ONCE HE WAS DONE WITH HIS AUDITION, CASSIE, ANTHONY, CHLOE, LIBBY AND AUNT HEIDI all went to the entrance and waited for Nate.

The door opened and there was Nate, "Hi."

"Oh my god!" Cassie squealed running up to hug him, "You were amazing, my shining star."

"Thank you Cassie," Nate smiled, "I'm so glad you came to see it."

"And why wouldn't I?" Cassie asked, "I wouldn't miss this crazy audition for the world."

Anthony then came forward which made the two to break away from their hug but Cassie still had her arm around Nate's shoulder. "I didn't know you could, do like, all that."

"You don't let me sing in the house." Nate deadpanned.

"Wow, your comebacks have gotten sharper in New York." Libby observed.

"Really?"

"What? They have." Cassie then dropped her arm off from Nate's shoulder and looked up at Anthony who was already looking down at her.

"My mom just sent me an all-caps text saying why aren't you at your dad's? I'm worried sick." Libby announced.

"O-kay, Cass and Anthony are making goo goo eyes at each other. Cassie, we have to get going." Chloe rolled her eyes and grabbed Cassie's arm, leading her away from Anthony.

"Perfect timing, I'm double parked. Let's go." Anthony ordered. 

Before Cassie could follow him out, Chloe yanked on her arm backwards. "So he didn't deny it and neither were you. Just admit it, you like him."

"I-uh, what?" Cassie stuttered, "I do not."

"The blush on your face says otherwise.." Chloe sang, "Cmon, it's obvious he feels the same way."

"We are not talking about this now." Cassie gritted her teeth, "Shut up."

"Anthony, someone's putting a ticket on your truck." Libby announced.

Aunt Heidi pointed to the doors, "Go now. You go now."

"My bad, officer!" Anthony shouted as he limped out the door. Now, the five of them were in the car ready to go home.

"I call DJ.. even from the back!" Libby exclaimed shooting a death glare to Cassie.

"No show tunes or I drive off the highway." Anthony fake smiled.

"You really have learned nothing today, have you?" Libby questioned.

"Uh, baby steps." Anthony responded as he started to drive back home.

NOW BACK IN PENNSYLVANIA, LIBBY HAD GOTTEN ANTHONY TO LISTEN TO DEFYING GRAVITY. As everyone was singing, Cassie was only looking at Anthony and the song lyrics were so identical to her life situation right now. Such as, 'something is not the same'. That's because it wasn't, she had a crush on her best friend and things could change in a matter of seconds.

First, they dropped off Libby and Nate both at their houses, which they had a nice moment and then they arrived at the Parker's household and just as Cassie was about to get out, Anthony locked the car door.

"What—? Anth, the car door is locked." Cassie stated looking back at him, "I can't get out."

"Cass," Anthony mumbled, his face inching toward hers by the minute which made her eyes widen, the tingly feeling returning. "Can I kiss you?"

"Wha—" Cassie started, but couldn't finish her train of thought because the touch of Anthony's lips on hers sent her into shock. She pulled away putting her hands on the sides of his face trying to regain her breath, "What's this about?" She whispered.

"I've liked you ever since I met you Cass. If you don't feel the same way, then we'll go back to being friends but—" This time, Cassie didn't let him finish and brought his face closer to hers and attached their lips again feeling his hands go to the back of her neck.

"So you actually do like me back and do think I'm too attractive for us not to be friends?" Anthony pulled away, playing with the ends of her ponytail.

Cassie rolled her eyes playfully as she looked down at Anthony's hand playing with her hair feeling the tingly sensation return, "I guess. So, what does that kiss make us?"

Anthony tilted his head to the side, "For a smart girl Cassie, you should know what that makes us now."

"Boyfriend and girlfriend?" Cassie asked.

"Bingo." Anthony smiled, "Cassie Parker, would you be my girlfriend?"

Cassie smiled, reaching up and taking Anthony's hand in her own. "Yes."

EVERYTHING WORKED OUT PERFECTLY IN THE END. Nate got casted as Stitch in Lilo & Stitch, the broadway musical, Aunt Heidi and Mrs. Foster got back on good terms and also, Aunt Heidi is now in 'a Solidarity Woman', Libby became Nate's agent, Chloe became TikTok famous overnight and Anthony and Cassie have been dating for 2 months already. Life was good.

But right now, Cassie was currently filming a video for Libby as she wore Anthony's red flannel and black leggings with black converse as she wore a smile. "I honestly don't know where I'm going in my life, but I know whenever I get a calling or some sort, I know the right agent to call."

"Babe!" Anthony called from inside the truck, "Cmon!"

Cassie smiled, "Was that good?"

Libby nodded. "Perfectly."

"Thank you for thinking of me Libby, see you both later." Cassie walked over to the truck door and opened it, sitting in the passenger seat.

  Anthony took her hand, "Ready?"

"Born ready."
