Before starting this--my personal view is that when Sirius escaped Azkaban he probably stole a wand...cos he would be an idiot not too

so im gonna say that Sirius had a wand.

With Cassie

Cassie stormed off, her steps heavy with anger, her heart pounding with frustration. The crumpled letter in her hand  her mind raced with a whirlwind of emotions.

She ascended a staircase absentmindedly, her thoughts consumed by her pathetic uncle,....The shifting stairs beneath her feet went unnoticed

"Bloody Lucius," she grumbled setting fire to the letter in hand

Worst of all, Draco still didn't admit that he was the one in the wrong. It grated on Cassie's nerves, the injustice of it all gnawing at her from within. She could still fight the case, but in the end, would it even matter? no-one would believe the daughter of Sirius Black

Shaking away the thoughts , Cassie looked around, suddenly realizing where she was. The shifting staircase had carried her to the third floor, .

As she glanced around the dimly lit corridor, something caught her eye. A figure, messy-haired and shabbily dressed, hurried toward the statue of Gunhilda of Gorsemoor, known as the One-Eyed Witch.

Cassie's heart skipped a beat as recognition dawned on her.

"Sirius Black?" she whispered to herself, hardly daring to believe it.

Without a second thought, she dashed forward, her footsteps echoing off the stone walls.

Sirius seemed oblivious to her presence as he tapped on the witch's hump, uttering something under his breath. The statue swung open, revealing a hidden passage beyond.

Cassie's feet carried her right behind him,

"Brachiabindo!"

But Sirius was quicker, his reflexes honed by years of evasion and survival. With a flick of his wand, he conjured a shield, his eyes briefly meeting Cassie's, not recognizing her

"Silencio!" he exclaimed, cutting off any protest from Cassie with a wave of his wand.

Desperation surged within her as she lunged forward, grabbing his hand and pulling him back. Cassie was fairly strong for her age ,while Sirius, thin and starved from years of prison

"Flipendo!" Sirius shouted, his wand aimed squarely at Cassie's chest. The force of the spell was jarring, the impact sending shockwaves through her body.

Ordinarily, the spell's effects would have been minimal, but the proximity of the attack amplified its potency. Cassie felt a sharp pain radiate from her chest, a sickening crack echoing in her ears

She went flying back, her head hitting the stone wall the world spun around her, the dull ache in her chest intensifying

she slumped to the ground, her body limp and motionless, a pool of blood began to form beneath her head, staining the cold stone floor crimson.

Sirius's expression briefly clouded with regret, made a hasty retreat from the scene, leaving Cassie alone in the dimly lit passage

**********

"You should've seen professor head when I told him about Sirius Black. Priceless, it was!" Peeves gloated excitedly zooming towards the third floor

His tone quickly shifted from amusement to concern as he noticed Cassiopeia lying motionless her breathing raspy as if her body was struggling to take in air.

"Miss Cassie," Peeves wailed

"Professor! Head!" he blubbered, his ghostly voice echoing through the vast space zooming off towards the great hall

Dumbledore was confounded when he opened the door to find peeves blubbering about

hurt; cassie; third floor

"Minerva, call Madam Pomfrey," He instructed, following peeves out of the hall

The Slytherin group immediately walked forward intending to follow him

Pansy was a mess, tears streaming down her cheeks, while Draco was mortified, mumbling about how it was all his fault. If only he hadn't fought with her, she wouldn't have left.

Snape intercepted them before they could reach the entrance. "Where do you think you all are going?" he demanded, his voice sharp.

"To Cassie," Theo replied bravely,

"No, you are not. Go and sleep, it's not safe," Snape ordered, his tone stern.

"She is our friend, and we are going," Blaise stated firmly

Snape scowled at him but relented, "Fine," he said grudgingly,

****************

As Dumbledore arrived on the scene, his usually composed demeanor faltered for a moment as he took in the sight before him.

Beside him, Madam Pomfrey and McGonagall's eyes widened imperceptibly, a gasp escaping their lips as they took in the sight of the motionless Slytherin who was pale from blood loss struggling to breathe

Madam Pomfrey worked swiftly, muttering spells to staunch the flow of blood from the wound on Cassie's head. But despite her efforts, Cassie's breathing remained labored

"It appears her rib is fractured, puncturing her lung," Madam Pomfrey remarked "She needs to be attended immediately" she said glancing at Dumbledore who nodded and muttered a spell floating Cassie's limp body in front of him

"Cassie!" Pansy's voice rang out, filled with shock and fear as she watched her friend being carried away.

McGonagall turned to Snape, "What are they doing here, Severus?"

"They wouldn't agree... kept saying something about friendship," Snape scowled at the students who were stalk white seeing the condition of cassie

Draco stood frozen, his heart heavy with guilt and regret. His mind raced with a torrent of thoughts, each more agonizing than the last. "This is all my fault," he whispered

"Mate you didn't know" Blaise reasoned

Pansy was crying harder than ever and Theo was just there. pale white. his expression etched with fear

As they moved to follow Cassie to the hospital wing, McGonagall halted them. "Not now, children," she said firmly. "Cassie needs medical attention. You can visit her later."

Draco's voice trembled as he pleaded, "Please, Professor, we'll be good. We won't disturb her. Please."

McGonagall exchanged a glance with Snape, her expression softening with sympathy. "Very well," she relented, nodding her approval.

********************

In the hospital wing, Madam Pomfrey worked tirelessly on Cassie, her potions flying around and spells muttered under her breath. The atmosphere was tense as the teachers discussed with Dumbledore.

"Think it was Sirius, Headmaster?" Lupin asked, his concern evident as he glanced towards the curtains drawn around Cassie's bed.

"Obviously," drawled Snape, his voice dripping with disdain.

Dumbledore nodded solemnly.

"You remember the conversation we had, Headmaster, just before the start of term?" Snape's words were barely audible as he spoke through clenched teeth.

"I do, Severus," replied Dumbledore, a hint of warning in his tone.

"It seems almost impossible that Black could have entered the school without inside help. I did express my concerns when you appointed--" He glanced pointedly at Lupin, who looked embarrassed.

"I do not believe a single person inside this castle would have helped Black enter it," declared Dumbledore firmly, shutting down any further discussion on the matter.

"We have to inform the Malfoys, Dumbledore," McGonagall insisted, prompting Dumbledore to nod and summon Fawkes.

Meanwhile, the Slytherin group hardly paid attention, their minds consumed by worry. Pansy had finally calmed down after a calming draught from Madam Pomfrey, but they all kept glancing anxiously at the curtains surrounding Cassie's bed. The night passed in silence, each of them lost in their own thoughts, not wanting to say anything.

The next morning, Madam Pomfrey emerged, announcing that Cassie was stable but still unconscious. Minerva gently forced the group out, urging them to freshen up and eat something.

*********************************************************

The whole school buzzed with the news of Cassie's attack.

As they walked into the Great Hall, looking dejected, whispers erupted around them.

An idiotic fourth-year Ravenclaw thought it wise to make a remark as he exited the hall beside them. "Don't know why everyone is surprised," he scoffed. "That bitch had it coming."

Theo's rage boiled over, and he turned towards the Ravenclaw, his expression twisted with anger. Without a second thought, he roughly grabbed the boy's collar, shoving him to the ground and striking him repeatedly across the face. Draco and Blaise rushed forward, pulling him away from the battered Ravenclaw.

"Mr. Nott!" Professor Flitwick's voice rang out as he arrived on the scene. "Detention!"

Grumbling, Theo massaged his bloody knuckles as he walked out of the hall, closely followed by the rest of the group.

Theo's hurried steps echoed down the corridor as he rushed towards the hospital wing, his friends trailing behind him in surprise. Blaise, who had known Theo for three years as his roommate, was taken aback by the sight. Never before had he seen Theo lose his temper so completely.

Draco's eyes widened in disbelief as he caught sight of an unexpected visitor standing outside the hospital wing. "Mother?" he uttered, his voice barely above a whisper.

Narcissa Malfoy, was engaged in a relentless argument with Dumbledore, her voice filled with concern and frustration.

By her side stood an unfamiliar man with brown hair and broad face looking devastated

"How was there a breach in security, Dumbledore?" Narcissa demanded, her voice edged with frustration.

"We have no idea how Sirius Black entered," Dumbledore replied calmly, . "This will only be answered when Miss Black wakes up. I assure you, security will be strengthened."

Pansy's whispered to Draco, "Who is that man?"

"I think it's her adopted father," he replied softly, his thoughts racing.

Draco stepped forward,  as he approached his mother.

"Draco," Narcissa acknowledged, pulling him into a side hug,

"It was all my fault," Draco whispered, his voice heavy with guilt. "It was because of our fight she left."

Narcissa shook her head gently, her expression softening. "It wasn't your fault, Draco," she reassured him. "No one's fault except that of Sirius Black."

"I'd like to see my daughter now Dumbledore" the man beside Narcissa spoke in his deep voice

Dumbledore nodded solemnly, leading the man toward the curtained bed where Cassie lay,

They held back, respecting the privacy of the moment, the group stayed back with Narcissa...only glancing to get a look at their friend

"She looks so pale," Pansy whispered tearfully, her heart aching for her friend.

"She'll be fine dear" Narcissa reassured

***************

Inside the curtains. (if thats how u say it)

The man, after ensuring the curtains were securely sealed and casting a silencing charm, waved his wand The heavy transfigurations concealing his true appearance dissipated like mist, revealing the distressed Regulus Black.

Regulus gently rubbed Cassie's hand,  "If you had just used the bracelet, Cassie," he whispered softly,  "I swear I'll fucking kill Sirius, Cassie. Just wake up."

Cassie twitched slightly under his touch Cassie's eyelids fluttered as she struggled to adjust to the brightness. She groaned softly, her head pounding with each movement. groaning as the after effects of the concussion took place her head pounding

Her vision was blurred at first, but as her eyes adjusted to the brightness, she made out the figure of her father.

"Dad?" she croaked, her voice hoarse

"What the fuck are you doing here?" she asked,  "Do you want to get killed?"

Regulus chuckled softly,  he waved his wand to bring back his transfigured look

"Don't worry, Cassie. I came disguised as Mr. Pierre," he explained,

"Oh ok then" Cassie winced as the throbbing pain in her head intensified. "Fucking hell, my head," she muttered,

"Language," he chided jokingly

With a wave of his wand, Regulus removed the charms on the curtains, signaling for Madam Pomfrey to attend to Cassie.

As the group outside heard the news of Cassie waking up, they erupted into excited shouts. Theo moved forward eagerly, but Madam Pomfrey stopped him in his tracks.

"Mr. Nott, let me check her first," she insisted firmly

Theo groaned and stood there, tapping his foot impatiently while Madam Pomfrey examined Cassie. She gave an approved huff. "Yes, she is fine...but she is going to be here for two days till the aftereffects of the concussion wear off."

"Hell no," Cassie groaned. "Come on, Poppy, I'm fine."

Madam Pomfrey firmly shook her head. "Miss Black, you had a cracked skull, broken ribs, punctured lung. You can't be dismissed."

Cassie frowned irritably as Pomfrey left, muttering about informing Dumbledore. Regulus helped Cassie sit up, and the Slytherin group hurried forward to see their friend.

Draco burst in with a string of apologies...his eyes red. He looked like he had been crying. They all did actually
"Cassie, I'm sorry...it was all my fault... I'll write a letter to father to drop the case," he mumbled.

Pansy rushed forward to give a hug. Cassie groaned slightly. "Careful, Pansy, you'll break my ribs again."

Pansy grinned "And there is that irritable witch who I love so much"

Blaise just stood there. "Good thing you got up, Cassie...Theo was about to kill half the school in rage."

Cassie looked surprised but chuckled. "Why, Nott?"

Theo was standing the farthest. "I told you not to go after Sirius," he muttered.

Cassie groaned. "Not this again, Theo. I ran into him. There's a difference."

"You could have called for help,"

"He is right"  Regulus agreed, his voice unusually deep as Mr Pierre

"Sure, gang up on me when I'm half dead and can't hex you," Cassie mumbled.

The group chuckled, smiles finally forming on their faces.

"It's good to see you awake, Miss Black," Dumbledore's voice echoed as he arrived, followed by Snape and Lupin.

"If you all don't mind, we would like to ask Miss Black some questions," Dumbledore stated.

Narcissa immediately refused. "She just woke up, Dumbledore. I'm sure it can wait."

"It's fine," Cassie reassured.

The group grudgingly left until it was only Cassie and Regulus.

"So, Headmaster?" Cassie prompted.

"Can you describe your encounter with Sirius?" Dumbledore asked.

"I can. But I won't say anything in front of him," she said pointedly, looking at Lupin.

Regulus noticed him for the first time. Lupin? Sirius's friend? The werewolf? What is he doing here?

"Miss Black, I told you before, I trust him," Dumbledore reasoned.

"Well, I don't," she stated firmly.

"It's fine, Professor. I'll leave," Lupin said, nodding at Cassie, respecting her decision.

Once he left, Severus muttered silencing charms.

"Alright, then," Dumbledore said.

"So, after I left, I didn't realize that I had reached the third floor. That's where I saw him...I don't remember where, but it looked like he was trying to escape? Maybe from the stairs? I honestly don't remember."

"It's alright, continue, Miss Black," Dumbledore encouraged.

"So then I followed him, I think, and tried to cast the binding curse. But he deflected it and silenced me. Obviously, I tried to physically pull him back. That's how much I remember. I think he cast a curse?"

Dumbledore and Severus exchanged glances, nodding.

"How did he get in, though?" Regulus asked.

"I bet it was Lupin," Cassie muttered.

Snape nodded in agreement, and Dumbledore looked exasperatedly between them, as if they were a bunch of kids stuck on a point.

"Very well, thank you for your help, Miss Black," Dumbledore said, getting up

"Anytime Dumbles" Cassie said cheerfully

"Cassie!" Regulus said sharply hiding his smile

"Im sure I told you not to use that undignified nickname Miss Black" Dumbledore said chuckling getting up

"Sorry, Professor," Cassie said, trying to look contrite but failing as a grin threatened to break through. "Force of habit, you know?"

Dumbledore chuckled again, his eyes twinkling with amusement
