his smile from getting bigger by the second as Tessa stood up from her seat and pushed herself up onto her tip toes to plant a sweet kiss onto his lips.

Hearing the bell ring, Tessa held out her hand for Sam to take as they moved on to their next class. Watching Blaine walk in front of them, Tessa shook her head in amusement to see him still looking grumpy over the hair gel, "you think if we sang Blaine a song he'd come to prom with us?"

"I think he'd only come if we begged Brittany to allow hair gel." Sam rolled his eyes through a laugh as they caught up to Blaine, sneaking up behind him to playfully ruffle his gelled hair as he smacked their hands away with a large pout.

BRITTANY'S DINOSAUR PROM WAS DEFINITELY IMPRESSIVE. Barely taking the time to admire his surroundings, unlike Mike Chang, who'd immediately grabbed Tina's hand and rushed over to wonder over the triceratops, Sam Evans had began dancing crazily as soon as he and Tessa had entered the gymnasium.

Grabbing onto Tessa's hand, he playfully twirled her towards him, "dance with me Tess!"

Finding herself laughing a lot this week, Tessa quickly agreed with a loud laugh, the both of them unafraid of the concerned looks they were getting from others in the gym as they danced as crazily as they could together. Tripping over her own feet, Tessa eventually managed to calm herself down from the excitement, slipping both hands into Sam's and letting him swing them up and down, "Sam Evans, you are crazy." She laughed, affectionately.

"Crazy about you." He replied, wiggling his eyebrows flirtatiously, "seriously though, I think you're the crazy one here. You don't see anyone turning up to prom wearing vans."

Rolling her eyes playfully, Tessa glanced around the gym before discreetly lifting up the bottom of her dress to show off her vans, "I made sure they go with my dress okay? and they're comfy."

Snaking his arms around her waist, Sam chuckled lightly and pressed his forehead against hers, "remember, I know all your secrets Swann."

"Oh really?" Tessa whispered in a playfully challenging tone, "how about the fact that I happened to sneak gum into prom in my dress pockets because I thought the punch was kinda gross last year." She admitted, pulling out a packet of gum and handing Sam a piece as he looked impressed. Pointing a finger at him, she was eager to keep her secrets, "don't you dare tell Coach Sue i said that. She'll hunt me down and I might never been seen again. She said grandmother died in that punch bowl or something confusing like that."

Furrowing his eyebrows, Sam was confused until he remembered it was Coach Sue they were talking about, then just shrugged his shoulders, "I hope she makes you head cheerleader next year because I'm really scared of her and it might make her nicer to me. If she didn't let you and Mike help out at Booty Camp I might have cried."

"I won't be head cheerleader, babe." Tessa laughed, considering even the thought of it to be unrealistic.

"I think you're totally good enough, if that's what you're worried about. You amaze me every time I watch you perform and I know you love it." Sam encouraged her, looking deeply into her eyes, "plus, I think Santana's a pretty reliable source with her Mexican third eye and all that."

Hoping to hide away her blush, Tessa gave him a poke on the chest, "you just want your girlfriend to be the coolest girl in school."

"Hey, you already are, to me anyways." Sam grinned, poking her back, "I am genuinely terrified of Coach Sue and just want you to make her nice to me. I don't think I could cope if she gets any meaner at Booty Camp."

"I'll try my best." Tessa laughed out, "for you. And I'll protect you in Booty Camp, I'll throw myself in front of you like a human shield."

Shaking his head in amusement, Sam twirled her around and attempted to dip her, with the feeling in his stomach that this years prom was going to be even better than the last one.

BLAINE ANDERSON WAS BACK AT PROM. After being caught by Brittany with hair gel in, he'd been sent to the bathroom to unleash his curls. Coming back full of nerves, he was reassured when Kurt reminded him how much he loved him and with his confidence back, he was dancing his way over to Tessa.

Holding him at arms length, Tessa was quick to compliment his hair, knowing his insecurities, "Blaine Warbler, look at you! Super hot." She exclaimed before widening her eyes as she realised his presence at prom, "you came!"

"I did!" He yelled back, jumping up and down on the spot with her out of their own excitements.

"You're here and you look awesome." Tessa beamed.

"Brittany said I look like Mr Broccoli head." Blaine whispered, unsure whether to laugh or be offended.

Struggling to stifle her laugh, Tessa bit her lip as she reached out and stroked the front few curls of his hair, "she didn't mean it like that." She assured him, before a wicked smile played on the corners of her lips, "Mr Broccoli head."

"Okay you're mean and i hate you." Blaine pouted, crossing his arms over his chest.

"You love me and we're totally getting a picture on the dinosaur together because all I have is a thousand with Mike and Tina." Tessa teased lightly, grabbing onto his hand and motioning for him to follow her, "but first, come on, Sam says he's singing me One Direction. As if I couldn't be any more in love."

Willingly going along, Blaine followed her lead as she weaved through the crowd as 'What Makes You Beautiful' began to play, the two of them dancing along together as Sam, Mike, Artie, Joe and Rory serenaded the prom.

Getting to his part, Sam came to the front of the stage, reaching out into the crowd and taking Tessa's hand as he sang, flashing her a wink and bringing her hand up to his lips to plant a kiss against it before the chorus started up again and Tessa was left blushing, having to fight off the teasing from Blaine, Santana and Brittany.

With the song coming to a successful end, the guys took a moment to celebrate their loud applause. As they began to make their way off the stage, Sam held Mike back by his shoulder, full of eager excitement, "I'm gonna do it dude. I think I'm gonna do it."

Quickly catching on, Mike's eyes widened in excitement and he clapped his hands together with a nod of approval, "just go for it." He reminded him, giddily before noticing his nervous breathe and taking Sam by both shoulders, "don't be nervous. Go get your girl."

With the encouragement from Mike, Sam was sure that prom had come at the perfect time, making his way through the crowd towards Tessa.

Thinking it over in his mind a couple of times, Sam knew exactly what he wanted to say and was completely ready to say it until Tessa threw her arms around his neck and looked him deeply in the eyes, taking the words right out of his mouth, "you sure know how to make me fall in love."

"You love me?" Sam questioned, quietly after taking a second to take in what she'd said, a bright smile growing on his lips.

"Yeah." Tessa confirmed after a moment of nervously reading his expression, "yeah, I love you."

Breaking out into uncontrollable smiles, Sam could barely contain his excitement as he replied himself, "I love you too." He sighed happily, cupping her face in his hands and placing a kiss on her lips, both of them smiling into the kiss as they felt truly happy.

Pulling her closer to him as Tessa leant her head against his chest, Sam planted another kiss to the top of her head as they just swayed on the spot together in in time to the music and simply enjoyed the moment together.

Letting out a small laugh, Sam was still over the moon with how his prom had ended up and felt as though he had One Direction to thank, "I knew One Direction would do the trick."

Pulling her head away from his chest to look straight up at him, Tessa chuckled to herself softly with a shrug of her shoulders, "I dunno, I love One Direction, but I love you more."

Just smiling back at her affectionately, Sam took the moment to admire how she looked in the faint light of the glitter ball and felt himself fall in love all over again. Noticing him staring, Tessa bit back a nervous smile and let herself melt further into his arms, "what?" She asked, softly.

"Just that you look beautiful. That's all." Sam whispered.

"You look handsome too. The cutest here by far." Tessa giggled softly as they pressed their foreheads together, "and I feel very lucky to be here dancing with you."

"Same here. Proms just seem to be awesome when I'm with you. A lot of things do actually." Sam shrugged, thinking back to the last years prom, though he was glad that he actually made the move he wanted to make at this one. Saying no more, he pulled Tessa back towards him and let her lean her head back against his chest, sighing contentedly as she was unable to wipe the smile from her face.
