"Oh my goodness! I heard the fire alarm go off in this room!" Mrs.Lee exclaimed, barging in the dorm after seeing the black fumes smoke come out from the window of the dorm from downstairs.

The beeping sounds coming from the dorm further confirmed her suspicions.

"Oh hi, Mrs.Lee?" Soobin greeted his teacher, trying to hide the view of the kitchen behind his back.

"What happened here? The entire room is filled with smoke and what smells so bad?" She walked further into the dorm to inspect the situation better.

"It does not smell bad! How can baked detergent smell bad?" Beomgyu got defensive over his invention.

The others' face palmed at his confession as they pretended to not know anything and avoided eye contact with their teacher.

"Why did you have to say that,you idiot?" Briar mumbled and nudged Beomgyu hard with her elbow.

"You guys baked detergent?" She gasped, hearing Beomgyu's words and hurried towards the kitchen.

"It is a new type of chemical react-" Kai was interrupted by Mrs.Lee glaring at him.

"I am your chemistry teacher. Should I remind you of that?" She scoffed at the boy's attempt of defending his friend.

"It was a mistake. Beomgyu thought the detergent was flour", Taehyun calmly explained, gesturing towards the packet of detergent sitting in the kitchen.

"Like how your answers suddenly change at the last minute every time during the tests by themself?" Taehyun's eyes widened at her words.

"Why does she have to bring that up at a time like this now? Why does it have to be in front of everyone? She knows exactly how that happens", He thought as he stared blankly at the ground, clenching his fist, trying his best to hide his anger.

"I apologize if I sound rude but that has nothing to do with our situation here, Ma'am?" A brave voice spoke, witnessing Taehyun's crestfallen face.

Taehyun looked towards the owner of the voice and there he was, Yang Jungwon, bravely standing up to his teacher when he just joined the school today.

"And who might you be?" Mrs.Lee gave Jungwon a tight lipped smile, witnessing a new face.

"I am Yang Jungwon. I just joined today. I am sorry if my words offended you", He introduced himself with a smile.

"I am Mrs.Lee, your Chemistry teacher. We will be seeing each other a lot", She gave him a fake smile and a look that said "Watch as I fail you in my exam".

"All of you clean up the kitchen" She ordered, grimacing at the sight of the kitchen.

"And you, finish all of your 'stolen' assignments and hand it over first thing next week", She snarled at Taehyun and gave Jungwon one last look before exiting the dorm.

"I will deal with you later" She thought,l ooking at the purple haired boy.

"Ugh! I wish I had fried that witch in the oven instead", Beomgyu stuck out his tongue after she left.

"Then the dorm would've smelt more trashy" Everyone looked amused at Yeonjun's comeback.

"Are you okay? Don't mind her words. She is just salty that she couldn't change that brat's grades in any other subjects except for her one" , Soobin rolled his eyes at his teacher's attempt of making Taehyun feel bad.

"It is quite obvious that she has been replacing your assignments to make it seem like Vivre's one", Maeve grumbled.

"She can do that?" Jungwon's eyes widened in shock at the discovery.

"Vivre, the one that died,was her niece", Briar was interrupted by Kai clearing his throat.

"And Kai is her nephew too. Vivre used to somehow barely pass in all of the other subjects but when it came to Chemistry, somehow she always got the highest grades", Briar continued to explain, avoiding Kai's eyes on her as she accused his sister and aunt.

"Every time Vivre got the highest grades, somehow my grades always came out to be the lowest in Chemistry. I am pretty sure I wrote all the correct answers and my tutor always said that they were correct whenever I checked with him. And somehow whenever Mrs.Lee returned all the graded exam papers, I always received the one which was definitely not mine", Taehyun sighed as he held his head in his hands, thinking about how wronged he felt whenever he tried to confront her.

"Vivre even stole his project and passed it off as her own!" Beomgyu further added.

Jungwon gasped as he heard all of those accusations. When he first saw Taehyun, he could tell that he is the type to be the top of every school work. So it was quite apparent to him that they're in fact telling the truth.

"And judging by that look she gave you,you are her next target", Maeve confirmed as she grimaced thinking about what their teacher is going to do to the purple haired boy.

"I am so sorry", Taehyun silently apologized, feeling apologetic towards his new friend that got into trouble for simply defending him.

"Don't worry about me, please.That teacher needs to be reported", Jungwon fumed, seeing how scared his friends were for him.

"She keeps failing me whenever I talk to her about it saying that I am accusing her without any proof", Taehyun mumbled, his friends looked at him with a worried look.

It was unfair how she has been stealing his work and targeting him since the first day

It was unfair how he always got the lowest in her subject but got the highest in other ones

It was unfair how his confrontations earned him more detentions than those marks that she stole

It was unfair how she kept partnering her niece with him on every group work just so she could pass off his hardwork as her own

All of these just because of her niece?

Maybe that's why he decided to kill her niece off
