HEY THAT'S US!
VALENTINES DAY WAS RIGHT AROUND THE CORNER AND EVERYONE WAS DOING COUPLEY THINGS. Sitting at the back of the choir room, Tessa had been using the time in glee club to sleep with her head absentmindedly rested against Sam's shoulder. Smiling to himself fondly, Sam was more than happy with this position, going as far as risking placing a small kiss on the top of her head.
With Kurt missing Blaine, he caught sight of the two and wiggled his eyebrows Sam's way, teasing him as he mouthed a playful shut up his way.
Without thought that there might be anyone sleeping in the choir room, Mr Schue ran into the room with a beaming smile and a loud clap of his hands, encouraging them all to begin cheering, "let's hear it for love!"
Used to her falling asleep in the back of his classes, Mr Schue clapped loudly in her direction, causing Tessa to jump awake, rubbing her eyes, "I'm awake. I've always been awake." She mumbled, resting her head back against Sam's shoulder as he took his attention off her.
"Your assignment for Valentine's week is to find and perform the worlds greatest love songs." Mr Schue told them, "now Regionals is next week and we still need to raise two hundred and fifty dollars for costumes and hairspray."
Slumping his head onto his hands, Kurt was quick to complain, "oh god not another bake sale."
Ignoring him, Mr Schue continued on, "if any student gives ten dollars, we sing these world greatest love songs to their Valentine. We will serenade each classroom —" He was quickly cut off by a loud string of no!'s from the room except for Rachel, who seemed pretty keen.
Seeing his confusion at their clear disliking to his idea, Tina had spoken up in explanation, "two years ago, we went room-to-room Christmas carolling, they threw food."
"And shoes." Tessa added on, "unless we want a shoe fight it's not gonna happen. I still blame Mr Schue." She added a whisper, "why else would they throw shoes?"
Sticking her hand right into the air, Sugar had the solution and waited to be called on by Mr Schue, skipping to the front of the room, "here's a spoonful of Sugar for you all. Don't sweat the small stuff, and it's all small stuff when you're rich. So here you go."
Eyes widening as Sugar pushed the full two hundred and fifty dollars towards Mr Schue from inside her bag, Sam and Tessa's mouths dropped open, "she just carries that around?"
Still in shock, Mr Schue shook his head in response, trying to push the money back her way, "no, Sugar, we can't take that." He stammered.
"Take it!" Kurt demanded, loudly.
Hesitantly taking the money from Sugar, Mr. Schue shrugged his shoulders and smiled at her gratefully, "alright, everyone give it up for Sugar for paying our finalNet and cumberbunds!"
Gushing as everyone clapped for her, Sugar opened up her arms and soaked in the applause, "i love the sound of applause, even if I have to buy it." Finally putting her hands down, she moved on to what she'd wanted to say, "okay everyone look under your chairs! Except you Artie, your chair kept moving so I hid your surprise in the wastebasket."
Digging out the chocolates from underneath the chair, Tessa frowned with confusion, "how did I not see these?"
Slipping an arm over her shoulders, Sam gave her a teasing smile, "you were asleep, darling. Can't see with your eyes closed, I've tried it."
Letting out a small laugh, Tessa shoved him away slightly, only to lean back against his side moments later with a nod towards Puck who had a guilty smile on his chocolate covered face, "guess Puck didn't find finding his too hard."
Shaking his head in amusement, they turned their attention back to Sugar, "V-day is my fave day ever and to help me celebrate, my daddy's throwing me a huge, ridic party at Breadstix, and I'm naming it the Sugar Shack and drum roll Rachel — you're all invited! But you have to bring a date. No single people are allowed, they're sad and boring and don't exist in my world."
"But you're single?" Mercedes questioned, skeptically as she glanced around the room.
Lowering the sunglasses from her eyes, she flashed them a confident wink, "not for long."
As the bell rang, the glee club began to file out of the choir room. Wrapping an arm over Tessa's shoulders, Sam was full of optimism and excited questions, "you think you know who you're gonna take to the Sugar Shack, yet?"
"Well I know who I'd like to go with." She replied, flashing a playful smile his way, "just whether he'd like to go with me."
"I'm sure he would." Sam answered, quickly, a glimmer of hope in his eyes, "he thinks you're awesome."
"Well I think he's awesome too." Tessa whispered, placing a kiss to Sam's cheek before sliding away from underneath his arm and too her next class.

OF COURSE PUCK WAS BRAGGING ABOUT BAGGING A WHOLE SORORITY AS HIS DATE TO THE VALENTINES DAY PARTY. With everyone interrogating each other about their dates, the people who knew him best didn't know why they were so surprised when Puck had began to tell them about the dates he'd managed to get himself.
Exchanging disgusted glances with Tina, Tessa was questioning her own previous choices as she saw the pride in Puck's face and rolled her eyes, "you're not really taking a whole sorority to Sugar's V-day party?"
"Sure am." He replied cockily, wiggling his eyebrows at her, and shrugging his shoulders, "jealous? You could join us if you wanted." Dodging as she threw a fry his way, Puck had continued on with his confident streak, "they don't call them E-Z-Dee-Zee's for nothing. I got a job cleaning the sorority house swimming pool and I sawed through those chicks like a freaking sex tornado."
Exaggeratedly gagging over Tina's way, Tessa shot him a glare as Rory's face lit up with admiration, "you're amazing."
"He's an idiot." Tessa laughed, dodging as Puck threw a fry back at her in retaliation, "I tried the true love thing."
"With a teacher." She fought back jokingly, earning herself a high five from Mike as she threw another fry Puck's way as glared at her.
Putting a hand over Tessa's to stop her from starting another food fight, Tina gave her a giddy smile in the hopes of getting all the gossip, "speaking of true love... you're going with Sam aren't you Tess? You better be."
Wiggling his eyebrows at her, Puck made kissy noises her way, "yeah, otherwise she can't go. Imagine being single."
Throwing a look his way, Tessa turned back to Tina with a soft smile, "he hasn't asked me."
Pointing a finger directly at her over Tina's shoulder, Mike could barely contain his excitement as he realized he knew something the others didn't, "that doesn't mean he won't!"
"Or I could ask him." Tessa chuckled, not catching on to Mike's grin.
Sighing contentedly, Tina slid down so her head was resting on her arms, "you two are just the cutest. I just want you two to get together already. It's almost Valentine's Day, I deserve this, you deserve this. Give the world what we want."
Patting Tina on the back, slightly scared from her intense stare, Mike gave his girlfriend a supportive smile as Tessa chuckled nervously, turning around to listen to Kurt gush over his gorilla-grams which he thought was from his 'secret admirer', Blaine.
Wanting more and more gossip, Tina had turned her attention away from Tessa and onto Rory, "what about you Rory? Who are you gonna take to Sugar's party?"
"Sugar." He answered, confidently.
Mouth hanging open in offense, Artie held out a hand, "hold up, you better have an option B because I'm already all over that."
"You're going with Sugar?" Rory questioned, in a challenging tone.
"As soon as I ask her out and she says yes, which she will, because I don't want to be mean, Irish, but nobody understands anything you say."
"Baloney, chicks dig accents." Rory denied, narrowing his eyes at him, still full of confidence.
Hoping to throw him off, Artie faked a confused expression his way, "oh I'm sorry, what was that? Couldn't quite make it out."
Trying to intervene, Puck sat forward to catch both of their attentions as Tessa, Tina, Mike and Kurt all sat back, just enjoying the drama, "fellas, no need to fight, you can just pick up the girls that fall off the old Puckersaurus here."
Reaching into his pocket, Rory pulled out a four-leaf clover and thrusted it into Artie's face, "this is a four-leaf clover, kid. Cause you're gonna need all the luck you can get."
"Do you people just carry those around?" Kurt asked, curiously as Artie and Rory glared at each other intensely, ready to face off for Sugar's affection and Tina took a grab for the four leaf clover, hoping for some luck.

SAM EVANS WAS EXCITED ABOUT SOMETHING. As he bounced around the choir room with a suspicious amount of energy, nobody questioned his excitement and took it as normal. Positive that nothing could interrupt him, Sam had his whole plan lined up and with only two people knowing what he had in store, they'd found themselves in charge of stopping him from bursting.
With an announcement to be made, Rachel and Finn took centre stage as everyone sat down, "Finn and I are proud to announce... that we're finally getting married!"
"Ooh! A wedding!" Tessa clapped her hands together optimistically above the shocked silence.
"When's the baby's due date?" Puck asked with a big smile on his face.
Unsure by his favourite students decisions, Mr Schue had scanned the room to see some faces as skeptical as his and spoke up, "wait, have you both carefully thought this through?"
"Yes, and our parents are totally behind us." Rachel said confidently, "and your plan to stop us by telling them totally backfired, Mr Schue."
"Actually, I'm the one who told them," Kurt called out, "because I think that you're both making a huge mistake."
"When's the wedding?" Tessa asked, through a grin.
Glad to be distracted from her disappointment at her best friend's disapproval, Rachel gave Tessa a soft smile in reply, "the date is TBD, but I can assure you that we're gonna have a very simple and elegant ceremony at the Justice of the Peace, which you're all invited to. And we're registered at the Samuel French."
Quick to show her disapproval alongside Kurt, Quinn furrowed her eyebrows, "you guys aren't mature enough or old enough for this type of commitment."
"If you don't support us then I feel sorry for you and you're not invited to the wedding." Rachel told them, taking in a sharp breathe to compose herself, "which makes me really sad because I would've loved to see you in a bridesmaids dress Quinn, and you too Kurt."
"I'd be happy to be a bridesmaid Rachel." Tina spoke up, sticking one hand into the air and taking Mike's in the other, "I'm not sure I'm ready to get married, but i do know what being in love feels like."
Nodding with a squeeze of her hand, Mike have them a supportive smile, "we'll be there."
Flashing them a grateful smile, Finn nodded in reply, "thanks guys, and we hope the rest of you all change your minds because it would really mean a lot to both of us if you were all there."
"Well add me to the list of people who are wishing you guys the best in your marriage." Artie smiled, wheeling himself to the front and beckoning for Sam to get up and follow him as he shooed Finn and Rachel away, "however let's stop the fighting and remind ourselves that Valentine's Day is rapidly approaching, so if you'll excuse me, Sam and I have some sugary sweet game to spit."
Slipping his guitar over his shoulders, Sam smiled nervously and continued to speak as he locked eyes with Tessa at the back of the room, watching him with a sparkle in her eyes, "yeah, uh this is for you, Tess."
As everyone spun to look her way with pure excitement, Tessa felt the blush coming to her cheeks and wasn't even trying to hide her quickly growing smile from coming to her lips whilst Mike held two thumbs up Sam and Artie's way, more than excited just to be in on the secret.
[SONG — LOVE BUG BY THE JONAS BROTHERS, SANG BY SAM EVANS AND ARTIE ABRAMS]
Throughout the duration of the song, Sam had kept his eyes on Tessa whilst Artie was showing off all his best tricks to win over Sugar. Biting her lip, Tessa danced along in her seat, the fluttery feeling in her stomach only getting bigger from the combination of the song, the guitar and the fact that her and Sam couldn't keep their eyes off each other.
Finishing the song with a triumphant grin, Artie was pleased to see that Sugar had been completely entranced by his song, and had a look of pure confidence on his face as she'd jumped out of her seat and onto his lap.
When Sam just came back to his seat without another word, Tessa couldn't help but feel a pang of disappointment. With the song and everything, she was deep down hoping for something else which she now thought wasn't coming.
Wrapping his arm around her shoulders, Sam had leaned in close, pressing a gentle kiss to her forehead before whispering into her ear, "be my girl?"
Turning to face him, Tessa broke out into a beaming smile, cupping his face in her hands, "I'm all yours." She whispered back, leaning forward and pulling him into a kiss.
Smiling against her lips, Sam put a hand to her waist, pulling her closer to him. Finally pulling away, they were both giddy with smiles, pressing their foreheads against one another's as if it was just them in the back of the choir room together. Delighted, Tessa tore away her gaze from her boyfriend and scooted her chair right up close to his, resting her head against his arm and holding his hand in hers.

SANTANA, RACHEL AND TESSA WERE TALKING IN THE COURTYARD. Unusually, Santana was keen to show Rachel that she had her full support in her upcoming wedding, "I know I didn't speak up in class, but I wanted to say that I'm one hundred percent behind you. I fully support your decision to be unhappy with Finn for the rest of your lives, you should be able to love whoever you want."
Knowing that Santana was still rightly upset about someone reporting her and Brittany, Tessa gave her shoulder a gentle squeeze before spinning round to face Rachel with a smile, "yeah, I agree. I'm totally happy for you two."
"Thank you." Rachel smiled genuinely, grateful for the support before an excited grin grew on her lips, reaching out to poke Tessa on the arm, "and I'm happy for you too, you and Sam are finally together!"
Holding a hand over her heart, Santana had taken it as a personal achievement and with the giddy smile on Tessa's lips, she felt extremely proud, "I'm so proud." She gushed in a whisper, "but if he ever hurts you, I'm gonna go all Lima Heights."
"I think I'll be okay. I feel safe with Sam." Tessa smiled, appreciatively, looking to the floor to hide her blush, "I really, really like him." She admitted, shuffling her feet along the ground lightly. She meant it, she felt so lucky to have someone like Sam and she was glad that they'd finally been given their chance to get back together.
Bouncing up and down on the spot and squealing, Rachel hadn't noticed Mercedes and the God Squad tap her on her back for her attention, "excuse me, are you Miss Rachel Berry?"
"Uh, yeah?" Rachel nodded, growing confused.
"Well we're the God Squad and we're hear to sing you a vocal Valentine from one Finn Hudson." Mercedes explained as Sam snuck a glance to Tessa, giving her an excited wave, which she proudly returned.
[SONG — STEREO HEARTS, SANG BY THE GOD SQUAD]
Watching as Rachel's smile grew even larger, Santana decided she'd had enough of her company and threw herself down on a nearby bench and patting for Tessa to sit down besides her. Nodding her head towards the God Squad, Santana couldn't help but scowl, "I'm sure it was one of them who reported me."
In an attempt of keeping her calm, Tessa put a hand on her knee and squeezed it gently, "it's stupid. The cutest couple in school should be allowed to kiss whenever they want."
"Exactly." Santana huffed, leaning her head down on Tessa's shoulder and listening along to the song, only looking up to catch Tessa's reaction as Sam handed her a flower from the table above them so she could spend the rest of the day teasing her about it.
As the song came to an end and the courtyard erupted in applause, with Rachel clapping the loudest out of everyone, Santana stood from her seat and made her way over to face the God Squad.
Quickly following along, Tessa stood up on her tip toes to place a kiss to Sam's cheek then ran round to stand behind Santana, shooting a thumbs up his way, "so you guys are a Christian group?" Seeing them nodding back at her, she licked her lips, "and if I pay, I can send a vocal Valentine to anyone I want, right?"
"Ten bucks." The new guy, Joe told her, cheerfully, "that's the deal."
"Well awesome." Santana said with a clever grin, pulling some money from her pocket and stepping forward to place it into the guitar, "in that case, I'd like to send one to my girlfriend, Brittany. And by that I don't mean my friend who's a girl, I mean my girlfriend girlfriend, how does that sound?"
Sensing a bit of discomfort from the nervous silence, Tessa sent Santana a small smile as she dug around in her pocket, pulling out a ten dollar bill and holding it up with pride, "and another one for me please. Can you send Kurt one of his favorite songs? I think he'd like that. And if he thinks it's from Blaine, just let him be."
"You got it, baby." Sam grinned, taking the money from her before Santana could take her by the crook of her arm and spin around, walking away from the courtyard together.

THE ONLY THING THAT WAS MORE EXTRAVAGANT THAN THE SUGAR SHACK WAS SUGAR HERSELF. Walking into Breadstix with her hand held in Sam's, Tessa let out an amused chuckle as she took in the glitter and the pink lighting and the hearts everywhere. Glancing towards Sugar and seeing her excitement, she couldn't help but crack a smile.
As Sam ran off to sing to Brittany and Santana with the God Squad, Tessa found herself dancing excitedly around the dance floor, taking Kurt's hand and pulling him up from his thoughts, letting him twirl her underneath his arm and have a bit of well deserved fun with the absence of Blaine Anderson taking its toll.
Pumping her fist in the air as they finished and took their bows, Tessa cheered loudly, "that's my boyfriend!" She whooped, pointing Sam out to the crowd, before turning to Kurt with a dreamy sigh, "how lucky am I?"
"You are adorable." Kurt pouted, shaking her shoulders and giving her a shove towards Sam as he jumped off the stage, "now go get your man."
With a last beaming glance towards Kurt, Tessa found herself in Sam's arms as Sugar snatched up the microphone for the next announcement, "okay everyone it's time for my extra-special guest, back from the dead and cute and compact as ever —"
Pointing to the door, everyone had spun round to see Blaine Anderson walk through the door, grinning as he pulled off his eyepatch.
Throwing her hands into the air excitedly, Tessa waved them around as she caught the attention of Blaine, holding a love heart shape his way, "Blaine! I missed you!" She yelled, both of them reaching out for a high five from each other as he strutted up to them and Kurt as the introduction to 'Love Shack' began to play.
"I missed you too Tess!" He called out in response, before dancing up to the stage to sing, "this song is dedicated to all the lovers in the room."
Buzzing from everything happening around her, Tessa sunk back into Sam's embrace, her smile growing bigger by the second, "hey, that's us!" She grinned, wrapping her arms around his neck and pulling herself closer to him as they danced together thought giggling smiles, singing along to the music excitedly.
"Yeah, that is us." Sam confirmed, with proud grin, feeling grateful to be able to finally call her his girlfriend in front of everyone.
Taking a bit of a risk, Sam gazed at her with a glimmer in his eyes before attempting to dip her, staring at her lovingly for a moment before connecting their lips in a deep kiss. Smiling against his lips, Tessa kept her arms wrapped tightly around him laughing as he pulled her back up, only managing a small chuckle before her lips were on his again.
