𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐁𝐋𝐎𝐍𝐃 𝐆𝐈𝐑𝐋 𝐂𝐎𝐔𝐋𝐃 hear voices coming from the hallway, "How do you know so much about the Stab movies?"

"Runs in her family. Randy was our uncle", Mindy stated while she entered the living room followed by Dewey, Sam and Richie while she blew her uncle's picture a kiss. "RIP."

"You said to bring everybody", Mindy stated while she pointed at Lizzie and the other's, who had all settled down onto the couch. Mindy had called the earlier that day, telling them all that they had to meet at her house for an intervention.

Dewey immediately made eye contact with Lizzie, who waved at him, a small smile playing on her face. Dewey had been like an uncle to her, that was until his divorce from Gale. After that the happy and bighearted man she once new, had vanished.

Sam greeted them as soon as she stepped into the room, while they all waved awkwardly back at her, "Hey."

Suddenly Martha, Mindy's and Chad's lovely mother entered the living room, with snacks for them in her hands. "Woo, suspects! My brother would be so proud!"

She placed the snacks onto the little table in the middle, before Dewey stepped forward, smiling at the woman, "Hey, Martha."

The woman immediately went in for a big hug, "Dewey! Hi!" The two stepped back from each other, "You look—" She struggled to find the right words and Dewey nodded at her, smiling kindly, "Yeah."

The woman gave him a questioning look, "How's the wife?"

Dewey scrunched up his face in response and Chad interrupted the two before the former Sheriff answered his mother, "Okay, mom. We are good. Thank you."

The woman gave her son a small smile, "All right, kids. Have fun." And with that she left the living room and was out of earshot.

"I asked Mindy to call everybody here, because— there's something I have to tell you—" Sam stated as soon as Mindy's and Chad's mom was gone and with that the woman told them the whole twisted and very fucked up story about how Billy Loomis, the first Ghostface killer to ever be, was her biological father.

"You're saying that you're the daughter of Billy Loomis, and, what, that one of us is the killer?", Chad questioned her, after Sam had finished her monologue.

Sam didn't really answer his question when she answered, "The killer told me he knew my secret. He attacked Tara to lure me back here."

Chad seemed to be still sceptical, "But then why immediately go and murder some douche-nozzle that was stalking Liv?"

"And why does it have to be one of us?", Wes questioned the group curious. "What bout Deputy Dewey here? Maybe he's the killer—", Wes caught the gaze of the man on his opposite. "— No offense."

"None taken, but what's my motive?", the man frowned at him and Lizzie's face expression fell, she knew that Wes was going in for the kill now, no empathy.

Her brother shrugged, before he started listing off a couple of reasons, "You got stabbed a billion times, got dumped by your famous wife and crawled into a bottle. I think it's safe to say you're on the suspect list."

Dewey now gave him a hurt look, "Well, maybe you're the killer— because that cut deep!" The man leaned back against the couch behind him and stared into the distance while Wes exchange a regretful glance with his sister.

"That douche-nozzle is connected. I googled him, his mom is Leslie Macher. Stu Macher's sister", Amber stated while she held her phone up into the air.

Liv seemed to be confused, "Who's Stu Macher?" Dewey leaned forward in his seat and pointed to his head, while his eyes widened, "He's Billy Loomis's accomplice. A real loony tune."

"Okay, okay. So first three attacks are all on people related to the original killers", Sam stated while she gazed at the group.

Suddenly Mindy's mouth dropped open, "Oh my god! He's making a requel!"

"A what?"

"Or like a legacyquel. Fans are torn on the terminology —", she rambled on.

"God please speak English!", Chad begged his sister annoyed while rubbing his forehead frustrated.

Mindy shifted in her seat, "Okay, remember the Stab movie that came out last year?"

Liv's eyes widened in realization while she exclaimed, "Oh yeah, the one the Kinves out guy directed, right? Oh, I actually really liked that one—"

"Of course you did. You have terrible taste", Mindy stated without hesitation and Liv glared at her. "I hate you."

"The point is, the hard-core Stab fans hated it. You got on 4-chan and Dreadit, all they're talking about is how Stab 8 pissed on their childhoods. How they crammed in social commentary just to elevate it. How the main character is a Mary Sue!"

Richie seemed to not understand her, "What's a Mary Sue?" Wes gave him a serious glance, "You really don't want to know."

Amber seemed to be confused, "What's wrong with elevated horror? I mean, Jordan Peele fucking rules."

Mind nodded in agreement, "Obviously, but that's not Stab. Real Stab movies are meta slasher whodunits, full stop."

"Come on, it's just a movie." Sam seemed exhausted and done with the whole topic.

Mindy frowned at her, clearly offended by her comment, "No, it's not. To some people, the original is their favourite thing in the world. The movie that made them love horror. That Mom and Dad showed them when they were ten and bonded them together. And God help anyone who sightly fucks with the special memory. Who makes the movie they think disrespects it."

Lizzie gave her old friend a sceptical glance, not really sure if Mindy wasn't the killer because of her monologue just now.

The dark skinned girl suddenly got onto her feet, "It sounds like our killer is writing his own version of Stab 8, but doing it as a requel!"

Dewey gave her a questioning look, "Which is?"

"See, you can't just reboot a franchise from scratch anymore. The fans won't stand for it. Black Christmas, child's play, Flatliners— that shut doesn't work! But you can't just do a straight sequel, either. Uh— you got to build something new— but not too new, or the Internet goes bug-fucking nuts. It's gotta be part of an ongoing Story line, even if the story shouldn't have been ongoing in the first place. New main characters, yes!"

Her gaze moved over the group, "But supported by and related to legacy characters! Not quite a reboot, not quiet a sequel! Like the new Halloween, Saw, Terminator, Jurassic Park, Ghostbusters— fuck, even Star Wars! It always, always comes down to the original!"

She grabbed a TVD from Stab one and held it up into the air for them to look at.

Sam had a disbelieving look plastered on her face, while her tone showed her anger, "Are you telling me that I'm caught in the middle of—  fan-fucking-fuction?"

"Not just in the middle, Sam— You're the star", the dark skinned girl stated while she sat down on the table in front of her.

Lizzie leaned with her elbows onto her knees, a curious look on her face, "So, not to put too fine a point on it, but, according to the requel rules— who's next?" Her gaze wandered over the group.

"Going by the pattern, whoever it is has to be connected to someone that came before—" Mindy's eyes traveled over to Sam and Lizzie gluped while she gazed over at Wes and then at Dewey.

Dewey had an uncomfortable look on his face, "I'm starting to regret coming here." Wes's eyes widen in complete shock, "Jesus, our mom was a character in one of them."

Mindy quickly shot him a bored look, "No one cares about the shitty inferior sequels, Wes. You two are safe."

After a small pause she went on, looking over at her twin, "With Randy as our uncle, though, you and I are probably screwed."

Chad comprehended what she had just said, "Wait— what?"

Suddenly Richie engaged into the conversation, "Or you're the killer, and this whole elaborate monologue is just to cover your tracks."

Mindy scoffed and had a wide smile on her face, "I think it's pretty clear who the killer is at this point."

"Who?", Sam questioned her.

The smile on Mindy's face had disappeared, "You.— it makes perfect requel sense."

Chad seemed to agree with his sister, "That actually does make a lot of sense." Liv noddedbas well, "Yeah."

Sam glanced from the other's over to the former Deputy, who just shrugged at her helplessly. Sam then scoffed loudly before she jumped up from the couch, "Fuck this!"

And with that the brunette woman stormed out of the house, followed by her boyfriend Richie.

"Well, that went fucking fantastic."

𝐈𝐍 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐄𝐀𝐑𝐋𝐘 𝐀𝐅𝐓𝐄𝐑𝐍𝐎𝐎𝐍, Lizzie walked upstairs from the basement, Tara on the phone while she held her clean laundry in her hands. The blond flinched in surprise when she met her brother and mom in the hallway.

Her mother had a large knife in her hand, which made Lizzie frown at the blond woman. But she still listened to Tara on the other end of the phone, "Lizzie, you're still there?"

"Yeah— yeah, I'm still here. Um— I call you back later. Is that okay?", the blond questioned her friend while she watched how Wes seemed to completly ignore the knife, when he questioned, "What's for dinner?"

"Yeah, sure. Talk to you later", Tara answered her and Lizzie hung up on her after saying goodbye.

"Shushi, I was just leaving to pick it up", their mother stated simply when she picked up her purse and turned towards her children.

Wes gave her an confused look, "Why don't you just Postmates it?"

"Oh, it gets all smoothy by the time it's here. I know you hate that", she answered her son, a loving smile playing on her lips and Wes chuckled.

"Go take a shower, Wes. Lizzie you can get the table ready. I'll be back soon", she then instructed her children before she held up the large knife and glanced at her daughter. "Can you put this away for me?"

Lizzie grabbed the knife carefully from her mother's hand, "Yes." Judie Hicks leaned forward and placed a kiss on both of her childrens foreheads before she quickly turned to open the door, "Thank you. Love you!"

"Love you!", the two siblings called after her in union before she closed the door behind herself.

Wes immediately locked the door and Lizzie held up the knife, "What was that for?" Her eyebrows were raised.

Wes slightly shook his head, "I don't know." The blond sniffed the air and frowned. "Okay, go take a shower. You stink!", she told her brother, a smile on her face.

The boy quickly jogged up the stairs and took a quick shower while Lizzie was in the kitchen, preparing the table.

Suddenly she heard Wes's voice from behind her, "Do you need help?" The blond jumped into the air, her heart pounding against her ribcage. "Jesus! Wes! I swear to God! Don't sneak up on me like that!"

Her brother chuckled quietly, "Sorry." Lizzie shook her head at him after she regained her normal heartbeat. She leaned onto the counter and started answering the text Chad had sent her a moment before, "No, everything ready. Only waiting for Mom now."

The blond glanced over at her brother, who was looking at someone message. The girl smiled widely when she saw that it was Tara's number.

Suddenly Wes glanced up at her and saw that she was staring at his chat. The boy quickly turn his phone out and gave her a glare, "No peeking at my chats, Liz!"

The blond chuckled while she gave him an innocent look, "I think you two would be cute together."

The boy shrugged while he cleared his throat, "I don't know what you're talking about."

The blond sighed quietly, accepting the fact that her brother wouldn't admit his crush on Tara. "Someday she'll notice you. I'll promise."

Wes couldn't suppress a small smile from forming on his face before he nudged her jokingly. "Shut up."

Lizzie chuckled, "Love you too."

Suddenly there was a noise, like a door was opened and Lizzie immediately stopped typing on her phone while she turned to look at Wes, "Did you hear that?"

The boy nodded and suddenly exclaimed, "Mom?" Lizzie immediately shushed him, slapping against his shoulder, "Seriously? Be quiet!"

There was no answer and Lizzie's stomach felt like it was turning upside-down. The blond immediately grabbed one of the kinves from the large knife block. But meanwhile Wes had stepped outside into the hallway, not thinking that it was anyone other than their Mom, who got just back home. "Mom?"

Lizzie spun on her heel, but when she turned towards the hallway, wanting to follow after her brother her eyes widened at the sight with someone in a Ghostface costume standing right behind her.

The blond couldn't even react as fast as Ghostface jammed his knife into her abdomen.

The girl drew in a sharp breath while she slowly looked up into the mask. Her breath trembled before Ghostface slowly pulled the knife out and stabbed her again.

The girl sunk slowly onto her knees while she pressed her hands onto her wounds and Ghostface quickly left another cut on her arm, before he stepped out into the hallway.

Lizzie wanted to scream for Wes, but she was paralyzed from the pain and shock she was currently in.

The blond started trembling heavily and the tears started rolling down her face while she crawled over to her phone, immediately calling the police.

The boy in the hallway noticed that the door was slightly open as soon as he entered. He had a weird feeling in his stomach while he slowly approached the door, closing it, before he spun around with a deep sighed.

Suddenly his eyes landed on someone in a Ghostface costume, standing right behind him. The boy's eyes widened in shock while he started screaming loudly.

Thes killer immediately attacked him and Lizzie heard the screams from the kitchen.

Despite the imense pain she felt the girl got onto her feet hurried out into the hallway, where she saw how Wes was struggling with the killer.

Lizzie's heart felt like it would jump out of her chest any minute and she was definitely going to be sick, but the girl didn't waste a second before she  tightened her grip on the knife she still had from the block in the kitchen and stormed towards the killer.

Ghostface quickly spun around and punched her into the face, sending her backwards onto the floor and giving the girl a nose bleed.

Lizzie screamed out in pain while she held her nose, "Motherfucker!" And Wes was still struggling against the killer. "Fuck— you!"

The girl felt dizzy because of the blood loss, but despite that she still got onto her feet and stummbled towards her brother and the killer, desperat to save him from being killed.

She had this feeling of panic in her chest and it felt like she was about to choke due to the shock she felt at the moment.

But Wes met her gaze over the killers shoulder, his voice trembled because of the force he had to use to press the knife away from him, "Liz— run!"

The blond wanted to charge at the killer, but in that moment Ghostface succeeded to stab her brother into his throat, making the blood run down his neck while he choked on it.

Lizzie started screaming out of the top of her lungs before she cried even harder, while holding her wounded arm, "You motherfucker —!"

She still had the knife in her hand while she heard Wes slowly chocking, suddenly the police sirens could be heared and Lizzie gave Wes one last look, but his eyes were already staring into the distance, the life inside gone.

The blond girl cried out and quickly hurriedly out the backdoor before she rounded the house. Her heart was still beating loudly in her chest and she only stopped running when she had reached the large group of cops, who had gathered around the front of her house.

"Help! Please, help! We were attacked— My brother— he's— he's —", the girl ran into the arms of the first officer she saw. Her voice trembled and she tried to breath, but everything hurted, "— he's dead!"

The officer gave her a worried look, "Everything okay. You're safe now."

Lizzie turn around, her breath still going fast, but it suddenly hitched in her throat when she saw the lifeless body of a blond woman laying right in front of their porch.

The blond girl suddenly let out a bone shattering scream when she realized who that woman was. Elizabeth felt her legs turning weak and her mind wanting to just let go. She wanted to collapse onto the floor there and then.

She wanted to scream and to cry and run towards her mother's lifeless body, but the officer grabbed her and quickly pushed the teenager towards the ambulance, that was already standing on the other side of the street.

Lizzie was still crying and screaming for her mother awfully, when the officer gave her a simpathetic look, "They're going to take care of you know."

The blond couldn't show any kind of reaction, other than to continue sobbing uncontrollably, the image's of her brother being killed and her mother's body flashing in her mind without a pause.

She couldn't stop crying, the tears were rolling down her cheek and she just couldn't stop. As much as she wanted to.

The paramedic was a young, brunette woman, who gave her a sympathetic look while she lead her inside the ambulance.

"You're going to be okay, honey", the young woman told her while she rubbed her back and laid her down on a stretcher. She took a good look at the wounds, "—But we have to to get you to the hospital first."
