The feast that night was mesmerising and Estrella couldn't seem to keep her eyes on one thing for a second too long. "Here try this! Oh and this! Oh you HAVE to try this!" Isabella kept shoving food onto the witches plate leaving her more than full.

"Issy if you don't stop I'll turn into a stuffed pig." Estrella joked, taking yet another cauldron cake from the very top of the mountain Isabella had made. The girl gave her a glare back before her eyes trailed off behind her head. "THE JELLY!" She yelped. "YOU HAVE TO TRY IT!" She jumped up out of her seat and scurried down the table.

Estrella sat quietly for a few moments more but couldn't shake the feeling of someone staring at her. Finally her eyes looked up and she turned her head, meeting the gaze of a very handsome boy who didn't bother to look away now that he had been caught. He stood up after a while, walking over and scaring the student sat in front of Estrella out of his seat and plopped himself down. "Blaise Zabini." He introduced himself, arms crossed and still. "I think your pretty."

"I'm-" Estrella cleared her throat and her voice came out as a hoarse whisper. "I'm Estrella Consuelas and thank you." She blushed slightly, praying Isabella would hurry up with the jelly.

    "Are you new?"

"Have you seen me around before?" Blaise shook his head. "Well then there's your answer."

      "We're you from?"

      "Venezuela."

"What school did you use to go to?"

       "It was called-"

"Blaise if you really want to shoot your shot with a girl, interrogating her isn't going to work." Isabella finally came back with two copper plates and wobbling jelly on them.

"Mind your business blood traitor," He sneered before he turned back to Estrella with a cold look in his eyes. "If you want to fit in here I don't think she is the right person to hang around."

"Oh and you are?" Estrella furrowed her eyebrows at him. Blaise's upper lip curled slightly as he stood up, purposely knocking the table forward so Estrella's goblet toppled over. "And to think I thought he was handsome." She chastised herself, standing up and whining when she saw her skirt had been soaked with pumpkin juice.

"Does anyone have a napkin?" She looked around yet everyone shook their heads with apologetic looks.

"Here! Take this." A voice called out and soon enough Harry Potter was stood in front of her with his jumper in his hand.

"Harry that's your jumper I can't take it."

"No it's fine, I have 2 others anyway. Come on Estrella, I insist."

She shook her head again, pushing his hand away but jumped at the buzz she felt from him. Harry looked at his hand in awe before scurrying closer, wiping at the table and then her leg. "Really Harry," She stepped back, the shots of blissful electricity making her legs weak, "You don't have to."

He stood up to his full height, his cheeks a little rosy and a boyish grin on his face. The two of them stood for a few moments, Harry itching to take a hold of her hand and Estrella torn between wether she would give in or not.

"I better get back to eating," She pointed at her plate filled with jelly. "You should too."

"Right," Harry smiled dejectedly. "Eat well."

Estrella rewarded him with a strained smile before turning back around to sit down in her seat. She grabbed a spoon in silence and began to dig into her jelly, feelings of longing and guilt bubbling in her stomach.

She drowned out any noise around her, focusing in on the back of Harry's head, confused on what to do. Does she give in or does she stay away? It was getting harder and harder to see Harry's face fall everytime she avoided him but it's was for her own good.

The last thing Estrella wanted was to die because she gave her soul away to a desperate pining idiot— okay that was too harsh. To an idiot.

"Happiness can be found in the darkest of times, if one only remembers to turn on the light." Dumbledore's voice rang out, bringing her back to reality. At that moment Harry turned around meeting her questioning gaze and instantly their eyes shined gold, the urge to meet in the middle too strong but Estrella pulled away, smiling at Harry one last time before standing up and joining the rest of her house to the dormitories.

"You okay? You're spacing out a lot." Isabella linked their arms together as they walked down the hallways, to the dungeons.

"Yeah I'm fine, just trying to figure things out."

"You wanna talk about it?"

"It's nothing big don't worry about it. Anyway whats our first lesson tomorrow?"

      "Divination."

"Right so like the worst subject in the world." Estrella groaned.

"Welcome, my children. In this room you shall discover the noble art of Divination. In this room! You shall discover if you possess the sight! I am Professor Trelawney and together we shall cast ourselves into the future!"

"The sight? I swear her glasses are only that big for show." Kiana grumbled. Isabella and Estrella both snorted, looking down at their teacups filled with an black grains of tea leaves.

"...The art of reading tea leaves! So please, pick up the teacup of the perosn sitting," Trelawney moved her arms so they were crossed over each other. "Opposite you."

"Let's rotate," Estrella decided amongst the three of them, handing her teacup to Kiana who handed hers to Isabella and got Estrella's in return leaving Estrella with Isabella's.

"Who wants to go first?"

Neither of the two girls raised their hands. "Fine I guess Isabella can do mine then." The girl grinned grabbing the book from the middle of the table and looking through matching the pictures to the tea leaves.

"Well by the looks of it, it seems the future your trying to hard to avoid is going to happen inevitably and when it does it won't be as bad as it seems? You're going to suffer...but you're going to be happy about it?" Isabella's voice echoed Ron's who was sat behind them.

"Harry's got the same fate," He chirped. "He's got a wonky looking cross and what looks like a sun?" Kiana snickered looking over at Harry and teasing him. Trelawney walked past their table, reprimanding the girl before looking at Estrella and giving her a sweet smile.

"You doing okay dear?" She asked, looking down at her teacup sitting in front of Isabella. Her reassuring smile dropped for a second, a look of pity adorning her features as she lay her eyes back onto Estrella. "....In the end, I think it all might be worth it." And with that she stepped away walking to Ron's table behind them.

"This is so annoying," Estrella whined. "Everyone keeps talking in riddles around me and I wish someone would just tell me what to do."

"What does she mean by "In the end"?" Isabella asked her. "And why do I feel this has to do with Harry?"

Estrella stayed silent for a couple moments. "Can I trust you two?" She looked up at them solemnly. The girls made eye contact with each other before turning back to Estrella and nodding.

"Well you see, me and Harry, we—"

A yell came from behind them, cutting her confession short as they turned to see Trelawney gazing gravely at Harry, rubbing her hands together as if she had been burned. "You my dear...have got the-the Grimm."

"The Grin? What's the Grin?" Seamus' voice rang out from behind them.

"Not the Grin you idiot, the Grimm," Bem rolled his eyes at Seamus. "Taking form of a giant dog, it's one of the darkest omens of our world. It's an omen...of death."

Estrella felt her world collapse. She gazed at Harry, a gasp leaving her lips as she watched the boy pick up the teacup and gaze down harshly at the shape the tea leaves had taken. The shape that turned his world upside down.

He looked up meeting her gaze with his own pained one reflecting it. Estrella shook her head in reassurance, signalling he would be fine and Harry felt a slight weight lifted off of his shoulders yet the same thoughts still lingered. Why me? Why now? What did I do to deserve this?

"Ella let's get going, we've got Care of Magical Creatures next." Isabella clasped the girls shoulder. She nodded mindlessly, her eyes still trained on Harry's frozen figure but still managed to grab her bag and walk out with her two friends.

"He doesn't deserve that," Estrella spoke up as they walked down the spiral staircase. "No one does but especially not him."

"And why does Harry get such special treatment?" Kiana teased, cooing at the blush rising on her friends cheeks.

"No resason." Estrella quipped. "It's just, hasn't he been through enough?"

"I mean he has had You Know Who on his arse for two years now. I guess he does deserve to catch a break." Kiana shrugged. "But still, I sense somebody has a crush on The Boy Who Lived."

"Do not," Estrella shoved her shoulder.

"You don't what?" Inaya jogged up to join the trio, bullying her way to Estrella's side to give her a hug as they all walked down the steps. Isabella kindly mapped out the pathway to Estrella to help her remember as Inaya hung off her shoulder, not that she would need it though, if Hagrid's hut had magical creatures then that is where you would find her.

"Little Miss Brazil over here has a crush on Potter."

"Oh really? I'd say it's the other way around. He's so enamoured by her." Inaya gushed as if she was recalling the love story of two characters in a novel. "Did you see yesterday how Harry was so quick to help her clean up?"

"That was nothing," Estrella waved her off. "He was just being desperately friendly."

"Hey girls," Hermione's voice rang out from behind them. "Wasn't that Divination lesson an absolute mess?"

"Yes Merlin it was a joke," Kiana groaned. "That whole Grimm bullshit was such a hoax."

"I don't know, it seemed pretty real to me." Ron perked up, he and Harry joining the conversation, as Ron fell into step with Kiana and bumped shoulders with her. "Considering the fact that Harry causes trouble everywhere he goes."

Estrella giggled, turning back to Harry with a cheeky smile. "You're a magnet for bad luck."

"I can't help being born this way." He joked back, feeling giddy she was the one to speak to him first. Given she was probably doing this out of pity but still, Harry would take it not matter what.

Walking past Hagrid's hut the group alongside the rest of the class walked towards a small clearing were they found Hagrid with his back turned from them. Estrella stepped up to the front, her neck craning to see what exactly the figure behind Hagrid was, excitement brewing in her very being.

She paid no mind to poor Neville who stepped up next to her looking positively torn up from his Monster Book of Monsters.

"How are you meant to open this book exactly?" Malfoy's snooty voice rang out from behind them.

"Well you stroke the spine of course!" Hagrid looked at the class incredulously.

"Bet you wish you knew that earlier." Estrella nudged Neville's arm who laughed along with her, innocently nudging her back.

"I think they're funny," Hermione told Harry, Ron and Isabella. Estrella stepped forward along with Neville joining their conversation.

"Oh yeah terribly funny. Really witty." Malfoy butt in. "God this place has gone to the dogs, wait till my father hears Dumbledore's got this oaf teaching classes." He spat out.

His goons laughed along with him. Kiana and Harry both rolled their eyes, dumped their bags at their feet and stepping forward. "Shut up Malfoy." Harry drawled, keeping his eyes trained on him.

"Funny how you have the most to say, Daddy's little champ." Kiana crossed her arms, standing behind Harry protectively.

"Ooooo," Malfoy chastised, taking his bag off his shoulder and dumping it in Crabbe's awaiting hands. By now a circle had formed around the three of them, Malfoy's ego inflating with every sauntering step he took towards the duo.

He stopped in front of them, looking them up and down before something caught his eye above them. He staggered back slightly, stammering as his pointed to the sky. "D-Dementor! Dementor!" He yelled out, Harry's stomach dropped as he whipped around, eyes wide to be faced with....nothing.

The herd of Slytherin's laughter echoed around them as they lifted their hoods over their heads, emitting creepy noises and wiggling their fingers about. Kiana grabbed Harry's arms, flipping the idiots the bird and pulling back over, making sure he was alright. "I'm fine Ki," Harry shrugged her off.

"I know, don't pay that wimp any mind." Kiana squeezed his shoulder.

Hagrid finally had stepped out from behind the low hanging branches, clearing his throat and opening his arms wide, turning the attention towards,

"Oh my Hippogriffs!" Estrella gasped in fascination, stepping up beside Harry.

"Right you are! Say hello to Buckbeak and Beakby! Aren't they beautiful." Hagrid pulled a dead possums from around his neck and threw them over, the two Hippogriffs catching and swallowing them mid-air.

"First thing you want to know about Hippogriffs is that they very proud creatures. Very easily offended. You do not want to insult a Hippogriff, might just be the last thing you do."

Estrella noted off everything she could remember from her encyclopaedia's about Hippogriffs, practically levitating with excitement at finally seeing one in person.

"Now," Hagrid clapped his hands together. "Who wants to ride one?"

"I do! Oh, please Hagrid!" Estrella bounced up and down. Hagrid smiled, pleased with her excitement and looked around to see if anyone else had stepped up for the role.

"Oh great Harry you too! The both of yous come on up."

Harry looked back alarmed, seeing everyone had stepped back leaving him and Estrella the only volunteers. While Estrella walked forward timid but excited, Harry stayed rooted to his spot. Well that was until Ron came up behind him and pushed him forward, forcing him to engage.

"Now, you have to let them make the first move. It's only polite. Okay then, step up, give a nice bow and wait to see if they bow back. Simple."

Estrella made her way towards Beakby, bending low, her posture mimicking exactly the way she had read about before. Moments after she heard footsteps get closer before seeing the head of a Hippogriff before her. She grinned happily, tentative to reach out and pet but gained more confidence as she received no hostility.

Harry however was a different story.

As he stepped forward, Buckbeak paid him no mind at all, focusing in on the leaves beneath him as he watched Harry bow before him.

"W-what if he doesn't bow back?" Harry asked timidly. His eyes flickered over to Estrella who already seems to be bonding very well with her Hippogriff, smoothing out her feathers and talking animatedly to her.

"We'll cross that bridge when we get to it." Hagrid smiled stiffly.

The rest of the class gathered around, some watching Estrella in awe, others watching Harry expectantly. Malfoy and his goons bullied their way front, Malfoy watching the both of them with a sneer as he bit into his green apple.

Harry bowed low, his eyes darting everywhere, not daring to look up. Buckbeak finally turned his attention toward Harry and so did Estrella who tutted at his posture. "He's too high up, and his back isn't arched either you see Beakby?" She petted her slightly, nosing her soft soft feathers.

Buckbeak squawked, his wings flapping out wildly. "Back off Harry! Back off." Hagrid hurriedly waved him back, Harry taking a couple of slow as possible steps back before standing on a twig and snapping it.

The sound shocked Hermione behind them who grabbed onto Ron's shirt mindlessly. Slowly Buckbeak bowed back, Harry earning an applause from Hagrid, the rest of the class and most importantly Estrella who beamed at him.

"You can go pet him now, go on." Hagrid urged. Harry stepped forward once again, his hand extended before him as he neared Buckbeak. The Hippogriff stamped his feet slightly, snapping at Harry's hand a couple of times making his heart rate spike simultaneously.

Hermione's hand by now has moved to grip Ron's wrist, Kiana glancing at the two with jealous eyes, shaking the feelings before they festered.

Harry stepped forward once more and finally Buckbeak bowed his head slightly letting Harry pet him. The boy let out a large sigh of relief, going ham and petting the Hippogriff, his new found friend, as much as he could.

"Great! I think you two ought to ride them now?"

"Ride them? Hagrid no, no!" Harry protested but there wasn't much he could do as Hagrid had already lifted him up and placed him on top of the Hippogriff.

"Hold on tight! Don't rip out any feathers though, they won't forgive you for that." And with one last slap to Buckbeak's behind the Hippogriff took off running, leaping into the air and extending his wings, Harry lurching forward to hold his neck tightly as the Hippogriff soared up into the sky.

He kept his face dug into the feathers as the wind rushed in his ears, seeping through his dark brown hair and clothes. It took a few moments more before Harry felt them soaring peacefully to lift his head up to see they were flying above the Great Lake, the landscape bare for miles.

Above him a figure zoomed past, his heart lurching once more immediately telling him who it was. Estrella's laugh was heard for miles as Beakby flew up high and dropped low before spinning in circles, giving the girl the time of her life.

"Catch us if you can Potter!" She called out to him, waving him forward as they headed towards the school.

Harry laughed, pointed Buckbeak in their direction. The Hippogriff complied, speeding up until they were flying side by side.

"It's beautiful isn't it." Estrella called out.

"Extremely. I feel so free."

"I want to feel like this all the time Harry, I love this so much."

"Me too." He agreed, watching how the autumn sun lit up her face, the image of her serene smile so beautiful that Harry wanted to tattoo this image into his mind forever.

As their journey in the sky ended, the two conversed more as the Hippogriffs slowed down, finding out more about eachother in the space of 10 minutes that had Harry falling even harder and Estrella melting even more.

They came back into view Hagrid whistling for the two Hippogriff to land, the rest of the class rushing after them as they jumped off. Immediately Estrella was pulled in by her four girls who she gushed about the ride.

"It was magical honestly. So incredibly freeing."

"I want to have a go too!" Inaya whined. Hermione giggled over at her before poking Estrella in the stomach.

"What was that blushy, giggly episode you had with Harry as you landed?"

"It was nothing," She pushed her fingers away. "We were just bonding over some stuff. I felt bad for ignoring him all the time and I wanted to take a chance to get to know him." Without having any means of touching him She wanted to add on.

Suddenly from behind them a loud squawk was heard and the five whipped around to see Buckbeak's alarmed and a writhing Malfoy on the floor. Estrella rushed forward, turning to Hagrid in emergency.

"Professor, he has to be taken to the hospital wing!" She urged. Hagrid paused, stunned by the title of Professor, before quickly made his way over, picking up a whining blubbering Malfoy and walking off.

"Wait until my father heard about this! You and your bloody bird!" He wailed.

"He's such a baby." Estrella tutted, picking up her bag from the floor and following the rest of the gang to lunch.

"He's so annoying for that exact reason," Inaya grumbled. "He acts all tough until he gets a liddol papercwut and suddenly baby Malfoy is hwurt."

They all laughed loudly, walking into the castle, their conversation turning to a topic about new hair trends before Estrella felt a tap on her shoulder.

The electricity she felt from his presence was more than enough to indicate who it was and as she beckoned for her friends to go ahead she found herself alone in a hallway with Harry Potter.

"You looked really pretty, up in the sky." His cheeks burned red.

"Thank you Harry." Estrella felt her heart race pick up.

"And I know I've been acting too forward with you and I'm sorry. I shouldn't keep trying to come near you if you're not comfortable and I'll try to respect your personal space more."

"Harry, first of all thank you and second of all it's not that you're too forward. I know you feel whats going on between us too...and I think it's for the best we don't find ourselves alone together much, not until we know what's going to happen at least."

"But why? I understand we're too young to know what love is or whatnot but I can't deny I'm developing feelings for you abnormally too fast."

"That's not you speaking Harry. I feel these feelings too but you need to understand, it's not just love. It's dangerous, it means I'll end up in pieces."

"I won't break your heart. I promise." He stepped forward desperately. In return she stepped back.

"It's not that Harry! You're not listening to me! If we let this bond form completely we are bound together. For life. You and I cannot escape from one another and if we try and I know for sure I won't have a happy ending and Merlin knows what it will do to you."

"I-I don't understand..."

"You don't need to. Just...please Harry...let's try and be normal while we learn more." And with that Estrella turned away, rushing towards the Great Hall.

"Does this mean we can't be friends?"

"Of course we can....we'll try Harry. I'll try. For you."

And with that she turned the corner and disappeared out of sight leaving Harry with a lighter heart than normal, still confused but reassured that he wasn't going crazy.

I'll try. For you.

"I'll try for you too."
