Chapter 46 ~ Beg Her Now For One More Day
Episode: Season 3 - No Rest for the Wicked Pt. 3
"Ruby was a very bad girl. So I sent her far, far away,"
"You know, I should've seen it before," Dean piped up, "But you all look alike to me."
She glowered at Dean before stalking over to Sam. While she was preoccupied, I leaned as close as I could to Dean.
"What are we gonna do?" I whispered and he frowned, shaking his head.
Well, this was just great. He didn't know either. I rolled my eyes. Typical Dean. When I turned back around, I saw Lilith kissing Sam. I couldn't help the "Ew!" that erupted from my mouth to which Dean grinned at.
When she pulled away, she smiled at Sam.
"Your lips are soft," she cooed and I recoiled.
"TMI, woman," I coughed into my hand and she sent me withering glare before looking back up at Sam.
"All right, so you have me. Let my brother and friend go," he insisted.
"Silly goose. You want a bargain, you have to have something that I want," she said before tsking at him, "You don't,"
"So this your big plan, huh? Drag me to Hell, kill Sam and Parker, and then what? Become queen?" he snapped.
"I don't have to answer to puppy chow," she answered, stepping away from Sam.
She walked to the middle of the room then and opened the door, a smirk on her face, "Sic him, boys,"
Hellhounds barked loudly as they came tearing into the room, invisible except for the stench of their fur coats and growls emitted from their throats. They pulled Dean off the table and he fell to the floor with a loud thud.
"DEAN!" I shouted, trying to wriggle free.
But it was useless. I couldn't fight the demon's power that held me here. The hounds began to tear into his flesh and Dean cried out.
"No! Stop!" Sam yelled at Lilith.
But she just watched with an amused expression on her face. Blood spurted from Dean's wounds and I felt hot tears brim in my brown eyes. Dean screamed again loudly and I struggled against the wall.
"STOP IT! STOP IT!" I shouted over and over.
Long claw marks scratched down Dean's t-shirt, exposing ripped skin. More blood oozed out, staining his off-white t-shirt a dark red.
"No, no, no, no, no..." I mumbled, feeling the tears trekking down my cheeks as I watched him being devoured by these things.
Blood was covering him now and he had stopped screaming, his eyes dulling. Lilith lifted up her hand up to me and Sam then and it glowed brightly before slowly diminishing. Sam and I fell down from the wall, landing in crumpled heaps on the floor. Her eyes registered shock, almost as if something had gone wrong. Was that supposed to have hurt us? We got up off the floor and Sam took a step towards her.
"Back!" she said, raising up a hand to no avail, "I said back!"
Suddenly, I spotted the demon blade lying on the floor by Sam's shoe. Grabbing it, I turned to her.
"I don't think so." I snarled venomously before making a move to stab her.
Screaming, she quickly left the body, black smoke swirling out of her mouth and up into the air. Ruby's body dropped to the ground, unconscious as the smoke dissipated from the house. My eyes turned to the sight I hadn't wanted to see then and the blade fell from my hand. Dean. He lay in a pool of blood on the wooden floor and Sam and I slowly walked over to him. I let out a choked sob, falling to my knees beside Dean's lifeless body.
Sam sat across from me, holding onto his big brother's hand. Tears streamed down his face as he cried. Gently, I lifted Dean's head and placed it onto my lap. His candy-apple green eyes were glazed over, unseeing. Hot tears ran down my skin, blurring my vision as even more clogged my throat.
"Dean..." I sobbed, running my fingers through strands of his short, blond hair, now matted with blood.
In my mind, I kept telling myself that it wasn't happening. It wasn't real. He couldn't be gone. No! NO! He couldn't be. But as I gazed down at him, I knew it was over. He'd already left us... And...and I never got to say goodbye. Rocking him back and forth, hiccuping sobs racked my body as I held him tightly.
"I loved you...I loved you!" I cried out in agony, the pain overwhelming.
It felt like I couldn't breathe in that moment, like my whole world was shattered into pieces. What was my life without Dean? I couldn't live without him. I didn't want to.
"I loved you, Dean Winchester..." I choked out, my arm wrapping around him as I clung to him for dear life, "I loved you so much..."
